Part 1/2
Peter B. Parker pinched himself. "Not dreaming... How am I alive? My cellular degeneration's gone too."
"The Demon King saved us," Noir said casually, just as bloodcurdling screams erupted from outside.
"KILL ME! JUST KILL ME ALREADY!"
No one reacted except Peter B., who leapt up. Noir grabbed his arm.
"What're you doing? Someone's being tortured!" Peter B. shouted.
"Listen closely," Noir said, pointing to his ears.
Peter B. froze. Everyone was present—meaning...
"...Carnage?" His eyes widened as Noir's earlier words registered. "Gwen's husband? The Demon King's here?"
"Arrived right as Carnage was carving Gwen up. I'd stay put if I were you."
Peter B. noticed Miles absentmindedly fitting a severed arm against his shoulder. He swatted it away—straight into Spider-Ham's lap.
"Miles! Stop that—you're traumatized!"
"It's my arm," Miles said blankly.
"Even if it's your—wait what?!"
Spider-Ham tossed the limb back with a shrug.
Peter B. pinched his nose. "No playing with detached limbs."
"...Okay."
The three Spiders sat in silence.
"How long's His Demonic Majesty gonna... continue?"
"I wanna go home."
"Judging by the screams, he's winding down. Even divine wrath has limits after an hour."
"Can we even get home?"
"I wanna go home."
"Ms. Octopus and Penny are checking the collider data, but repairs would take months."
"Think the Demon King could send us back?"
"I wanna—"
Peter B. abruptly locked Miles in a headlock. "Home? You reckless brat! I told you to stay put!"
"Ow ow ow! I'll stay! I'll stay!"
Noir smirked. Miles' trauma was obvious—but Peter B.'s roughhousing therapy worked better than words.
Then—silence.
The screaming stopped.
Everyone tensed. What did the Demon King look like? Horned? Three meters tall? Cloven-hoofed—?
A cloaked figure whooshed in.
"Hello, Spider-People," Chino greeted cheerfully.
"H-hi..."
The collective mental image shattered. This was the Demon King? Young. Handsome. Smiling like a Disney prince. If not for the hour-long soundtrack of agony, they'd have mistaken him for an angel.
"MY BABY!"
Venom erupted from Chino, engulfing Damian in a glomp while healing his injuries.
Peter B. stiffened—Venom?! But this one seemed... maternal?
Part 2/2
"Venom-Mom! Teach! My Decapitation Demon's gone!" Damian whined (though he knew the demon was fine).
Chino snapped his fingers. A portal opened, revealing two demons arguing:
"Balthazar! Ever seen sins like this? This guy's record puts your criminals to shame!"
"Your head got eaten."
"YOU—! I protected Her Highness! The King will reward me!"
"Your head got eaten."
"I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU—!"
"Enough. His Majesty summons you."
THUD.
The Decapitation Demon tumbled out mid-lunge. Seeing Chino, he kneeled instantly.
"My Liege!"
"Your sentence is over. Name your reward," Chino said. Without him, Gwen and Damian might not have survived.
The demon glanced at Damian. "Might I... continue guarding the Young Prince?"
Hell no was he returning to the underworld's paperwork.
"Granted. Anything else?"
The demon tapped his bone blades. "Stronger weapons, Sire. Had these not shattered..."
Chino nodded—Adamantium. He'd have Tom locate Stryker's facility.
As the demon retreated into Damian's tattoo (now with free passage), Gwen asked the burning question:
"Chino... where's Carnage?"
"He wasn't full after the hand-torn chicken, so I treated him to barbecue," Chino said pleasantly.
Hand-torn—?
Barbecue—?!
The Spiders shuddered.
Chino turned to the dancing Venus Flytrap—its belly now motionless. Time for the mastermind.
"Spit him out."
Using Poison Ivy's powers, he commanded the plant. With a shudder, it horked out a slime-covered Kingpin before reverting to a seed.
"Just kill me," Kingpin rasped. After hearing Carnage's screams from inside the plant, he knew mercy wasn't coming.
"Want your wife and child back?" Chino asked.
Kingpin's breath hitched.
"Don't believe me?"
Chino vanished.
Before anyone could blink, he reappeared—with a coffin. Inside lay this universe's deceased Peter Parker.
One second. That's all it took to raid a graveyard.
As Chino filled the coffin with water and revival serum, Miles gasped.
"No way—"
Chino's glance silenced him. "Relax. I'm one of the good guys."
Penny and Ms. Octopus watched, fascinated—one having been resurrected this way, the other seeing magic for the first time.
Kingpin's fists clenched. Could this really work?
