Chapter 6
Sigh, did he have to shout that loud? I asked myself as I rubbed my ears. As I did so, the loud sound of people running came from upstairs, and well, would you look at that, four more kids ran downstairs, each still in their sleepwear: a girl, two twins, and an older boy who looked about ten.
From what I could guess, the girl was Ginny, the boy who screamed at me was Ron, the famous twins must be Fred and George, and as for the ten-year-old boy, he seemed to be Percy.
The other two who were missing must be at Hogwarts.
"Wicked, who are you?" the twins said together as though reading each other's minds.
"And how did you get your eyes like that? Is there a spell for that?" one of the twins added as they looked at me. As for which one was which, I had no idea.
I scribbled in the notepad with my quill:
{My name is Nihilo R. Echoes. Magic experiments by a dark wizard. And no, I don't think so.}
I wrote it down and showed it to them.
Ron took a few steps back, and as for Ginny, she just hid behind Percy as they read it. However, the twins gave me a pitying look for a second, one that vanished the next moment.
"What are you doing in our house?" Percy asked, finally opening his mouth.
{Old Dumble brought me here,} I wrote in response.
"Is Dumbledore here?" Ron asked, suddenly forgetting his fear of me for some reason.
{Outside, talking to your mum,} I wrote down.
Everyone rushed to the window/door windoor??? I don't know what it's called—they went to it and peered out. I followed them. However, by the time I reached it, I only saw the old mind-rapist vanish using that phoenix-fire teleportation.
"Ron Weasley, is that any way to call someone when you first meet them?" Molly chided him. She had most likely heard his scream while talking to Dumble.
"I am sorry for what he said, dear. Ron, apologize to him," she said to me, while giving Ron a look.
"S-sorry," he said to me. However, his mutter under his breath "but his eyes do look creepy" didn't go unnoticed by me or the twins.
The twins looked like they had decided on something with just one look.
"Now then, Nihilo dear, these are my children: Ron, Ginny, Fred, and George, and this is Percy. There are two more, Bill and Charlie; however, they're both in Hogwarts right now," she said as she introduced each one of them.
While she was doing that, I noted down which one was Fred and which one was George. All I had to do was remember their aura or magic signature in order to tell who was who.
"Now then, it is quite cold outside, so we should all go in and eat something. Your father should be here in some time, kids," she said as she hurried us in.
As though he had been waiting just for his cue, a pop sounded right outside and a man appeared.
By the time he came inside from the windoor, we had all settled ourselves at the dining table. As he came in, he took off his tophat and coat that he was wearing and sat down himself.
"Good morning, kids. Good morning, Molly dear," he said.
"Ah, and you are?" he asked as he noticed me.
I scribbled down my name and showed it to him.
"Ohh, you're the kid Professor Dumbledore was talking about, eh?" he said, a small smile on his face. "Welcome then, Nihilo."
He said this just as Molly started to put some food on the table. It included bacon, sausages, eggs, mushrooms, orange juice for the kids, and tea for Arthur.
The breakfast was quite eventful in my opinion. There were many topics of discussion that Arthur or the twins started. They took occasional jabs at Ron from time to time. Percy joined in every now and then, and as for Ginny, she remained silent. I didn't know the reason—maybe she was shy, or maybe there was some other reason. I didn't really care.
After breakfast, Molly reminded everyone not to bother me and gave a few other instructions. Then she handed me a towel and said, "You should go and get a shower. It would make you more relaxed. You can stay in Ron's room for now. As for clothes, I'll see if any of the twins' clothes fit you or not."
As she said that, she brought me to the bathroom on the second floor—or first floor, whichever way you want to call it.
Did she indirectly say that I stank? I asked myself as I smelled myself. However, I would say it was manageable… I think. Though I didn't really know—after all, it wasn't that bad. Nightmare beast guts smelled much, much worse.
As I got into the shower and turned it on, the hot water hit me—and it was something out of this world. It was heavenly. Goddamn, I felt like my body was melting into the water cascading over me. I grabbed the bar of soap after I had relaxed a little and scrubbed myself from head to toe.
When I was done, I wrapped the towel around my waist to cover the important bits and walked out. As I did, I found Ginny on the stairs. I passed her, but just as I did, I heard a gasp behind me. I looked back—only to see Ginny looking a bit horrified as her eyes followed my back.
Oh right. I had forgotten about that.
There should be a tattoo on my back. It came with being an Eldritch. Wherever I took over a body, a tattoo representing me would appear on my back—a signature of sorts. Although I had yet to figure out how or why it appeared.
The look on her face kept shifting to more and more horrified—after all, it's not every day you see an Eldritch tattoo that looks like a nightmare come alive and moves. Yes, it moved as it pleased.
{Author's note: I forgot to add this in the last chapters, but there are reference pictures on my Patreon. Most of them are free, and some come with the chapters. Anyhow, if you wish to see how our Eldritch looks or how the tattoo appears, you can always pop in there and find out.}
The tattoo shows a large, golden, dragon-like eye surrounded by arcane symbols and geometric shapes. Golden shards radiate outward like sun rays, while black tentacle-like shapes extend downward, giving it an eerie, otherworldly look.
The eye kept moving, looking around, and the tentacles were writhing about. It must've been quite horrifying to look at.

She took a step back and then ran off, crying her eyes out. I had heard her start to cry the moment she saw my tattoo move. I was quite baffled, honestly, by the fact that the people at the hospital hadn't discovered it. Then again, they never took my clothes off, and this tattoo didn't emit any magic they could recognize.
Soon, Molly came running when she heard Ginny crying. As soon as she saw me, she gasped, her hands flying to her mouth in horror.
"D-dear, are you ok? Does it hurt your back?" she asked, kneeling and examining it.
I just gave a shake of my head.
"I'll write a letter to Professor Dumbledore and see if he can come by and check your back."
While she was examining me, the eye on my back was looking at all five kids in the background who were peeking around the corner.
"That's so creepy," Ron said.
"Wicked, I wonder if we can make something like that when we go to Hogwarts," the twins said. Why the fuck they kept saying the same thing at the same time was beyond me.
Ginny was still sniffling behind the twins, but even she was watching. I bet it scared her quite a lot when she saw the eldritch tattoo move. As for Percy, he just looked like he wanted to run; his face had gone quite pale when the eye on my back stared directly at him.
After Molly was done inspecting the tattoo on my back, she gave me some old clothes from the twins to wear, which, surprisingly, fit perfectly, and sent everyone outside to play. She must have wanted to write to old Dumble and tell him about it.
It was a bit of a headache to imagine letting him inspect the tattoo again, but it wasn't something I could hide forever. After all, it would come out one way or another. Might as well get it over with, in my opinion
When everyone was outside, I noticed that Percy, Ron, and Ginny had decided to keep a five-step distance from me. As for the twins, they had their arms around my shoulders.
"That was quite a sight," Fred said, and George nodded his head.
"Do you mind if we make a copy of that wicked tattoo of yours? You see, we wanted to see if we can get it to move before the start of Hogwarts."
I just nodded my head. After all, in my opinion, it would be nice to see the symbols of my existence spreading throughout the wizarding world, and who knows, it might even earn me some profit. However, I didn't really care for it that much.
As we moved to one end of the clearing, we found a girl with blond hair and blue eyes waiting for us. She had a dreamy look to her, and as though she had seen through my very existence, she smiled and said,
"The shards reflect the shine from your eyes. I love the way they shimmer."
