Three days later.
Jun Wu was in the backyard, training.
He had been interested in the Mountain Stance Training Method, but due to his injuries, he could not use the training manual.
But today, he was hoping to try. He wanted to know if he could increase his strength following the manual.
Slowly, he followed the manual, performing a horse stance, then moved to another stance.
On the third stance, a deep groan escaped from his lips. His face was covered in a bead of sweat, with his legs trembling.
Every nerve in his body was in pain, but he gritted his teeth to maintain the stance.
After a few seconds, he collapsed to the ground, gasping for air.
"I underestimated this training…" he mused, rising to a seated position.
Previously, he thought it would be easy as long as he followed the instructions in the manual, but he was wrong.
Although he was injured, his injuries were already healing.
Thus, he only felt a slight pain.
But when he practiced the Mountain Stance Training Method, he felt thousands of needles piercing his skin.
If not for his increase in endurance, he wouldn't have been able to hold on that long.
Just as he prepared to continue his training, he heard a loud scream coming from outside.
"What's going on?" he mused and rose to his feet.
He walked quietly to the entrance to check what was going on. The village was usually peaceful.
The only time there was noise was when the hunters came back with large hunts.
But the noise that was coming from the outside did not feel like excitement.
He sensed fear.
Slowly, he pushed the door to the side, enough for his eyes to see what was happening outside.
What!
His eyes widened in disbelief. His heart jumped to his throat, fear gripped him like a vice.
Standing a few meters from him were the Fierce Tiger Gang men.
Their savage expressions and rugged faces sent a chill down his spine.
He thought with his rising strength, he wouldn't have to fear them. But he was wrong.
Merely looking at them woke the memory of the destruction of the family.
Their mocking laughter, their cold and ruthless expressions as they murdered his parents and little sister were playing in his mind.
He trembled, his breathing raised. His eyes bloodshot.
"What am I doing?" he mused, "I'm no longer weak. I should confront them."
He gripped the door tightly, channeling all his pain and grief into it.
"This is my chance. I can't miss it. I must avenge my parents and little sister," he thought.
"Worst, I'll just die and follow my parents and little sister to the afterlife."
"Yes, I must fight them to death."
Just staring at the savage expression on the Fierce Tiger Gang Boss, his blood surged with fury.
How could he let them go?
Impossible!
As he prepared to return and pick his hammer, he saw many villagers dragged forward.
Among them, he saw the old village chief and many old people. The cries of children echoed in the still atmosphere.
Kids of his age were cowering in fear.
Some of the few adults looked at the savage Fierce Tiger Boss and pleaded.
"P-Please, what did we do wrong? We've paid protection fees this year."
The Boss snorted. "What protection fees? Who said we're here for protection fees?"
He pointed his gleaming saber at the village chief, "Tell me now, one of you killed members of my gang."
"If you don't bring them out now, I'll kill all of you and raze your village to the ground."
Gasp!
The ordinary villagers gasped in disbelief. Fear crept up their faces.
They trembled and the children wailed loudly.
For Jun Wu, he was stunned. He did not expect the Fierce Tiger Gang could trace him to the village.
How did they know?
He did not leave any traces behind.
Even though he did not know how they traced him to the village, he did not care—he was going to kill them today.
Just then, a deep groan came from behind the crowd.
What!
Jun Wu was stunned. Dragged by two gang members, Uncle Kai had a few bruises on his face.
Seeing this, Jun Wu's anger boiled like a raging volcano.
"T-This bastard!" he gritted his teeth, veins protruded from his forehead.
"Boss, we found this rat hiding in his workshop," one of the gang men said, looking at Uncle Kai in disdain.
They threw him and he fell heavily to the ground.
Uncle Kai did not have any change in his expression. He turned his head and looked in the direction of his house.
His eyes locked on Jun Wu's gaze. Although Jun Wu was difficult to see with wooden walls hiding his body, he still saw his eyes.
From his eyes, he could sense the rage and the recklessness he was going to take.
He knew if anyone was going to attack the Fierce Tiger Gang, it would be this kid.
He took a deep breath and shook his head.
Seeing this, Jun Wu was stunned for a moment before he realized why Uncle Kai stopped him from coming out.
With the villagers' lives at stake, he had to consider everything carefully.
He might have wanted to avenge his parents and little sister, but he was not evil to put the lives of Uncle Kai and villagers in jeopardy.
He took a deep breath to control his rage. He was going to wait, and if he found the opportunity to attack without endangering anyone…
He would.
Just then, he heard the village chief speak.
"Sir, no one from our village would dare to kill your members," the Village Chief said respectfully.
"Besides, we're weak villagers, and none of us could match up to the strength of your men. Please, forgive us if we did anything wrong," he said and bowed.
The Boss did not respond. His sharp gaze moved from one face to another.
He knew this village could not have killed his men. One of them was even a Skin Tempering Realm martial artist.
How could they kill him?
But he had gone to the other villages and did not find anything.
This was the only village he visited recently. Thus, he believed the killer must be from this village.
He looked at his men and commanded, "Search once again, don't leave any stone unturned."
"If you don't find anyone, raze this village to the ground and kill all of them."
The Boss said with an evil grin, his gaze locked on the trembling villagers.
Instantly, they began to plead, and women began to cry. The village chief had a lifeless expression on his face.
Just then, a person spoke.
"Sir, I know who killed your men."
