Casper and Solvane engaged in a deep flurry of blows, their bodies apported all over the ship, their clashes were followed by sparks of fire and gusts of wind.
The sheer pressure they exuded damaged the hull of the ship, Casper slowly adapted to her movements, his own mind started discerning her once blurry figure.
But no matter how clear her figure became, Casper's body couldn't keep up with the feedback he received from his mind. Yet Casper didn't hold back, no he strained his body even further, hoping to land a hit.
A moment later, Solvane attacked once again, her beautiful face was cold and indifferent like a wooden mask. Casper gritted his teeth and moved to meet her, their blades clashed once again as a howling sound resounded in the air.
But just like before, his body was shaken from the force of the impact. Only now, he managed to intercept the strike a few moments faster. Casper could only attribute his growing senses to his attribute, if it wasn't for it helping him he would've long since fallen behind.
His strikes were measured and precise, but were capable of an explosive counter attack. It allowed him to restrain Solvane from fully unleashing her wrath, as a small slip in her attack would allow him to completely reverse the situation, which kept her in check.
Casper sucked a cold breath in as his lungs started hyperventilating to increase his amount of oxygen, his axe clanged against her rapier, this repetition produced a beautiful dance.
Casper relaxed slightly as his tense body gradually lost its caution. His body burned from the inside as he struggled to respond to her ever increasing power.
Casper and Solvane's dance went on for a while, he didn't know when it started but in the middle of the fight. His vision expanded, not just allowing him to have a wider view of the field but it allowed him to witness the inner workings of his body.
Casper could see the flow of blood, her breathing, the muscle contraction and her joint movement. He could see it all! Casper laughed wildly as he saw this, bit by bit he was catching up to her.
His body ached and roared at him to rest, thousands of tiny wounds littered his body. He felt that hours had passed since their battle started, each blow made his body reel back slightly as the wounds kept piling up. Casper wanted to rest, he was tired, the constant fighting made him drowsy and lethargic.
But his sluggishness was exploited by Solvane as her rapier skidded past his axe and delivered a ruthless strike to his shoulder. His arm recoiled back as he was forced to take a step back.
But he was quickly able to rein in the tempo as he didn't let off any ground, the wound on his shoulder had drilled past his bone, leaving a circular laceration. Without being able to grip his axe, Casper's power dropped significantly.
His attacks grew weaker as his blocks started faltering. Solvane suddenly changed her behaviour, she had sensed the shift in dynamic between the two, or perhaps it was because her powers started running dry from their persistent deadlock.
Regardless she abandoned her cold and calculated style and instead descended upon him in a rain of deadly blows. But this came at a cost, her defense crumbled and left her open to counters, only if Casper was able to exploit it.
Casper was caught by surprise as he struggled to offer blocks to her deadly barrage, his iron axe was thrown by a vile blow. As the silver rapier slid across it and inched centimetres away from Solvane's throat.
It would've taken off his head if it wasn't for the violent roar spreading across the battlefield. The clouds which sparkled with lightning seemed to outline a giant serpent.
The finger slithered around the battlefield as it turned and twisted, its violent screams brought horrors to the hearts of all combatants. In an instant it burst out of the shady clouds as it revealed its form.
Casper knew it, he was the same serpent that he had fought before. Despite his attacks, the serpent managed to shoulder it all and only retreated after Casper figured out its weak spot.
But this time, it seemed to have come back for revenge. He didn't know how long the Leviathan was following him, but it somehow managed to track him till the battlefield with some upgrades.
Previously it had one stormy grey eye and a clear sea blue one but now both those eyes were replaced, and sported pitch black eyes. This new upgrade seemed to significantly increase its power, as Casper didn't remember it being able to fly and manipulate the fucking weather.
"What the fuck man!" Casper yelled out at the sky, Solvane raised her eyebrow as she heard him, "Do you know him?"
Casper nodded, "It attacked my fleet while we were sailing here, I only managed to scare it off when I discovered its weak spot. All the other attacks I delivered were rendered useless from his tough scales.
"The only attacks that actually wounded him were the ones I gave him at his scarred area. Because of him I suffered too many casualties! Before I felt it was probably a Fallen or Corrupted Titan but now it's definitely a Corrupted Titan or worse a Great Beast"
Casper whispered with a hint of fear, Solvane heard his words and turned to face the rampaging giant. His figure tore through the water as it blew away the army.
She thought for a bit before turning to Casper, "We can't continue our fight like this, no matter what whoever wins would be exhausted and would be taken out by that Leviathan.
"I also feel that if we don't cooperate and work together we would never be able to bring it down. So I suggest a truce between us, until we bring that creature down."
Casper thought for a bit before he quickly agreed, before the abomination evolved Casper was barely able to scare it away and now he didn't know if he could take it down.
So teaming up with Solvane was the natural thing to do, but he was still a bit wary of her. He didn't know if she would betray him at a crucial moment, and take his life while also bringing down the creature.
Solvane's thoughts were naturally the same, they both turned to their respective army, "Instead of fighting the Followers of War, we are going to focus our attack on the giant fucking lizard in the sky that could probably one shot us. We have a truce with them so chill and team up with each other.
"Remember, Lizard equals Mom's slipper which is bad, so the Lizard is bad. On the other hand, Followers of War equals Water and water is good, so Followers of War are good. Understand!"
Solvane looked a bit confused after hearing his words before she repeated the same speech to her own army, but more refined.
