Chapter 25 - - Last Beautiful Moment

Haru stood with her arms crossed, scolding the children playing with her father.

Even her father was frightened seeing Haru so angry. The kids all quickly ran away from the scene.

"Hey! Don't leave me alone!"

Fyrel glanced at Amier, hoping for help, but Amier immediately shook his head.

"Damn… You won't help me at a time like this?"

With an awkward smile, he approached Haru.

"Haru, forgive Daddy… I didn't mean to play with them without inviting you, but they forced me! Daddy was actually looking for Mommy..."

Haru stomped her feet repeatedly on the cobblestone and burst into tears.

"Waaahhh!!! Daddy doesn't love Haru anymore… Daddy doesn't want to play with Haru… Waaahhh!!!"

He panicked as Haru suddenly started crying. He knelt down and held Haru's hands.

Come here, give Daddy a hug… Sorry… Daddy was wrong, and I promise I won't do it again…"

He picked Haru up and hugged her, gently patting her back.

She cried on his shoulder, clinging tightly to him, and soon her sobs subsided.

"Promise me you'll never play without me?"

He nodded.

"Yes… I promise."

Because that day would be the last day he would ever play. It was a promise he had no choice but to keep—and if today was the day he played with those kids…

"Let's go find Mommy!!"

He shouted excitedly and lifted Haru onto his shoulders.

Haru, with all the strength in her little voice, yelled back:

"Okay, let's go!!"

On their way to find Hwa, they accidentally came across a crowd gathering because he was curious... he went there first.

And there, someone was playing the guitar—an instrument that only exists on Earth.

"Wow, even musicians were transported to this world."

Not wanting to draw attention, he quickly tried to leave, but Haru tugged his hair.

"Stop!! Dad, can you sing for me?"

Swiftly, he refused...

"No, no, no... Dad doesn't know how to sing."

Haru made a pitiful face and once again looked like she was about to cry with her adorable expression.

Because he felt sorry for her and knew this would be the last day they would meet...

"Okay, Dad will try."

He immediately asked the people around for permission to approach the musician. Everyone was shocked—the Prophet was there—and immediately bowed in respect, making way for him.

He felt uncomfortable being treated as if he were of higher status, so he respectfully addressed the crowd.

"It's okay... You guys don't need to respect me. Just treat me like a normal person."

He approached the musician and whispered to borrow his guitar because he wanted to play a song for Haru.

Without hesitation, the musician handed his guitar over to him.

"Don't worry, Prophet, I'll make it hype for you," he whispered into Fyrel's ear.

Then, loudly announcing to the crowd:

"Everyone, listen!! Our Prophet wants to sing a song for his daughter! So let's all sit down and listen to his voice—and let Haru be a princess for today!"

The crowd immediately burst into applause and sat down together, leaving only Haru standing.

"Shit… this is even more embarrassing with everyone staring at me while I sing… Well, after this, I'll be gone anyway, so they'll forget me."

The musician quickly set up a barstool for him, and he sat down. He adjusted the guitar's posture—left hand on the frets, right hand positioned over the soundhole for strumming (acoustic style).

"Ahem… Ahem…"

He cleared his throat, took a deep breath, and began to sing.

Song :

Loving you in silence… with patience running thin…♪

All these feelings buried deep within…For you…♪

Watching you hold his hand so tight…

Safe within his light…♪

It's enough to wake me up… and leave me

Alone again…♪

You who once stopped by here ♪

And the old stories you used to remind me of..♪

I can no longer bear to reminisce ♪

Let our memories break apart in my heart...♪

End of the Song

Without realizing it, he got carried away by the atmosphere while singing. He saw everyone standing still, their eyes fixed on him.

"What's happening to them… Are they shocked because my voice sounds like a frog or what?"

Hwa was also there, standing behind Haru, holding her shoulders gently.

Then, one person started clapping, followed by another… until the entire crowd burst into applause.

I immediately stood up from my chair, gave them a respectful bow, and waved before handing the guitar back to the musician.

Unknowingly, tears began streaming down their faces. That song truly broke their hearts. It felt like they were brought back to their past selves—forced to love in silence as refugees from another world.

He then walked over to Hwa and Haru.

"How was my voice, Haru… Beautiful, right? Heeeeee…" He seemed proud of himself.

Haru immediately ran away without a word.

"Not again… Why does she keep running away, baby?"

Hwa sighed, feeling a headache coming on from Fyrel's obliviousness.

"Your song sounded like you were going to leave us. Even though she's still a kid… her heart knows that you'll abandon her."

Hwa noticed the worried look on her husband's face after hearing his explanation—he couldn't bear to leave them. She took his hand and pulled him gently.

"Come on, I know where she goes when she's sulking."

They ran toward a small, grassy hill, its peak crowned by a lone tree.

"Wait here. I'll try to calm Haru down."

Hwa walked behind the tree… Ten minutes later, she finally emerged—this time, with Haru in tow.

The girl no longer seemed to be crying, but she still refused to go near her father.

Fyrel spread his arms wide and knelt on the grass, smiling softly.

"Can I get one last hug from my only daughter..??"

Haru immediately sprinted into his embrace, and they held each other tightly. This time, tears streamed down his face.

"I'm sorry, It's my duty to help humans find the feeling of love. But I promise—I'll come back. Can you wait for me...?"

Haru sobbed and nodded against his chest, her tiny frame shaking. Hwa, standing behind them, wrapped her arms around them both, joining the embrace.

The wind, the tree, Amier, and Ryn bore witness to their final moments together before the parting.
