Ding!
[You have killed Sarutobi Shinnosuke, giving Konohamaru a proper childhood. Good deed rewarded — +200 Virtue Points!]
[Congratulations! Your total Virtue Points have exceeded 1,000!]
[You have unlocked a new ability… Lightning Release: Chakra Mode!]
[Current Progress: Lightning Release: Chakra Mode (Beginner – 50/100)!]
The moment he struck down Sarutobi Shinnosuke, Yoru's mind echoed with the System's notifications.
Virtue Points over a thousand.
A new ability unlocked—
Lightning Release: Chakra Mode!
Just this alone sent a surge of exhilaration through Yoru.
Ninjutsu isn't about what's strong—it's about what suits you.
And for Yoru? This was perfect.
With his unrivaled Sharingan perception, the lethal Lightning Release: False Darkness Blade taijutsu, and now Lightning Release: Chakra Mode—his offense, defense, speed, and resilience were all maxed out.
For Yoru's combat style, this was even better than Susano'o.
But that wasn't all…
Yoru immediately poured all 280 Virtue Points (earned from killing an ANBU and Shinnosuke) into his Sharingan's ocular power.
And then—
Ding!
[Congratulations! Your Sharingan has evolved—Mangekyō Sharingan awakened!]
[Left Eye Ability Unlocked: Kuebiko!]
[Kuebiko, the deity of omniscient insight in legend.]
[Your left eye's power, Kuebiko, grants perception over all creation—seeing through taijutsu, ninjutsu, and genjutsu alike, exposing their hidden flaws and dismantling them with ease.]
[In theory, no technique is unbreakable.]
[As your ocular power grows, Kuebiko may even evolve to foresee the future… or peer into the hearts of men.]
"Kuebiko…"
"The power to perceive all things, expose weaknesses, and dismantle any jutsu…"
"So the rumors were true—Mangekyō abilities reflect the user's innate strengths."
"Because my Sharingan specialized in perception, I awakened this…"
Yoru gave a faint nod.
But this was only the beginning. He'd just awakened the Mangekyō—only his left eye's ability, at that.
More importantly…
While the Mangekyō's power was immense, every use brought him closer to blindness.
Unless… he obtained the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.
For others, that required merging eyes with a sibling who'd also awakened the Mangekyō.
But for Yoru?
All I need is more Virtue Points.
With the Mangekyō awakened, Kuebiko unlocked, and Lightning Release: Chakra Mode mastered, Yoru's strength had skyrocketed.
Yet, he was also at his weakest—chakra depleted, body battered.
He couldn't show it, though.
So, facing the enraged and grief-stricken Third Hokage, Yoru played his hand carefully—even accepting imprisonment under the ANBU's watch.
His only demand?
"Release Fugaku."
Sarutobi Hiruzen's face twisted, fists clenched.
Beside him, Shimura Danzō hissed, "You can't let Fugaku go!"
But before Hiruzen could decide, another figure arrived—
Uchiha Shisui.
Hiruzen exhaled sharply.
"…Fine. I agree."
Danzō's expression darkened. "Hiruzen, you—!"
Ignoring him, the Hokage coldly ordered, "ANBU—take Uchiha Yoru into custody."**
"Yes, Lord Hokage!"
The elite ANBU moved cautiously, their gazes icy but their steps hesitant.
This was the man who'd publicly executed their commander, Sarutobi Shinnosuke.
Who would dare act carelessly?
Yet Yoru offered no resistance, letting them surround him.
Hiruzen gave a stiff nod.
The ANBU restraining Fugaku released him, undoing the chakra-sealing barrier.
As Fugaku regained his freedom, Yoru's left eye gleamed crimson with quiet intent.
Fugaku stared at his back, brow furrowed.
"Yoru, you…"
Without turning, Yoru paused.
"Take care of my men, Clan Leader."
And with that, he let the ANBU escort him away.
Hiruzen shot a glance at his elite guard—*"Elephant"*—who nodded and took charge of the escort. Even Hatake Kakashi and his squad joined, making the operation a massive deployment.
Nearly half the ANBU's strength was dedicated to securing one man.
That alone spoke volumes about their fear of him.
Finally, Hiruzen lifted his son's body, retreating under the weight of the crowd's silent judgment.
Shisui hesitated but followed.
The battle had ended as abruptly as it began.
Danzō shot a venomous glare at Yoru's back, then at Fugaku, before storming off with his Root operatives.
The remaining Uchiha gathered around Fugaku.
"Clan Leader… are you alright?" Yashiro asked urgently.
Fugaku shook his head. "I told you—they wouldn't dare harm me."
"But Yoru… he's turned everything upside down."
A heavy silence fell.
Yakumi sighed. "He killed Shinnosuke and ANBU operatives, yet walked into their prison willingly. We can't just abandon him!"
"If we storm the prison now," Yashiro countered, "we'd undo the sacrifice he made to prevent all-out war!"
The clansmen looked to Fugaku.
"We won't let him die," Fugaku said firmly. "But for now—no reckless moves. I'll visit him myself."
"Understood."
…
Yoru, of course, wasn't acting for the greater good.
His surrender was calculated—a move with layers upon layers of purpose.
