"Mr. Cole, you are under arrest. You have the right to remain silent; anything you say can be used against you in a court of law," the detective recited as he put the cuffs on him. Bryce has retired to bed, and Cooper is not here either. Parker and Gavin are the only ones left.
"What...? What does that mean?" Cole frowned as the detective cuffed him before taking him to their van.
But as they tried to leave, I quickly rushed over to them.
"He didn't do it," I half-yelled, my outburst halting their movement.
Gavin and Parker fixed their gazes on me; their stares were dangerous and full of warnings, but I didn't stop.
