Aria's POV.
I jolted awake, my heart pounding like a drum in my chest, a tiny, scared voice whispering in my head. "Aria… Aria…"
It grew louder, sharper, until it was a scream that made my head throb. My eyes snapped open, my breath shaky, my hands gripping the sheets.
The room was dark, the only light a faint glow from the moon outside the curtains. I pressed my fingers to my temples, the ache in my head pulsing hard.
"Kyra, what's wrong?" I asked, my voice rough in my mind.
"What do you want?" It was late, the Fang Pack's guest house quiet, and Alpha Kael lay asleep beside me, his steady breathing the only sound. We should be sleeping too.
Kyra's growl was panicked, her voice shaking. "We're in trouble, Aria!" she said, her words fast, desperate. "Danger's here. We need to leave. Right now!"
I sat up, my heart racing, my head spinning. "What do you mean, trouble?" I snapped, my voice sharp in my mind.
