Chapter 33 - 31. Dangerous Agreement (Epilogue)

After visiting their grandmother and spending the day by her side, Lukas and Alana went for a walk to get some fresh air. It turned out everyone truly recognized her as Alana. No one asked about Sandra.

Did that mean Alana had truly taken her place Not only her soul but her body too She and Lukas were still unsure if they had really escaped the demon. Everything had happened so suddenly. The terrible fate had somehow passed them by.

Under the dusky sky, Lukas and Alana strolled along the banks of the Singapore River. The city lights shimmered across the water, painting the river in vibrant colors and creating an unforgettable romantic atmosphere. They walked lightly, smiling at each other, savoring the beautiful moment in this metropolitan city.

Lukas gently reached for Alana's hand. They fell into a peaceful silence, the sound of their footsteps forming a melody beneath the city sky.

Around them, trees lining the riverbank added a touch of nature to the glow of the urban lights. A soft evening breeze brushed gently against their skin, adding warmth to the moment.

Singapore, with its majestic modern architecture, was the perfect backdrop for this couple. They decided to visit the Helix Bridge, a unique spiral shaped bridge.

At the center of the bridge, they paused to enjoy the spectacular view of the city skyline. The city lights illuminated their faces, casting romantic silhouettes under the starry night sky.

"Lukas, do you also feel like everything we went through was just a dream"

"We should treat it as a nightmare we must forget," Lukas replied, wrapping his arm around her waist.

"Do you regret going through all this again"

"I do not regret it, but I wish it had never happened. I cannot bear seeing you in danger again. Seeing you in a coma, helpless like that. I would not survive going through it again."

Alana looked down, seeing the sadness on her husband's face. She could not even remember why she had fallen into a coma. Let alone what Lukas had endured during that time.

"You cannot change fate by fixing the past. Why Because the past is already gone. We cannot alter what has already happened. It is the future that must be reshaped to change fate itself." Lukas looked ahead with a melancholic smile.

"Was I foolish to trust Thomas That evil demon" Alana whispered.

"You were not foolish. Thank you for worrying about me that much." Lukas hugged her. "But know this. It would hurt me more to live if it meant your sacrifice."

"I love you so much." Alana wrapped her arms around him.

"I love you too, Alana." Lukas kissed her forehead and held her close as they admired the nighttime view. He deeply regretted not meeting her sooner. Why could they not have met under normal circumstances, with their real identities, without all the drama

But then again, no one ever truly knows their fate.

Fate is like poetry written by the sky, words etched upon stars and clouds. It gives meaning to each sentence, forming an endless story. In its beauty, fate is a tireless guide, leading us to understanding and enlightenment about the meaning of life.

"Lukas…"

"Hmm"

"What about Kayla and Arhan Will they be forgotten too, like Sandra"

"I did some digging out of the same curiosity. But their company name no longer exists. Everyone who died in that incident seems to have been forgotten."

"I cannot imagine if you…"

"Shhh, do not think about it anymore. Everything has followed its course. Let us forget the past and focus on our future, one that holds only us and happiness." Lukas cupped Alana's face and kissed her softly, savoring the sweetness of her lips.

In the middle of their tender moment, they noticed a faint galaxy like light reflected in the river. The light showed a version of themselves wearing prince and princess attire.

Just like Lukas and Sandra before, the prince and princess stood romantically on an old wooden bridge. While today's bridge sparkled with electric lights, that ancient bridge glowed with lanterns and floating candles. Both were beautiful in their own way.

"Lukas, do you see that"

"So that is the dream you had Ahhh, I really am that handsome No matter the era, I stay handsome," he said with sparkling eyes.

"Do you always have to be this full of yourself" Alana playfully hit him with a small laugh.

"Maybe thanks to the future you changed, our past selves feel proud. Their pain was healed, their suffering lifted, sorrow turned into joy."

"You are right, Lukas. It is not the past that changes fate, but the future we shape more beautifully."

Lukas and Alana stood mesmerized by the magical scene before them. They felt as though they had been drawn into another time. The reflections of their joyous selves glowed upon the still water.

It was as if time itself transported them into a classic love story. Laughter and whispers of love floated through the air like distant memories.

They were enchanted by the image before them. Their faces lit with happiness, captured like a moment suspended in history. Lukas gently took Alana's hand, and they exchanged a gaze filled with wonder and love.

"Our love story was always meant to be like this. I had no idea it was written in history. Even our ancestors prepared these rings…" Lukas lifted both their hands. "Long before we ever met, our love had already bloomed in another time."

"I love you so much, Alana. Even without seeing your face, I could love you this deeply," Lukas said, pulling her into his embrace, wrapping her in his warm coat.

"I love you too." Alana clung to his arm as he held her close.

As if answering a call from another era, Lukas and Alana smiled at their reflection that glowed with life. The colorful lights of the bridge created a romantic aura, and their reflection added a magical touch to the moment. In silence, they reflected on their journey and felt time embracing their love story.

At that moment, amidst the reflections of love from another time, Lukas and Alana felt connected to the past that had made them stronger. They walked on with the belief that their love would continue to flow through time, leading them to new adventures filled with joy.

"Are you sure you do not want to make this vow again"

"No" Lukas immediately covered Alana's mouth to stop her from making another foolish promise.

"You do not want to meet me again"

"My love, I do not want to go through all that again. Seeing you in danger and not being able to help hurts too much."

"Excuses You just do not want to see me again I bet in another era, you would rather be with Kayla or Sandra, huh" she blurted, hitting him repeatedly.

Alana chased after her husband who ran playfully around the beautiful bridge. Even their reflections as prince and princess mirrored the same playful scene.

A vow is like a red ribbon that never breaks, forming an eternal bond between two hearts. It is a promise sealed by words and etched by time, a pledge carried with courage and integrity. Through life's winding paths, these promises are fragile yet strong, holding meaning that endures until the final breath.

That is the vow that binds Alana and Lukas. Two souls calling for each other. Two souls stitched together by that red thread. No matter how far apart they are, the universe will always find ways to reunite them. No matter how they try to avoid it, they will always be drawn to one another.

Because they are bound by the most dangerous agreement of all.
