Chapter 70 - Chapter 70: Parting Ways — Riku’s Wedding

"You want me to train you?" Lynx looked down at Goku, his tone relaxed and composed.

"Yeah! Big Bro, you're super strong! I wanna learn from you!" Goku replied, face unusually serious.

"Alright," Lynx nodded, then smirked. "If you can touch me, I'll train you."

"Deal!"

Goku nodded vigorously, taking a stance as if ready to go all out.

But just then, his stomach growled loudly.

Scratching his head, he looked embarrassed.

"Uhh… I'm starving. Big Bro, can I go find some food first?"

"No need." Lynx casually tossed him a small bean.

"Eat this."

"What is it?" Goku asked, curiously chewing on it. His eyes widened in shock.

"Whoa!! I'm full! And my energy's back! What is this?!"

"That's a Senzu Bean. One's enough to fill your belly and restore your strength."

"That's amazing! Lynx-niisan, do you have more? Can I have some?"

"If you manage to touch me, I'll give you more."

"Okay then! Here I come!!"

Goku got into position and charged at Lynx with all his might.

His fighting spirit was impressive, but the gap in power was just too vast. With his current level, he couldn't even graze Lynx.

After playing along for a few minutes, Lynx started to lose interest.

"Alright, my turn. Brace yourself."

"Wait—huh?!"

Before Goku could react, Lynx's tail flicked out—and knocked him out cold.

"Goku!!" Oolong and the others rushed over, slapping his cheeks until he finally woke up, dazed.

"Lynx-niisan, wasn't that a little too harsh?" Bulma asked, frowning.

Lynx shook his head and turned to Goku:

"Now you understand the difference between us? We're too far apart. If I trained you, it might even kill you."

Goku scratched his head. Rather than discouraged, he just looked a little disappointed.

"Aw… I guess you're right."

Seeing that innocent face, Lynx smiled softly. Maybe Goku's purity is exactly why he grows so quickly in the future…

"Goku, do you remember Master Roshi?"

"You mean that old man? Of course! He's the second strongest person I've ever met—after you!"

"Go train with him. He was your Grandpa Gohan's master. Given your current level, he's the best teacher for you. Oh—and by the way, Bulma trained with him too, a while back."

Lynx had already decided not to interfere with Goku's destiny. And truthfully, Master Roshi could teach him a lot about martial arts.

"Really? Awesome! I'll go train with Grandpa Roshi and get stronger!"

"Goku, I'll go with you!" Yamcha suddenly chimed in.

"Yamcha?" Puar looked surprised.

"Puar, I want to get stronger too. After seeing Lynx's power, I realized how naïve I've been. I want to become someone who can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with him!"

(…And at least not lose to Bulma again.) Yamcha added silently.

"Hah! That'll be tough for you," Bulma teased.

"What about you, Oolong?" Puar asked.

"Mmm… I'll pass. Bulma, can I go to the city with you instead? I heard the girls there are super cute…"

"Ugh, you're such a perv… but fine. You can come—just don't make me regret it."

"You could've just said no…"

And so, with everyone deciding their next steps, the group parted ways.

Lynx grabbed Bulma and Oolong and teleported them away instantly.

"That technique is awesome!" Goku muttered, staring at the empty space where they vanished. "I didn't even see how he moved!"

"Yeah," Yamcha nodded in awe. "There really are some unbelievably powerful people out there."

West City

After leaving Goku and the others, Lynx and his group arrived at Bulma's house in West City.

There, he was reunited with the Briefs family—and Tights, whom he hadn't seen in six years.

Tights had grown more mature and womanly, and for a regular Earthling, six years had been a long wait. The moment she saw Lynx, her eyes filled with tears.

Feeling a deep sense of guilt, Lynx embraced her and whispered:

"Tights… We've known each other for so many years now. Will you marry me?"

"Mm…" she nodded, barely audible, but her heart had waited a long time for these words.

"Wha—?!" Bulma stared, stunned. "That was so sudden!"

"Bulma, what are you saying? Tights waited years for this," Mrs. Briefs scolded gently.

But Bulma stomped her foot, puffed her cheeks, and stormed off to her room in a huff.

"Dear, what's wrong with her…?" Tights glanced at her sister's retreating back.

Lynx gently waved it off.

"It's fine. I know what she's feeling."

"But you…"

Tights knew Lynx already had a Saiyan queen, so she wasn't bothered about sharing. But Lynx shook his head.

"No. I only see Bulma as a little sister. One day, she'll meet someone who's right for her."

One Month Later – Lynx and Tights' Wedding

The wedding was held in West City, and it was a grand affair—after all, Lynx was the King of the Saiyans.

Though the ceremony took place on Earth, Planet Vegeta had sent numerous wedding gifts, including rare gems gathered from across the galaxy.

Bardock and others from Lynx's side came as well, including Hanasia, who gave Tights a full rundown of royal Saiyan etiquette.

From Tights' side, many of her friends attended—including Jaco. Unfortunately, Dr. Omori, inventor of the first time machine, had passed away by this time.

The wedding lasted the entire day.

That night, Lynx carried Tights into their newly renovated home—not far from the Briefs family mansion. He had bought it with a fist-sized diamond shortly after proposing.

Once alone, Lynx pulled out a silver flask.

"Tights, drink this."

"Hm? What is it?" She took a sip without hesitation. "Weird taste… wait, it's not poison, is it?" she teased.

"It's Water of Eternal Youth. I got it from Shenron. Just one sip will extend your life by hundreds of years. As a Saiyan, I'll be traveling through space a lot. If you drink this, you won't have to worry about aging."

"I wasn't worried," Tights chuckled bashfully.

But deep down, she was delighted. What woman doesn't dream of staying young forever?

"Tights," Lynx whispered, holding her close, "Let's get some rest…"

The lights in the room slowly dimmed.
