After dinner, Rhysand walked to the balcony and took out his phone to answer a call. As soon as he picked up, he heard Collins's dramatic voice on the other end.
"Brother Golden! I went to the Blue Mountain Club to check it out! Oh my gosh, Hailey secretly ordered a super fancy buffet feast that cost over a million! She's totally trying to trap Ariel, sister-in-law!"
Rhysand's face stayed calm. He had asked Collins to check what kind of guests Ariel invited, but he didn't expect to hear that kind of news.
"Brother Golden, the person who took the order got bribed by Hailey. They're teaming up on purpose to set sister-in-law up! She only got a bonus of two hundred thousand, right? She probably won't be able to pay the bill. Do you wanna help her out? I mean, a million is just a normal dinner bill for you in Peak City..."
"No." Rhysand cut him off coldly. "Ariel is already starting to wonder where my money comes from. I don't want her to get even more suspicious."
