We get taken to a private room close to the delivery room, "I think we should fill out mine and the baby's discharge paperwork and leave, I don't like the way that nurse was looking at you." Lisa murmurs as a yawn explodes out of her.
"You need to rest, and the baby needs to be cared for." I murmur back to her while taking a wash cloth and patting her sweaty forehead dry.

Holding my newborn daughter for the first time is an indescribable feeling, the desire to protect her and make sure she grows up a good strong person and a take no shit woman, is almost as soul crippling as the fear that I'm going to drop her or that I'm going to let her down or that I'm going fuck her up mentally, and scar her for life.
"You look adorable with that expression on your face." Lex teases me as she enters the private room, alongside Tim, my Dad, Ellie and John Hammond.
Dad chuckles, "She's right I don't think I've ever seen you smiling this big while looking terrified at the same time." Dad jokes while Ellie approaches me cautiously not wanting to taint my daughter's birthday continuing whatever was going on between Ellie and I. I don't stop her Ellie practically glows as she coos at the baby.
"She's adorable." Ellie murmurs in a warmth filled awe, and looks up to me, with a certain light in her eyes.
"Hey, let me hold my daughter!" Lisa tiredly but playfully calls out.
I walk over to her and gently lower the baby into her waiting arms drawing a giggle out of the experienced mother.
"She's not that fragile Alec." Lisa teases me as Lex comes over and hugs my side and leans her head against my chest.
"She has your nose Alec." Both mother and daughter coo and how they can tell with a face like that I have no idea.
"So how's it feel to be a dad?" My dad asks as he walks up beside me while leaning over and making his index finger wiggle in front of my daughter, while smiling.
"Probably about the same way you feel…just more intense worry that I'm going to mess her up somehow." I admit and receive amused snorts and chuckles from everyone but John.
As I stare at my baby girl being held in her mother's arms…I feel myself being wrapped around her tiny little pinky finger.

Leaving the hospital with Lisa, the kids and the baby, I call Sarah, "Congratulations boss!" The woman shouts enthusiastically over the line making me chuckle.
"Thanks Sarah, do you know any ex-navy ship captains or other sailors? I got read-in on some stuff pertaining to site F and would very much like to put patrols around it." I ask the woman in charge of security for Nublar and Sorna.
"I can make a couple of calls, boss. But you might be better hiring out the security to a mercenary group. Between equipment upkeep on a fleet and personnel constraints you don't currently have a lot of viable assets to deploy…unless you start deploying your raptor pack and Rexy to offset the loss to available personnel that will have to patrol the waters surrounding Site F."
"Oh, and Doctor Wu has requested permission to speak with you. It pertains to project Funsized and project Atrocity…he also has suggested your presence on Site C would be most advantageous for your and I quote prehistoric attack dog project, you know some of the eggheads have taken to calling Site C the factory floor after you moved production of new assets and cloning to that island from here on Site B."
"Thank you, Sarah, you're a big help…" I thank Sarah and Lisa holds out her hand to me for the phone, so she can talk to her friend.
I roll my eyes at the woman but hand her the phone and take my daughter from her arms.
'My baby is going to have around the clock raptor guard dogs…with loyalty encoded to her through the use of her DNA, and with the advancements in animal communication we've made thanks to project dino whisperer, which basically did what Maya did in Camp Cretaceous just twenty plus years sooner.' I think as I lean down and gently brush my lips against Savannah's forehead while making sure to channel my healing into her through the short gentle contact.
"I don't get why everyone is so awe, She's so cute, she doesn't look cute, she's all squishy and funny looking." Tim pouts from the third row seating and I know he's saying it out of jealousy over no longer being his Mama's baby and that he's right it pisses me off, because this is my baby…and only Papa has a right to think she's not really cute yet, luckily Lex, Lisa and Jess all either give him looks or pinches that makes him curl in on himself and jump while expressing ow.
Jess and Lex start having a whispered conversation about how seeing me holding my daughter is making Lex wish she wasn't going to college so that she could have my next baby, which makes my eyes open wide in shock.
'No, I want little Savannah here to at least be five or so years old before she gets a younger sibling.' I think but don't say anything as Lisa elbows me and laughs at something Sarah says while giving me a look that screams Ooo grandbabies.
Jess laughs uncomfortably, "Hey Jess you should have a baby with Alec…it's like you're married already and you take good care of him when mom and I aren't around." Lex suddenly suggests and Jess looks at me with a panicking expression while I struggle to pull my eyes away from Alexis who is positively beaming at the idea of me impregnating another woman.
Lisa steps in though, "How about we wait until after the Park opens before discussing any more babies…between little Savannah, Little One and the raptor pack, Rexy and his duties Alec is already spreading himself too thin."
"Ri-right…" Alexis murmurs and puts her head down a bit as her shoulders slump, "I guess this means we'll have even less time to spend together." Lex murmurs softly.
"No one week a month, I'll come stay with you on campus…I'm hiring Claire Dearing starts next week…and she doesn't really have anything to mess up, so I feel comfortable leaving her in charge with Sarah as her muscle…and overseer for me…granted I'm putting even more stress on Sarah which isn't fair to her."
"She volunteered, you're not putting anything on her Alec." Lisa tells me as she takes a quick break from girl talk.
