Its application in clinical trials, though preliminary, showed that it could enhance existing remedies. The tests, conducted on a small number of patients, revealed a spectrum of outcomes.
Curiously, no one had died during these trials. Still, the document listed ominous side effects: some patients developed signs of addiction, others suffered from severe internal bleeding, and the most harrowing outcome was a descent into madness. I could not help but let out a soft, ironic chuckle. Even here, amongst all our advancements, there existed no panacea for every affliction.
