Chapter 247 - Warhammer: Lord of the Endless Monster Horde [247]

Is this the monster we just struggled so hard to fight?

The transformed Custodian Ultraman kicked over a 20-meter Tyranid Red King, swept his power halberd, and instantly sliced two giant Tyranid titans in half.

Then began a massacre—like an adult beating up twenty toddlers.

The monsters couldn't harm the giant Custodian at all—he cut them down like vegetables!

In just seconds, all twenty titans that plagued the Blood Angels were chopped to bits. Because the Custodian had been modified by Rhodes, the kills also earned system gold.

"This...this is a Custodian? Do Custodians have powers like this?" Dante asked the Ultramarine captain, his face stiff.

Are you kidding me? I know Custodians are strong, but this is absurd!

Their most powerful psyker, Mephiston, was among the best in the Imperium, able to control an entire hive city with a glance, but none of his attacks worked on these monsters. The only way to kill them was with overwhelming force.

These monsters could tear apart Imperial Titans, their chitin armor could withstand Titan guns. The Blood Angels lost dozens of brothers and two entire companies just to kill one.

In days of fighting, they'd only killed four.

Only Mephiston could handle them one-on-one, and even he was exhausted after dealing with the brain bugs.

But now, these monsters were killed like children by a single Custodian—what a gap!

"Impossible! Even for Custodians, this is too much," a Blood Angel captain shouted, shocked.

What the hell is this? The enemies we struggled to kill are being wiped out effortlessly by our allies. The gap was unbearable.

"This Custodian was modified by Primarch Rhodes and blessed by the Emperor. He can transform into a giant. Not just him—Primarch Guilliman can also fight as a giant now. We have an old veteran who can transform too," the captain smiled.

According to Guilliman, giant-sized warriors would be normal in the future. If they could accept Titans, why not Titan-sized Custodians?

Then, a colossal blue Dreadnought appeared, standing 55 meters tall—other 3.5-meter Dreads looked like ants beside it.

"Come out and play, bugs! Come on!"

DA-DA-DA! BOOM BOOM BOOM!

Its cannons roared, blasting swathes of Tyranids to pieces, clearing kilometers in seconds.

Its firepower was even stronger than an Emperor Titan. The Dreadnought laughed maniacally as it charged into the swarm, crushing bugs like ants.

When did the Ultramarines build a Dreadnought Titan this big? It was so agile and powerful—a Titan-class Dreadnought? No, this wasn't a Dreadnought—this was Dreadnought Armor?

You call that a Dreadnought? Then what were the old Dreads we lost—children's toys?

And it even seemed to transform out of nowhere!

Come on!

A Custodian turning huge is one thing, but a normal veteran turning into a giant Dreadnought Titan?

The Blood Angels couldn't handle this anymore. This was no longer just demoralizing.

It was like you were fighting in rags with a stick, and your ally showed up in full power armor with a power sword and bolter.

"That's one of our Ultramarine veterans. He fights a bit roughly. He also received blessings from the Emperor and Lord Rhodes and can fight as a giant," the captain said, awkwardly wiping his brow.

Honestly, if his homeworld Macragge was under attack and suddenly a bunch of Blood Angels came with such monsters, he wouldn't be able to handle it either.

"So, that thing is piloted by one person? A single pilot can control a giant Dreadnought Titan?" Dante asked, voice trembling.

Have I fallen behind the times? Have I been out of touch too long? Has Imperial technology advanced this much?

A Blood Angel stared, open-mouthed, at the blue giant Dreadnought and the golden giant elsewhere, then slapped himself.

I must be dreaming! Baal was never attacked by the Tyranids!

But the pain and fatigue told him he was awake—he was really on the battlefield.

"Chapter Master Dante, calm down—you can think of it like that," the captain said, hurrying to support the shaking old man.

If I'd known, I wouldn't have taken this job. I'd rather be fighting bugs myself.

"Tell me—are we still in the Milky Way? Are you really the Imperium's army?" Dante asked, stiffly.

He was trembling, nearly burned out. Even after 1,500 years, his mind was at its limits.

"Relax, we're the Imperium's army, you're still in the Milky Way, and you're not dreaming. I know this is hard to accept, but... it's all real. As Lord Rhodes often says, the times have changed," the captain said, steadying Dante.

For the first time, the Tyranids seemed a bit weak!

Then a new figure appeared on the battlefield—a 47-meter-tall woman in pink power armor. She radiated terrifying cold, and with a wave of her hand, froze all Tyranids within dozens of kilometers into ice sculptures.

She raised her hands, sending a blizzard across the battlefield, shocking the Blood Angels again.

The moment she appeared, all the Battle Sisters went wild, shouting and laughing maniacally as they charged, swinging power swords.

"Long live Lady Elena!"

"The Gene-Mother watches over us!"

"Fight! Fight!" The crazy women were crazier than ever.

Imagine a horde of 2-meter-tall women, laughing wildly as they hacked at you with power swords.

"The Gene-Mother's winter aids us in battle!"

"Sisters! March through the snow!"

"Destroy the Tyranids!"

"Ice blood flows within us!"

"The cold is our ally!"

"For the Emperor! For the Gene-Mother!"

Because they used Elena's gene-seed, the Battle Sisters had terrifying cold resistance and could even wield ice powers.

Blue light glowed from them, and beams of blue froze the bugs, and then they shattered them with power swords. Elena's Battle Sisters called themselves the Winter Queen's Order.

A fierce wind swept across, chilling even the Blood Angels, and the captain hurried to steady Dante.

"I'm fine, I don't need support. I may be old, but I can still stand. So—that's the female Primarch you mentioned?" Dante asked, taking deep breaths.
