Rosa was very excited.

Evan really knew how to make Rare Candy.

This was a skill she had always wanted to master.

It was also her mother's wish.

Thinking of this, Rosa looked at Evan seriously and said,

"I'll ask someone to bring the leaves over. Can you do it?"

"There are still three leaves from the Tree of Beginning."

"When it's made, just give me a few."

She said this with great determination.

In addition to wanting to see Rare Candy, she also wanted to help her parents' Pokémon break through their current limits.

She was well aware of the effects of these special candies.

They allowed Pokémon to surpass their strength limitations unconditionally—something many trainers could only dream of.

Although most people had never heard of them, those who had knew the recipe but lacked the knowledge to create them.

Of course, the most crucial ingredient was the leaves of the Tree of Beginning.

These leaves weren't something money could simply buy.

Now that Rosa claimed to have them, if breeders and collectors found out, they would go to any lengths to acquire them.

She could even exchange them for valuable benefits.

But Rosa had no such intention.

Right now, her only focus was turning those Tree of Beginning leaves into Rare Candy.

Evan looked at Rosa's serious expression.

After a brief moment of surprise, he asked,

"Are you sure?"

"Do you know how precious those leaves are?"

"And you really believe I can succeed?"

"If it fails..."

The loss would be devastating.

Selling them directly would bring in a fortune, but using them carried a risk of failure.

Rosa rolled her eyes at Evan.

"I'm not afraid, so why are you?"

"And if even a master breeder like you can't do it, then there's nothing more to say."

"That would mean Rare Candy is just a myth."

"It doesn't exist at all."

"And I'm not short on money. If I fail, I fail."

"If I fail, I'll give up completely."

Hearing Rosa's words, Evan stared at her for a long moment before finally speaking.

"Then bring the leaves of the Tree of Beginning."

"One leaf can make five candies."

"Just be sure of what you're doing."

"Also, it's best to bring the other necessary materials."

"That way, I won't have to gather them myself."

Seeing how determined she was, Evan had no reason to hesitate.

She, the owner of the leaves, wasn't afraid—so why should he be?

When Rosa saw Evan agree, her eyes sparkled with excitement.

"Great!"

"I'll go back and get them myself."

With that, Rosa prepared to leave.

Seeing her eagerness, Evan quickly spoke up.

"Wait a minute. Are you planning to return to Thunder Island directly from here?"

"By car?"

"You don't even have a travel Pokémon. Do you really plan to take a car?"

"A round trip would take at least two days."

Rosa nodded.

"Yes."

"If not, what else?"

She replied naturally, as if it were the most obvious choice.

Evan rolled his eyes.

"I'll lend you Dragonite."

"Follow me."

With that, Evan walked outside.

Hearing that Evan was lending her Dragonite, Rosa's eyes brightened.

"Thanks."

"This way, I can make it back by the afternoon."

With Dragonite, the trip would be quick and effortless.

Evan headed to the backyard, where Dragonite was chatting and laughing with Goodra.

Casting a glance at the Pokémon, Evan spoke directly,

"Dragonite."

"Take Rosa to Thunder Island."

"She needs to pick something up and come right back."

Dragonite frowned upon hearing this.

It was reluctant.

Didn't Evan see that it was in the middle of handling its own personal matters?

However, noticing Goodra nearby, Dragonite glanced at Rosa.

Fine. It had to go.

After all, Rosa was Goodra's trainer.

At that moment, Dragonite made a firm decision.

"Wooh!!"

Dragonite stood up and waved toward Rosa, motioning for her to climb on.

Seeing this, Rosa was about to hop on but hesitated for a moment.

"I'm going to change clothes," she said.

Wearing a skirt while riding a Dragonite? That wouldn't work.

"Da-da!"

She quickly turned around and ran back to the breeding room, heading upstairs to change.

Now, Rosa lived with Evan.

Of course, not in the way one might imagine.

After changing into more suitable clothes, she hurried back downstairs and climbed onto Dragonite's back.

"Goodra, Luxray, behave while I'm gone."

"I'll be back soon."

After saying this, she signaled Dragonite to take off.

Dragonite didn't hesitate. With a powerful beat of its wings, it soared into the sky, heading straight toward Thunder Island.

Evan didn't dwell on it. Instead, he returned to the house and continued working on energy cubes.

He had been busy all day.

By now, he had produced half the energy cubes needed for Violet.

Rosa left quickly and returned just as fast.

She retrieved what she needed from home and immediately took off on Dragonite again, wasting no time at Thunder Island.

Back on Thunder Island, where Rosa had once lived, a certain arrogant cat took notice.

Zeraora was quite pleased to see Dragonite return.

But within minutes, Dragonite left again.

This left Zeraora feeling rather dejected.

What was that about?

You come back but don't even say hello to your best friend?

Zeraora frowned.

Watching Dragonite disappear into the distance, it looked around, feeling a little bored.

Dragonite was gone. The Pokémon it played with were also gone.

After a moment of thought, Zeraora's body crackled with sparks before vanishing in a flash of electricity.

It had decided to follow.

What was so important that Dragonite had to leave so quickly?

Had Dragonite been tricked by someone?

Perhaps even Dragonite itself didn't realize that its best friend was secretly tailing it.

But Zeraora had a long way to go to catch up.

It was incredibly fast, able to overcome gravity and use Agility in the air.

But no matter how quick it was, could it really outpace Dragonite?

If not for worrying that Rosa might fall, Dragonite would have been flying at full speed, eager to return home and continue playing with Goodra.

Even at this speed, though, it would take some time for Zeraora to catch up.

Going back and forth, Rosa had spent quite a bit of time traveling.

By the time she returned to Evan, the sky had already darkened.

Coincidentally, Evan was just about to head to the orphanage for dinner with the children when Dragonite descended from the sky.

Rosa's hair was a complete mess.

As soon as Dragonite landed, she jumped off its back—almost stumbling straight onto the ground.

Even Evan found it challenging to sit steadily on Dragonite, let alone Rosa.

She climbed down, her legs wobbling unsteadily.

Her entire lower body had gone numb.

Her walking posture now looked… rather strange.
