Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: Double Happiness....Part 2

Just as Clark was still immersed in awe, marveling at the majestic glow of the divine artifacts now adorning him, the system's grand chime echoed once more—louder and more resonant than any announcement he had ever received before.

DING—! DING—! DING—!

Congratulations!

[You have earned +2 Supreme Destiny Points]

(Unlocked due to equipping multiple Divine Artifacts simultaneously at Ascendant Level.)

For a brief moment, even Clark's breath caught in his chest.

"Supreme Destiny Points…?"

A radiant golden symbol materialized before him—a unique sigil only reserved for the rarest achievements. Supreme Destiny Points were beyond ordinary understanding. Unlike rewards like divinity or titles, these points were legendary, transcending even divine artifacts in rarity and value.

No ordinary feat could earn one. Most gods, even across thousands of years, never acquired a single point. They were known to be the foundation upon which true supremacy could be built. It was said that when a god aspired to break through the limits of divine authority and touch upon the Laws themselves, they would need these elusive points.

To comprehend a Law—whether of life, war, time, or destruction—a god had to accumulate and spend these points. Without them, no amount of effort or talent could breach the thresholds that lay between the divine and the transcendent.

In ancient records, even a Monarch-tier god like the Goddess of Life, revered across planes and galaxies, had once lamented the slow trickle of destiny points. She stood at Rank 17, on the cusp of entering the Elder God realm at Rank 18. And yet, even with all her unimaginable power and backing, she had only managed to collect six Supreme Destiny Points in over ten thousand years.

And now… Clark, a mere Ascendant, had already gained two.

A quiet intensity filled the air around him.

The golden symbol slowly dissolved into the air, leaving behind an invisible, yet monumental shift within his divine core. Clark could feel it—like a thread of something ancient had been stitched into his very essence.

The system's prompt continued silently in his thoughts.

[Supreme Destiny Points: 2]

In the divine cosmos, it was widely known that to be acknowledged as a true God of Law, one required a minimum of 10% comprehension in that particular law. Be it the Law of Flame, the Law of Life, or the Law of Void—until that threshold was met, even the most talented god remained a pretender to true law-hood.

And yet, comprehension of a law wasn't something that could be gained through battle, study, or even talent alone.

Only Supreme Destiny Points could grant it.

Each point equaled 1% comprehension below 30% comprehension. And that tiny sliver… was priceless.

Unlike other resources, these points couldn't be mined, forged, or gifted. They were earned—by defying cosmic probability, by performing the impossible, by treading where few dared to walk. For most gods, even the ancient ones, a single point was a lifetime's yearning.

Among the highest echelons of power, entire wars had once been waged for a rumored point. Some gods were rumored to offer billions in divine resources—treasures, armies, even realms—in exchange for one Supreme Destiny Point.

And yet…

.....

Only a fool would trade one.

A god might possess divine artifacts, vast territories, and legions of followers—but without comprehension of Law, they would forever be shackled under the skies of true supremacy.

Supreme Destiny Points were more than just rare.

They were destiny itself.

Clark slowly lowered his hand, still buzzing from the divine script's disappearance.

"Two percent..." he murmured to himself.

Two percent into a Law he hadn't even begun to study… and yet he was now closer to true godhood than many who had ruled for millennia.

And that was only because of a talent he never asked for—x1000 Divine Amplification.

He didn't feel proud. He felt pressure—immense and heavy.

But alongside it, a faint smile tugged at the corners of his lips.

...

Clark stepped outside.

The morning air was crisp, touched faintly by the scent of peach blossoms that still lingered in the outer gardens. A low mist clung to the stones as the early sunlight spilled across the ten-kilometer expanse of his domain, now fully awakened to a new day.

Just as his feet met the flagstone path, a familiar chime echoed quietly in his mind.

[System Reminder]

—Notice: Congratulation for starting the 4th Day Since Descent to Divine Continent—

—Warning: Divine Pressure will descend in 3 Days—

—Prepare Accordingly—

His eyes narrowed slightly.

Three days…

That phrase lingered with quiet gravity.

He remembered what the Divine Pressure meant—an inescapable trial that all newborn gods were subjected to. A natural culling. Not merely a challenge of strength, but of will, domain control, and divine foundation. It had nothing to do with age or experience. It simply tested whether a god was worthy of remaining on the continent.

Failure didn't mean death. But it was worse.

Ejection—forcibly expelled from the continent, stripped of rights, and barred from return for a cycle. For many, that was the end of their journey.

Clark's expression darkened slightly. He had read the accounts. Even gods sponsored by ancient powers had been thrown out if their foundations were weak. And he… despite his progress… was still Rank 1.

But now wasn't the time for hesitation.

His crusaders had risen in strength, Seraphiel and Lilith were progressing rapidly, and his palace stood tall as the only confirmed Rank 2 among the newborn gods—though none outside his domain knew that. He now wielded three divine artifacts. And perhaps most crucial of all—two Supreme Destiny Points quietly rested within him, a spark of a future others couldn't yet see.

Still, the Divine Pressure was coming.

And it wouldn't care for equipment or potential.

It would test the core of his godhood.

He closed the system window.

Three days. That was all the time left to prepare.

And he intended to use every moment of it.

....

Clark turned, the soft chime of the system still echoing faintly in his thoughts, and called out calmly:

"Lilith."

A moment later, the crimson-haired woman appeared by his side, her black robes fluttering slightly as she stepped through the archway leading from the inner corridor. Her golden eyes glinted in the morning light.

"My Lord?"

"We're going to the Divine Peach Garden," he said simply, glancing toward the eastern side of the domain where a faint pink hue shimmered in the distance. "They should be maturing today. I can already smell it."

Lilith tilted her head slightly, then nodded. "I noticed the scent spreading through the domain before dawn… it's strong."

Indeed, even now the air was thick with a sweet, ethereal fragrance—floral but also sharp, carrying with it a faint divine essence that stirred the soul. The scent alone was enough to cause minor fluctuations in spiritual energy for ordinary followers. But for gods, it was far more valuable.

Clark led the way, his boots pressing silently against the path as they made their way toward the orchard. The Divine Peach Garden had been planted on his second day after descending. The trees had grown unnaturally fast, nourished by the divine soil and the passive essence of his domain. Their fruit was rumored to grant fortification of the divine body, cleanse hidden injuries, and in rare cases—even elevate comprehension.

As they arrived, the sight was breathtaking.

A field of tall peach trees stretched before them, their branches heavy with thick, glowing fruits. The peaches shimmered with a rosy-golden light, as if sunlight had been caught inside them. Some even pulsed faintly, releasing trails of fragrant mist into the air. The entire grove buzzed with quiet divinity.

Lilith took in the view with reverence.

"So this… is the harvest of a god," she whispered.

Clark nodded but didn't speak. He moved forward, brushing his fingers along one of the lower-hanging fruits. The skin was warm—soft yet resilient—and it throbbed gently with divine energy.

He plucked it.

The moment he did, a system prompt appeared:

[You have harvested a Mature Divine Peach]

—Effect 1: Grants minor Divine Fortification and +0.5 Comprehension to the nearest divine skill, 2% for origin skills, 10% immortal skills, 25% for common skills.

---Effect 2: Grants Greater Healing for physical ailments and increases satiety by 80 % for a single fruit taken.

Divine Peach Garden has entered Active Yield Phase (Duration: 3 Days)

A faint smile touched his lips.

He turned to Lilith, holding the fruit toward her. "Try it."

Lilith hesitated, then slowly accepted the peach. She bowed respectfully, then took a single bite. Almost instantly, a faint golden sheen passed over her skin. She blinked, startled.

"My divine energy just… surged. And something cleared in my mind—my Chaos Thread affinity just became easier to control."

Clark nodded. "These peaches are not ordinary."

He plucked another for himself.

Though his divine foundation was more solid, he could still feel it—the subtle strengthening of his divine core, the ease of breathing, and the clarity of thought that followed. And more importantly, the taste was rich and sweet, like liquid sunlight.

The scent of ripening fruit swept across the air again, and deeper within the grove, more fruits shimmered as they prepared to drop.

With the Divine Pressure looming in three days, every advantage mattered. And these fruits… might become the difference between enduring the test—or being cast out.
