Chapter 5 - ok dip Aliens versus Predators and Zombies: Get Smart People, Wake Up — Your Government’s Not Your Friend, ET Was."

"Aliens versus Predators and Zombies: Get Smart People, Wake Up — Your Government's Not Your Friend, ET Was." This scene centers on ET's big revelation—he's been speaking all along, but no one was really listening. The setting is a surreal, abandoned playground at dusk, with ET, a bumbling human agent, a menacing government Predator agent, and a horde of zombie-like citizens.

Script: "Kick the Can with the World"

EXT. ABANDONED PLAYGROUND – DUSK

The sky is a bruised purple. Rusty swings creak in the wind. ET stands in the center, holding a glowing, high-tech can. Around him, a dozen ZOMBIE CITIZENS shuffle aimlessly, faces lit by their phones. AGENT MAX, a clueless but well-meaning human, hides behind a slide, peering out nervously. PREDATOR AGENT SMITH, in a cheap suit and sunglasses, stalks the perimeter, clutching a government-issued ray gun.

ET (tossing the glowing can between his hands, addressing the zombies):

You know, I've been playing kick the can with this planet for decades.

You think I'm just here for Reese's Pieces and long-distance calls?

Nah. I'm here to wake you up.

But you never listened. Not really.

He kicks the can gently. It rolls and emits a soft, musical chime. The zombies don't react.

AGENT MAX (stepping out, whispering):

ET! We gotta get outta here! That guy—he's with the Department of Alien Affairs! He's got a gun that turns brains to pudding!

ET (smiling):

Relax, Max. He's not the one you should be worried about.

It's these folks—(gestures to the zombies)—the ones who stopped listening a long time ago.

PREDATOR AGENT SMITH (raising his ray gun):

Freeze! By order of the government, you are under arrest for unauthorized communication with the public!

ET (shrugging):

You mean for telling the truth?

I've been speaking all along.

You just weren't listening right.

AGENT MAX (confused):

Wait, you could always talk? But… you just made weird noises and pointed at stuff!

ET (grinning):

That's what you heard.

But I was speaking in signals, in colors, in patterns you never bothered to see.

You were too busy watching reruns and scrolling your feeds.

The zombies moan, repeating government slogans:

ZOMBIE CHORUS (in monotone):

Trust the system.

Consume.

Obey.

Don't question.

ET (to the zombies, louder):

Wake up! You're not zombies.

You're dreamers who forgot how to dream.

You're thinkers who traded thoughts for comfort.

He holds up the glowing can. It pulses with light, casting strange shadows.

PREDATOR AGENT SMITH (advancing):

Enough! Hand over the device, alien.

The government will decide what the people need to know.

ET (defiant):

You mean what they need to forget.

Kick the can, kick the truth, kick the questions down the road.

That's your game, Smith.

AGENT MAX (finding courage):

Maybe it's time we stopped kicking the can.

Maybe it's time we started listening.

ET (softly):

Now you're getting it, Max.

ET presses a button on the can. A holographic projection bursts forth—images of history, government lies, and people waking up. The zombies blink, confused, some lowering their phones.

ZOMBIE #1 (groggy):

What… what's happening?

ZOMBIE #2 (scared):

Why does everything feel… different?

PREDATOR AGENT SMITH (panicking):

No! Shut it down! Shut it down now!

ET (stepping forward, voice rising):

You tried to make me silent.

You tried to make them deaf.

But truth has a frequency you can't jam.

AGENT MAX (to the zombies):

Listen! He's been trying to help us!

We just never heard him.

ET (addressing everyone):

You want to know the real alien invasion?

It's not me.

It's the invasion of your minds—by fear, by lies, by apathy.

But you can fight back.

All you have to do is listen.

Really listen.

The zombies begin to wake, dropping their phones, looking around in wonder. The playground comes alive with color.

PREDATOR AGENT SMITH (desperate):

You can't do this! The government is your friend!

We keep you safe!

ET (smirking):

Safe from what?

From thinking?

From questioning?

From being alive?

He tosses the can to Max, who catches it, surprised.

ET (to Max):

Your turn.

Kick the can.

Start the change.

AGENT MAX (hesitant, then determined):

Okay. Here goes nothing.

Max kicks the can. It explodes in a shower of sparks and music. The zombies cheer. Smith drops his gun and flees.

ET (to the crowd):

Remember:

Be smart.

Don't be a zombie.

Wake up.

He raises a glowing finger to the sky. The crowd laughs, cheers, and begins to dance as the playground transforms into a festival of light and sound.

FADE OUT.
