ALFRED's POV
I watched her converse with the man that just walked into the cafe and for some reason I felt really uncomfortable.
Just hundred dollar extra and she's giving in so easily.
Is that a business card? Right! That's it.
I walked angrily to the cafe and interrupted their conversation.
"Excuse me, I think you should leave." I said boldly.
"Alfred?" Brielle said in a rather worried tone.
"And who are you to tell me what to do or not?" The guy asked and crossed his arm on his chest.
"You would know, by the time I beat you up myself." My anger was rising.
"Alfred stop! Just stop it! Sir please don't mind he embarrassment. I'll do well to call you on Friday." Brielle said and he made his way out of the door.
"Look, the both of you and every other customer sitting here. I would not entertain conversations with the staff. Any staff who defaults bin my rule would have themselves fired."
I looked Brielle into her eyes and repeated
"Yes, fired." And I angrily left the cafe.
I went to the group to cool off with the guys and have some fun.
We did some business firstly then started smoking and discussing rivals. At the end of the night, I slept in a room specially for me and that is where I sleep most of the night.
Before I finally passed out, I reminisced on why I over acted in the cafe today.
Do I like Brielle? Was I jealous? Or I just wanted to prove I'm the boss.
*******
BRIELLE's POV
It's Friday night and I'm so ready to rock and roll. I put on my sexy pink dress and did light makeup as usual. I pulled my hair in a messy bun and held it in place with a few hair clips.
I wore my black platform and pulled out the business card from my work bag and called the number there.
In less than a second he answered the call.
"Hello mr Wes." At least that's what I saw on the card.
"Hello, I'm guessing I invited you for the party right?"
"Yes you did, it's the girl front the coffee shop."
"Oh, great. The driver would be there in no time. Text me your location and I'll send you the picture of the car that would pick you up."
"Yay, sounds great."
I texted him my location and started doing some finish touches on my dress and makeup when Alfred walked in.
"Where are you going all dressed?" He asks but I don't reply.
"angel?"
"I have a party to attend." I said, avoiding his face.
"Since when do you go for parties miss?"
"Ever since I realized I'm free to go wherever I want to."
"You're not going anywhere."
"And who the fuck are you to give me such stupid orders?" I screamed angrily.
"Enough shouting young woman. Pull your clothes let's have some fun." He said and brought out a bottle of alcoholic wine.
"Sometimes I wonder how I got attracted to you, you're a mean and unsympathetic young man. You have no emotions and feelings, all you care about is yourself and how to satisfy your pleasure." My voice was breaking and tears rested on my caruncle. I looked up to put back the tears and received a call.
"Hi am I speaking with miss Brielle? This is your driver."
"Alright you'll see me soon."
I grabbed my purse beside Alfred and left the room. I heard him call my name multiple times but I ignored his call and entered a dark blue Lamborghini truck.
The truck stopped in front of a very tall and luxurious clubhouse, I tried to hide the astonishment on my face. The building was four storey with glass windows and doors.
"Ticket please." The security asked.
"Um… I didn't get a ticket, but someone invited me and I'm sure he's in there."
"No ticket, no entry." The security said in a harsh and serious tone.
I quickly called Mr Wes and in no time, he came to the entrance and picked me up.
"There are so many gold statues here:" I said, admiring the place.
"Oh yeah, it's a thing me and my brother have. For gold statues." He screamed loud enough for me to hear between the music.
The night activities went fast. We played little games like musical chairs, drink or tell and so many others.
By 1AM, the places became empty slowly because the party was over and they all had places to be the next day. I danced a few times with Mr Wes who held my waist and swayed them with his hands.
"Who's that guy from the cafe the other day?" He asked, still holding my waist.
"Oh that guy, don't mind him. He's our overreactive boss."
"For real?"
"Yeah."
"Do you like your job though?" He said and we stopped dancing as if a more serious situation came up.
We walked to the couch by the side of the room and sat.
"Of course I do, I love making coffees, pastries, talking to customers. It makes the little girl in me happy."
"Do you live in this city?" He sipped a cup of wine.
"No I don't, I'm only here for school and work basically."
"Do you have a boyfriend?"
Honestly, I don't know if I do. I liked Alfred and I'm so attracted to him but he doesn't give me the kind of care and love I deserve. He probably lied when he said we're a thing.
"No, I don't Mr Wes." I said and we both laughed.
"Do you mind having some?" He handed a drink to me."
"Yeah, sure." I collected the drink from him.
We started talking about really random things and it turned out we had things in common. For example, he preferred cats to dogs and also prefers gold to silver.
Mid discussion, I started to feel nauseous but I ignored it and thought it was because of the much alcohol I've taken tonight.
"You want some more?" He asked again.
"No, I think I'm fine. I'm feeling nauseous."
"Oh sorry, would you like some water?" He gave me a bottle of water.
"Yeah sure."
I started vomiting on the spot and tried to reach to him to help me but I just couldn't feel him anymore.
"Mr Wes." I coughed continuously.
"Mr Wes?"
"Mr…"
