Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: The Feast of False Heavens

The World Begins to Break

From the moment Mo Tian consumed the First Sin Lotus, the realms began to fracture.

One sect found its core formation manuals blank overnight.

A powerful Immortal Emperor lost all memory of cultivation.

A blood moon rose in the east, visible even in the day.

And worst of all… the Heavenly Dao became silent.

No omens.

No visions.

No judgment.

Heaven was watching—but it no longer dared to speak.

---

New Mission: Hunt the Seeds

Atop the collapsed tower of the Immortal Abyss, Mo Tian sat cross-legged. Void energy swirled around him, spiraling into the sky.

Before him floated a list — written not in ink, but in screams. The echoes of devoured karma had carved the names of four other Devourer Seeds into his soul.

Each one, like him, bore a piece of the Primordial Hunger.

Each one, like him, had been chosen by the Devouring Dao before time began.

But only one of them would inherit the true throne of nothingness.

> "I will devour them all."

---

The First Seed: The Singer of Silent Worlds

Mo Tian's first target: Zhen Lu'er — a blind musician from the Realm of Fractured Music. Her Dao? Echo Devouring.

She fed on silence.

She didn't kill with weapons. She sang, and her song erased the names of things.

Mountains would forget they were mountains. Fire would forget how to burn. Souls would forget they ever lived.

To fight her, one had to remember oneself perfectly — or vanish.

Shi Yue, ever silent since the confrontation with Zhao Xian'er, stood beside him.

> "She lives within a shrine guarded by tones that eat memory. Once you enter, you may not even remember your own Dao."

> "Good," Mo Tian replied. "I've already begun to forget who I was. Now I'll forget who she was too."

---

Shrine of the Forgotten Choir

They arrived in a land where the wind had no sound.

No birds. No footsteps. No breathing. Even thoughts became muffled.

As they approached the shrine — an inverted palace carved into silence itself — they saw thousands of cultivators kneeling, unmoving.

They weren't dead.

They had simply forgotten they were alive.

Zhen Lu'er sat at the center, plucking her instrument.

Each note rewrote the laws of the world.

> "What name do you bring into my domain?" she asked without turning.

Mo Tian said nothing. Words were meaningless here.

He walked forward. Each step crushed a part of reality underfoot.

> "You do not belong here," she whispered. "You are not made of silence. You are made of hunger."

> "Then feed me," Mo Tian growled.

---

The Battle of Forgotten Sound

Zhen Lu'er's fingers danced.

The sky cracked.

Mo Tian's arms vanished—his body forgot it existed.

Then his legs. Then his senses. His thoughts.

For a moment, he became nothing.

But in that nothingness—his Dao burned.

Devouring.

Not sound. Not energy. But forgetfulness itself.

> I do not need to remember myself… when I am becoming something new.

> I do not need an identity… when I am the one who devours identities.

> I do not need a name… because I will erase all names.

Suddenly, the silence screamed.

Zhen Lu'er's strings snapped.

> "W-what are you?!"

> "Your last listener," Mo Tian whispered, "and your last silence."

And he devoured her entire Dao.

---

A New Voice Within

But as she vanished, she left something behind.

A song. Low. Endless.

It took root in Mo Tian's soul. Not resistance—but addition.

He now held two aspects:

Void Devouring

Echo Devouring

He looked at his hand.

When he snapped his fingers—names of things began to fade.

He snapped again. A mountain nearby crumbled—not physically, but conceptually.

> "One Seed down," he said.

Shi Yue stepped forward, finally speaking.

> "You're becoming more than a cultivator."

> "I'm becoming a myth."

---

The Remaining Seeds React

Elsewhere, the other Seeds stirred.

In a dark ocean, a child born of storms laughed — "Let him come."

In a desert where time moved backward, a veiled woman shed her seventh skin — "So one of us has fallen…"

In a distant realm, a man with a candle for a face whispered, "We were never meant to meet. But if we do, the world ends."

The Seed War had begun.

And Mo Tian had already taken the first bite.
