Nox's POV:
It has been three days since I started teaching this class, However, despite my best efforts, these clumsy students are still struggling to be on time for class. Even that body builder, whom I dubbed brat nr. 3, broke his usual routine and was hiding under a table in the cafeteria this morning. The only one who showed up to class today was that purple haired girl, whom I dubbed brat nr.1, who seemed to have learned her lesson after yesterday when I had to quite literally fish her out of her room window on the 3rd floor of the girl's dorm. As for the evil criminal, whom has been dubbed brat nr. 2. He was currently spending his third day in the naughty corner after attempting to drop out of school. What kind of teacher would I be if I let this delinquent down like that. Hence, I secretly snatched his resignation note and promptly fed it to the classroom shredder before I pulled him kicking and screaming back to class.
As the only one to be on time today, I decided to let brat nr. 1 sit at her desk without a seatbelt. Meanwhile the other two were tightly and safely secured as they foamed at the mouth.
"So, today's lesson will be on magic enchantments, now as I am new, I would like to ask the class what they think a magic enchantment is?"
The purple-haired girl raised her hand timidly while giving her fellow classmates a concerned look.
"Yes, brat nr.1." I said as I gestured for her to speak.
"Y-Yes! A magic enchantment is made by engraving lines of elemental energies on to an object in such a way that when someone runs mana through it an effect will occur."
"Very good! 10 points to brat nr. 1! Now, a magic enchantment is not just limited to just an object. It can be used to make a magic array that creates an effect over a certain area like a barrier. It can also be used to draw magic circles on an item, shortening the time and energy required to cast a spell. Such tools are indispensable to a mage who finds themselves in a critical situation." I explained as I started drawing an enchantment on the chalkboard.
"Such enchantments can also be used to create multiple effects using multiple elements, which is useful when creating semi-autonomous creatures known as golems." I said as I activated the enchantments on the board. Soon after the board started crumbling inwards as it took the shape of a dark green mannequin.
"There is also one thing more I would like to demonstrate but let's change the venue a bit." I said as I had the golem carry brat nr. 2 and 3, as I led them to the practice arena for practical lessons. However…
"FIRE BALL!!!"
As soon as we entered a fire ball came flying at us. Apparently, the students of 2A had gathered at the arena for some reason and the brother of my very own brat nr. 2, Suzuki Haruto launched the 3rd tier spell 'Fire Ball' at us the moment we entered the arena.
"What a bunch of losers."
"Do you think the teacher survived?"
"I hope so. It would be a crime to all mankind if his looks were lost to the world."
I could hear the students muttering, as I activated the barrier enchantment on my clothes to block the explosion as I acted as a meat shield for the students behind me. The loud sound seemed to shake the two unconscious brats awake, so there is that at least.
"Damn! Not a single scratch. I guess that's a professor for you." Student Suzuki said as he lowered his arm.
I directed my attention towards vice principal Blackbeard who seemed to be leading this group of kids.
"Vice principal Shao, what a pleasant surprise! Have you come to watch my practical lesson on enchantments perhaps?"
Blackbeard had an arrogant look on his face as he said.
"YOU FOOL! CAN'T YOU SEE I HAVE TAKEN SOME TIME OUT OF MY BUSY SCHEDULE TO PERSONALLY GIVE A LESSON TO THESE TALENTED YOUNG MAGES!"
"Oh! Excuse me, but I believe I reserved this venue three days ago for today's practical lesson. So, if you would be so kind as to wait until-."
"YOU FOOL! DO YOU NOT NO WHO YOU'RE SPEAKING TO! I AM THE ESTEEMED VICE PRINCIPAL OF THIS ACADEMY! IF I WISH TO TEACH A LESSON HERE THEN I WILL! SO, LEAVE BEFOR I FIRE YOU FOR INSUBORDINATION!" He yelled.
