"Huh? Jujutsu High Exchange Event?"
Satoru Gojo, sporting round sunglasses, yawned.
"Who'd bother with such a boring thing?"
Masamichi Yaga's eye twitched. "Get serious! This is a joint event between Tokyo Jujutsu High and Kyoto Jujutsu High!"
Suguru Geto frowned. "All of us have to go? Are they that strong?"
Yaga's face darkened.
"Not exactly. It's not great to say, but they're… uh, not that tough. Any one of you three could handle them easily."
Despite being first-years, their stellar performance had earned them the title "Strongest Trio."
Conservatively, their strength rivaled even the so-called "Strongest Grade 1," Naobito Zenin.
It felt a bit like bullying.
"Huh? Then why bother? I'm not into stomping newbies!"
Satoru and Suguru grimaced in disdain.
Yaga clenched his fists.
He glanced at Sawa Gojo, sitting cross-legged, silent, seemingly meditating with eyes closed.
"You two brats, take a page from Sawa! Look how composed he is!"
Shoko Ieiri sidled up, poking Sawa's cheek.
"Teacher, Sawa's asleep!"
Yaga: "…"
"SAWA!!!"
Sawa jolted awake. "Huh? What's up, Teacher Yaga?"
Yaga facepalmed. "Long story short, you three must attend this event. The higher-ups want to assess your abilities!"
"Ugh~"
The trio groaned listlessly.
Shoko raised a hand. "Uh, Sensei! Utahime-senpai invited me to study Reverse Cursed Technique. Can I skip it?"
Yaga considered. Shoko's Reverse Cursed Technique was valuable, but these three rarely got hurt.
He nodded. "I'll request approval from the higher-ups."
The Jujutsu High Exchange Event, also called the Sister School Event, was an annual tradition between Tokyo and Kyoto High.
This year's event, however, was unusual.
Kyoto High sent over twenty students from first to third years.
Tokyo High sent only three first-years.
Kyoto students were baffled, some even smug.
Were they handing victory over?
The higher-ups, however, saw the outcome as a foregone conclusion.
Contrary to Kyoto's hopes, they believed Tokyo's trio could win in ten minutes flat.
Frankly, this event was a chance to closely observe Sawa, Satoru, and Suguru's abilities.
And to test some new things…
"Whoa! This is Kyoto High? Way fancier than our school!"
Satoru gawked at the towering shrine and ornate pavilions, eyes sparkling.
Sawa smacked the back of his head.
"Satoru! Don't act like a country bumpkin. Kyoto High will look down on us!"
Suguru nodded. "Satoru, you're embarrassing!"
"Huh? What'd you say? You two wanna fight?"
Suguru scratched his ear. "I beat you last time, Satoru."
"Shut up! I won the time before that!"
"Both of you zip it! I thrashed you both the time before that!"
Satoru and Suguru fell silent, rolling their eyes and looking away.
Damn it, can't argue with that!
Among them, Sawa was undeniably the strongest.
Even with the same abilities as Satoru, Sawa's cursed energy, control, and basic physical skills outshone him.
Sawa stepped forward, claiming center stage. "That settles it—I'm team leader!"
"Huh? Strongest means leader?"
"What else?"
"A leader needs composure! Strength alone makes you a grunt!"
"Quiet, Satoru. You're the least composed of us!"
"Suguru! Wanna throw down?"
"Bring it!"
BAM! BAM!
Satoru and Suguru crouched, clutching their heads as red lumps steamed.
Sawa smirked coldly. "Satoru! Burn respect for your big brother into your brain!"
"And you, Suguru! You still owe five billion for Playful Cloud. Want me to hike the interest?"
"Jerk! Suguru, let's take him!"
"You're on!"
Satoru and Suguru each grabbed one of Sawa's legs, tackling him.
Sawa fought back, yanking Satoru's white hair and locking Suguru in a cross-arm hold.
Soon, their moves devolved into a childish brawl.
Pinching waists, poking noses with scissor hands, Sawa even chomped Suguru's bun!
Their art style shifted to chibi, a dust cloud enveloping their "strongest" free-for-all.
Inside Kyoto High's teaching building.
Over twenty young Kyoto sorcerers, raring to go, stood tall.
Behind them were the three great families' higher-ups, Jujutsu High's administrators, and one unique woman.
The jujutsu world's only Special Grade sorcerer, Yuki Tsukumo.
"Hey, old man, what's so special that you dragged me back from overseas?"
Yuki asked Gakuganji Yoshinobu, showing zero respect for elders.
Gakuganji, unfazed, his half-closed eyes glinting.
"This event features three exceptional students. If things go south, we need you to keep control."
"Huh?"
Yuki paused, then scoffed. "You old geezers are losing it. What trouble could three kids cause?"
But Gakuganji's face was grave.
"Yuki, these three are different. Two are the Gojo clan's Six Eyes twins—you've heard of them. The third has rare Cursed Spirit Manipulation, the strongest spirit-control technique!"
"First-years, yet already dubbed the Strongest Trio. It's only a matter of time before they're Special Grade!"
Yuki's expression turned serious.
"Six Eyes twins? Cursed Spirit Manipulation? Three prodigies!"
The higher-ups nodded eagerly.
Gojo clan leaders puffed out their chests with pride.
Zenin and Kamo clan members seethed with envy, glaring at their own lackluster heirs.
"These three are Yaga's students, right?"
Yaga, tucked in the crowd, scratched his head. "Just luck. It's an honor to teach them!"
"Here we are!"
The group reached the teaching building's doors.
Gakuganji chuckled. "Let's meet these prodigy teens!"
His aged frame radiated uncanny strength, effortlessly swinging the doors open.
The scene outside came into view.
Kyoto students and scheming higher-ups craned their necks, eager to see the fabled "Strongest Trio."
But then, they froze.
The legendary trio was tangled in a childish brawl, bruised and bloody, shoe prints on their faces, shrieking in chaos.
Yaga's face burned with shame, wishing he could vanish into a crack in the ground.
He knew, from this day forward, his reputation as an educator was toast!
