Rusk told her everything that had happened in the past.
Alex was surprised, disgusted by Rusk's siblings. She felt pity for Rusk.
"How could your brothers do that to you? They shameless bastards".
"They weren't like that when we were kids. They were kind espacially Tyrion.", replied Rusk.
"Tyrion?", the kids were surprised.
"Yeah he is the current head of the family and he is the one behind my execution", Rusk told them.
Kael said, "That disgusting bastard, you should just kill him".
Jace added, "Yeah, we should go and take revenge, Rusk, use your real name"
Alex also joined, "Yeah we should do that after we rescue my little brother".
Rusk stopped them, "Guys, I don't wanna do that. And if I use my real name, more people will be coming here".
Kael said, "Ok but you should consider it"
"I will, don't worry. Tomorrow we will leave this place", Rusk said.
After talking, everybody had amazing dinner and went back to their room to prepare for tomorrow.
Before dawn, Rusk woke up and prepared his things. He also cleaned his room too.
After finishing everything, he went to wake the others. Before going they had little breakfast.
And they left the village, Alex asked Rusk about where they should go to:
"Rusk, where do we go? How do we find them?".
Rusk told her, "Don't worry, I have asked a few people yesterday. Apparently, those bandits are going to the Evandor kingdom where the Flameborn family rules".
Kael asked Rusk, "I think you mentioned the Flameborn family before what kind of family is that?"
Rusk sighed, thinking to himself it would take a while, and explained:
"The Evandor kingdom is a place ruled by people who can use magic, and magic users go there to live, And it is also where my family lives. My family's authority can reach here because we had good relationship with the Vinrathia kingdom. So back to the topic, The Ironlaw family, my family, serves the Flameborn who is a royalty. Also The Flameborn family is cruel, because who doesn't awaken as magic user will not get the family name, even if they are blood-related. And they will be treated as objects."
Kael said, "Damn they are cruel".
Rusk explained the rest, "Just like my family serves the Flameborns, there are other familes too. Their army is the most powerful one in the whole kingdom. Sice there are many who carries the name Flameborn, in the army's main squad. It is said that truly awakened Flameborns can turn into dragons. I think there are a few people who can do that including their current king Aerax Flameborn"
Kael was surprised, "WOW, they can turn into dragons. That's cool".
Jace also said, "Aerax, is he that much powerful?"
Rusk said, "Yes, I can tell from my experience ten years ago, when I was on the run I had witnessed it while passing by. When his castle got attacked by the Ashhelm family. They rebelled against the king to take throne, they all died with all of their army by king's brothers. In the Flameborn family only strength matters, that's how a king is selected. So I thought he might be stronger than all the Flameborns but they could managed to infiltrate the castle and killed many children or took them away".
Jace asked, "So is there any Ashhelm left?"
Rusk said, "I don't know, I guess there might be one or two survived".
As they were talking, they were suddenly surrounded by nine people. It was that drunk man and some local citizens.
That drunk man said, "Torian, take the money and come here. We let the kids go".
Rusk sighed, "I guess I will kill all of you today".
They attacked him from everywhere, but it was no use. Rusk was easily dodging them and didn't even use his sword.
He fought them bare-handed, he punched the first guy in the face, second one kicked him in the stomach. They got angry, and two of them attacked him at the same time.
Rusk grabbed both of their fists, and threw them like he throws some trash.
Seeing it the drunk man got angry, and decided use his brain. He went after the kids to hold them hostage, while Rusk was distracted fighting.
"Hey stop this, or I will kill this boy", the drunk man pointing a knife at Jace.
"Yeah sure go ahead", Rusk replied with a smile.
"I will really kill this guy, I am serious", he told Rusk.
Rusk looked at Jace and noded meaning to use magic. Jace quickly gathered mana in his hand and punched the man in the face. But Jace's hand was hurt.
The man went flying and stood up slowly: "What was that?"
Kael got closer to him and slit the man's throat ruthlessly with his sword.
Everybody was shocked, the man's friends ran away after seeing it.
Rusk got angry, and yelled, "Are you in your right mind? Why did you kill him?".
Kael said, "He saw the existence of magic, he might tell people and because of him Jace is hurt. We should kill the others too".
Rusk yelled again, "We aren't killing anybody".
Kael told him, "Why, It might cause more trouble if I let him be".
Rusk said, "Okay, but don't kill anybody".
After arguing, they went on their way, and there was somebody with a mask who was following them.
The kids didn't notice but Rusk did and whispered: "Guys on three run and don't look back we are being followed".
Kael and Jace quickly understood the situation, but Alex wasn't ready.
"One"
"Two"
"Three", and The boys grabbed Alex's hands and run.
Rusk jumped to attack the enemy. But he was faster and quickly counter-attacked Rusk.
Rusk didn't get it, but barely parried his attack.
As their swords clashed, Rusk was being cornered. The mysterious guy was strong, so Rusk had to use magic. Rusk applied mana around his body, his movements became faster and his blows became heavier.
The mysterious guy was also a magic user. So he did the same thing. And he used vertical slash against Rusk, and Rusk defended with his sword on the top. The shockwave was strong, even the trees around them started shaking.
Rusk fell to the ground, and mysterious guy's sword was by Rusk's sword.
Rusk asked, "Who are you? Just kill me and leave the kids alone".
The mysterious guy took off his mask and said,"My, my famous Torian Ironlaw is caring about others".
Rusk was shocked, and shouted in disbelief, "Vanessa!!!"
