It was finally closing hour, and the air in Anastasia's department felt lighter, filled with joy and loud laughter.
"You're not going anywhere with that car of yours tonight," Sandra said with a sly grin as she slung her purse over her shoulder.
Anastasia turned to her, puzzled. "Why not?"
Sandra chuckled, wrapping her arm around Anastasia's. "Because you're riding with us in the company vehicle.
You can come for your car tomorrow. Tonight, you're celebrating like a queen."
Anastasia gave a soft smile and nodded, though her heart wasn't fully in it.
They stepped out of the building, and just as Daniel promised, the luxurious company bus was already parked by the curb. Its sleek black body gleamed under the setting sun, making it hard to miss.
Everyone filed in with excitement. George danced his way into the bus, making everyone laugh.
