Chapter 248 - Warhammer: Lord of the Endless Monster Horde [248]

"That's right, Chapter Master Dante! That is Lady Elena, the female Primarch. She can also become gigantic in battle and possesses the power to control ice.

All her genetic descendants are Sisters of Battle, and these women warriors also share the power to manipulate ice," said the Ultramarines Captain.

Chapter Master Dante of the Blood Angels nodded in response.

The shock this female giant gave him was no less than seeing the Custodes or the massive Imperial Knights.

But then again, it's kind of normal for a Primarch to have this level of combat power.

Normal? Who am I kidding—this is so not normal! A female Primarch is shocking enough!

And as a son of Sanguinius, Dante knew exactly how formidable his genetic father was.

After all, the Blood Angels' headquarters keeps some combat footage—records of Sanguinius fighting an Emperor-class Titan alone.

Even when Sanguinius fought an Emperor-class Titan, he didn't go toe-to-toe slugging it out. He kited it, using his flight advantage to dodge attacks, and then hacked the Titan down with his powerful sword.

And even then, it was never a one-hit kill.

His father, Sanguinius, needed a good while to dismantle that giant.

But this female giant standing before him—if she fought an Emperor-class Titan, she'd probably take it out in two punches!

Even the Custodes and that giant Dreadnought could probably do it—never mind their terrifying ice powers!

Just their size alone was enough to shock anyone! The great genetic father probably wasn't even as big as her hand.

"Who exactly is this female Primarch? The Emperor is already on the Golden Throne—there's no way he could have come down and made another Primarch," Dante asked, looking at Elena.

He could accept a male Primarch, since there were supposed to be twenty, and two had their records erased.

If this was one of the lost Primarchs, Dante could accept it.

But a female Primarch—how did she come to be?

The Emperor made all the Primarchs, but now, sitting trapped on the Golden Throne, he couldn't possibly make new ones.

"This female Primarch was born in an extremely special way. She wasn't created by the Emperor—she's a miracle of humanity.

The Emperor himself has acknowledged her. I don't have the clearance for the details, but the Chapter Masters and Primarchs know," the Ultramarines Captain explained, seeing Dante's confusion.

How the female Primarch came to be—or the new Primarch Lord Rhodes—these were top Imperial secrets. Guilliman knew, the Emperor knew, Calgar knew, and maybe the Custodian did too.

Some in the Ultramarines even speculated that Guilliman's ability to become gigantic was related to Lord Rhodes.

Lady Elena had been an ordinary Hospitaller Sister before she became a female Primarch, also due to Lord Rhodes.

But Calgar strictly forbade discussing this in the Chapter—anyone caught would be punished, reprimanded by the Chaplain and Captain, and persistent offenders would be expelled.

"This is surprising! After the war, I must visit Lady Elena and Lord Rhodes to thank them for their rescue," Dante said.

At that moment, the battlefield shifted again. The Emperor's Custodian suddenly took off, hovering about 500 meters up, both palms shining with golden light.

From his hands, golden orbs rained down as he flew rapidly, carpet-bombing the Tyranid swarms below.

How terrifying is a flying, 65-meter tall Custodian with overwhelming firepower, capable of blanket bombardment?

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The terrifying explosions shook all of Baal; the ground trembled.

With supersonic flight, in moments, swarms within hundreds of miles were blasted sky-high. The destructive power even surpassed the female Primarch's ice and the giant Dreadnought's firepower.

It was like an orbital strike cruiser landing on the surface and bombing the Tyranids at crazy speed.

But everyone knows strike cruisers can't land; they just send down transports or Exterminatus.

With such firepower, the Tyranids on the ground stood no chance—they were sent straight to the Great Devourer!

The Custodians can fly! And bomb like aircraft.

I'm not even surprised anymore!

Even if a 50-meter-tall Emperor suddenly appeared, Dante felt he could accept it.

Elsewhere, a pitch-black mechanical behemoth dropped from the sky. Its design was something the Blood Angels could relate to—it resembled an Imperial Warmaster Titan, though its color and structure were unique.

It was man-made, with two massive shoulder cannons, very much like a Warmaster Titan.

This was the peerless Iron God, Inpelaizer. Inpelaizer wasn't suited to space combat, so Rhodes deployed it to the ground to fight Tyranids.

Rhodes never underestimated the Tyranids—the more Titans, the better—and in a war of attrition, nothing could match Inpelaizer.

Now there were four terrifying Titans or constructs on the field—three living, one mechanical.

"Is that a new type of Imperial Titan?" Dante said, watching Inpelaizer.

"This is my first time seeing it too—it must be Lord Rhodes' work. He found an ancient human space carrier with advanced weapons.

This giant mechanical Titan is probably a Golden Age human war Titan," the Ultramarines Captain replied.

Everyone knew that current Imperial Titans were construction models, but this black Titan was pure war.

Inpelaizer did something even more shocking—instantly teleporting into the midst of a Tyranid swarm hundreds of kilometers away, then spinning at high speed.

As it spun, it unleashed a 360-degree barrage, blasting the surrounding Tyranids with no dead angles.

"This is a combat-type Titan. Regular Imperial Titans wouldn't stand a chance against it!" Dante said.

It spun like a top! How could something 60 meters tall move so fast?

A 60-meter giant spinning and firing like crazy!

Does physics even exist anymore?

"Chapter Master Dante, don't be surprised! Soon, an Avatar of the Emperor will descend," the Ultramarines Captain smiled.

This is just the beginning, Chapter Master—there's still an Emperor's Avatar to come!

"Avatar of the Emperor? What does that mean?" A question mark popped up over Dante's head.

A tall, golden figure descended from the sky—a mighty man clad in dazzling golden armor, wielding a massive sword.

His golden armor and greatsword radiated sunlight-like brilliance.

"By the Emperor!" Dante staggered back, caught by two Blood Angels behind him.

"Chapter Master! Are you all right?"

"That's just an Avatar of the Emperor—not the Emperor himself," the Ultramarines Captain quickly explained.

"I'm fine, just a little dizzy… Let me rest a minute." Dante's chest heaved violently.

Both his superhuman hearts were thundering—if he only had one, it probably wouldn't keep up.

Now a giant Emperor has appeared. Will our great genetic father Sanguinius be resurrected next?

Why am I not surprised at all?

Again, golden light flashed in the sky—a three-meter-tall angel in golden armor, with huge white wings, appeared on the battlefield.

Dante felt his mind explode!

Am I awakening psychic powers? Am I seeing the future?

Say the Emperor appears, he appears. Say the genetic father resurrects, and now an archangel appears.

"Lord Sanguinius… is that you?" Dante muttered.

"That's not the great genetic father, that's Saint Sanguinor —he's here to help us," a Blood Angel quickly clarified.

Is the Chapter Master having a breakdown?

"Oh, it's Sanguinor," Dante breathed a sigh of relief.
