Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Uchiha? Saitama? Uchiha Saitama!

Saitama felt like life was seriously unfair!

Sure, he'd been reborn into Konoha's most famous clan and got stuck with that fancy surname—but coming home always left him feeling hollow.

The massive courtyard was huge, yet only Saitama and Ka Po-pu lived there.

As for everyone else?

Even as a transmigrated soul, Saitama didn't deserve a real family!

Right after his arrival in this new life, Saitama had inherited everything from his late parents—even though he was barely three at the time.

A home right in the heart of Konoha and a sizable inherited fortune!

He'd become exactly what he'd envied in his past life—a man who effortlessly gained the wealth and success that once demanded years of struggle.

Now five years old, according to what Ka Po-pu told him, the clan planned to enroll him in the Ninja Academy soon.

And at five, it was high time to start training!

After spending the whole day outside messing around, Saitama pushed open the black gates. Dragging his exhausted body through the gate, he somehow managed to keep his steps light and bouncy.

Hearing noises coming from the kitchen and smelling delicious aromas drifting out, Saitama knew—he was back right on time.

Not a second early, not a second late!

Guess I really am the king of perfect timing!

Smiling happily toward the kitchen, Saitama recalled the young kid he met earlier today.

Was it... Shisui Uchiha?

Saitama had this afternoon's memory flashing back.

Strutting proudly down the streets of the Uchiha district, Saitama held several sticks of different meat dumplings he'd just bought from a vendor across the street.

With one hand, he lazily watched the world go by while chewing another dumpling with obvious satisfaction.

At that moment, Saitama felt like he'd hit the pinnacle of childhood bliss!

Until he noticed a sneaky little kid tailing behind him.

"Yo, brat!"

Saitama tossed an empty stick from his left hand straight at the boy trailing him.

"Ouch!" Shisui Uchiha accidentally got hit in the head by the wooden skewer.

"Why are you following me?" Saitama asked through a mouthful of dumpling.

Shisui Uchiha looked at the skewer on the ground, then at the guy still chewing away, glancing aside awkwardly.

"This is a public street; who said I was following you?"

Oh ho, brat! If I hadn't caught you eyeing them and licking your lips just now, I might've actually bought your act!

"Oh really? I thought you wanted to get to know me, so I was gonna share my dumplings—guess not then."

Saitama feigned disappointment, speaking regretfully.

Then he turned around deliberately, pretending to leave.

"Wait, seriously?"

A surprised voice came from behind.

The corner of Saitama's lips lifted.

He spun around and shoved all remaining dumplings into his mouth at once.

"Yeah, totally serious!"

With a sincere expression, Saitama watched the boy's face twist gradually.

Staring at this guy who, just seconds ago, claimed he would share dumplings—but now already devoured them all, Shisui Uchiha couldn't help twitching his mouth slightly.

"You... you..."

Shisui Uchiha felt his little brain was starting to freeze up.

"What's wrong, kid?"

While the child before him seemed about his physical age, in terms of mindset, Saitama had long become an old middle-aged uncle—and he loved calling others "kid."

While observing the young kid in front of him, Saitama casually picked his teeth with a toothpick from earlier.

He looked extremely relaxed.

"Didn't you say you were going to share with me?"

"You didn't ask me for it! I thought you didn't want it!"

Saitama's words weren't all that impressive.

Shisui was utterly flustered. His five years of life experience simply couldn't handle this kind of situation.

"What's your name? I'll buy you something good next time."

As a rich kid born into wealth, Saitama wasn't short on cash.

This little brat was probably just an ordinary clan member. Judging from his clothes, his family probably wasn't doing too well.

Helping others brought Saitama satisfaction.

Upon hearing these words, the boy's eyes instantly lit up and his pupils lifted upward.

"Really? Is that okay?" Shisui asked shyly.

"No problem at all!"

Saitama carelessly tossed aside the toothpick he had just used.

With that done, he turned and walked away.

After only a few steps, Saitama suddenly remembered he hadn't asked the kid's name yet, so he turned back toward Shisui, who was still standing there. "Kid, what's your name?"

"Eh? Oh! My name is Shisui, Uchiha Shisui! I live at the end of this street!"

Shisui was startled at first but quickly responded, pointing toward the end of the street while looking visibly happy.

"I see. Got it! I'm Saitama, Uchiha Saitama!"

Saitama flatly replied before turning away again.

But the moment he turned around, Saitama's face twisted into a grimace.

Was every random kid like this character?

[Shunshin no Shisui]? What a legendary title!

Saitama suddenly found things quite amusing. Was this really how Shisui acted when he was younger?

Interesting!

...

"Yup, I'm back!"

Ka Uchiha had just finished preparing dinner when she saw Saitama approaching the house.

Ka Uchiha was over fifty years old, just an ordinary woman whose husband and son had both fallen in battle around the same time. The Uchiha clan had assigned her to be Saitama's caretaker.

Though technically a nanny, Ka Po-pu raised Saitama like her own child, and Saitama held great respect for her.

"Yeah, Granny Ka!"

"What are you thinking about? Why are you smiling too?"

Granny Ka noticed Saitama still had a grin on his face and curiously asked.

"Nothing much. Just met an interesting clan member today. It was pretty amusing!"

Saitama went to wash his hands and helped serve the food into bowls, handing one to Ka Po-pu.

"That's right, at your age, you should make more friends."

Ka Po-pu naturally accepted the bowl of rice Saitama served her with a smile.

After serving himself another bowl, Saitama knelt and sat opposite her.

Even though Saitama carried the mindset of someone far older, he never let her worry—whatever he could handle himself, he did.

We're all walking the path of life for the first time—no one deserves special treatment.

Even though this was technically his second life.

"Come on, eat up! These are all your favorite dishes! Today Grandma specially bought a pig's leg from the village market and cooked it using your idea!"

Ka Po-pu smiled gently and brushed a few strands of silver hair behind her ear.

"Yeah, Granny Ka, you should eat too! It already smells wonderful!"

Saitama spared no praise, and naturally Ka Uchiha laughed happily too.

Dinner passed joyfully in this pleasant atmosphere. The vast courtyard seemed to come alive too, no longer feeling so empty.

After the meal, Saitama quickly cleaned up the dishes and put the leftovers in their proper places.

In the ninja world, for an ordinary person, Ka Uchiha's age already meant she had entered her elderly years.

Saitama, who spent every day with her, naturally knew her health was deteriorating day by day. So he stepped in and took care of most of the chores.

Ka Uchiha didn't object either. She'd long gotten used to Saitama's precocious behavior. It gave her comfort and joy—Saitama really did treat her like family.

After watching Saitama finish tidying up, Ka Uchiha told him to get some rest and went to bed herself.

"Ka Po-pu, you rest early too. I'll go to bed soon!"

Saitama watched Ka's back disappear around the corner, then sat back down on the cushion.

Ka mentioned that the clan planned to enroll Saitama in the Ninja Academy. Calculating the time, school should start very soon—some preparations could begin now.

Looking at the increasingly dark sky outside, Saitama showed an expression unusual for someone his age.

Saitama's arrival here wasn't accidental—it was carefully arranged, a determined necessity.

The greatest talent promised by that deity before his reincarnation should finally manifest now!

This secret cheat ability of mine is the perfect talent—one that fits me perfectly, constantly improving and adapting over time.

Previously, since he was still too young and didn't want to learn ninjutsu too early, Saitama never touched the ninja legacy left behind by his deceased parents.

"There's no time like the present—time to see what this ninja world has to offer!"

With this thought exciting his heart, Saitama could hardly contain his burning eagerness.

Saitama stood up, walked out of the room, and headed upstairs.

This house had three floors: the first floor contained the kitchen, living room, a storage room, and Ka's guest room; the second floor was Saitama's residence along with several guest rooms; while the third floor stored the ninja legacies, Ninjutsu scrolls, and personal notes from his deceased parents.

Originally, Ka lived together with Saitama on the second floor to conveniently take care of him when he was younger. But as Ka felt her health declining and noticed Saitama's growing independence, she moved downstairs to make daily movement easier for herself.

Walking up the stairs to the third floor, Saitama stopped before a door.

This door looked thicker than any other downstairs—clearly guarding something important within.

He pulled the key from beneath the carpet at the doorway and opened it.

Stepping inside, he smelled ink and parchment—a study scent—but no moldiness despite its disuse. Saitama came to clean it regularly anyway.

Though he hadn't learned anything stored here previously, he occasionally flipped through materials now and again.

Turning on the light, gently closing the door behind, Saitama skillfully retrieved a scroll container from atop the desk, sat down, and began reading slowly.
