"I swear I didn't mean to fall on Kai," I said for the fifth time that morning in the school while walking with my best friend Theo towards the class.
"You landed on him several times," Theo replied, in frustration.
"Gravity attacked me. What should I do." I said.
Theo laughs.
Next day in the class, he sighed and handed me a bandaid for the tiny cut on my knee. My fourth bandaid this week.
And after taking the bandaid I go towards the class door to see if the teacher is coming or not and suddenly someone from behind pushed me.
And I fell on a boy and I looked up to see the boy I fell on—Kai, the new guy—walking into the classroom like he owned the planet.
> Tall. Smirking. Dimples that could ruin lives.
He winked.
I choked on my own saliva.
"Still falling for me?" Kai said as he passed by, casually stealing the seat in front of mine.
> "Still annoying?" I shot back.
"Only when you're around, chaos girl." he said and pats my head and sits on my front chair.
Well, in this time i feel like I'm going to burst as I'm feeling my heart his racing by his touch.
Then I go and sit with Theo as we're deskmate and I saw Theo's jaw tightened .
> I nudged him. "What?"
"Why he's sitting infront of us," he mumbled.
"Btw It's just… he flirts with everyone" he said.
"So?" I said in confusion.
"So maybe you shouldn't flirt back." he said looking at me like I did any crime.
I wasn't flirting. I was fighting for my pride. That's different. Right?

Lunchtime – Cafeteria chaos
I tried to open a juice box.
It exploded on Kai's white shirt
only for my clumsiness.
> "Seriously?" he asked, laughing.
"You jinxed it!" I accused.
"You owe me a dry-cleaning bill and maybe your heart."
"WHAT?!" I said and seriously my brain stopped working at that time.
Theo stood up from across the table, looking two seconds away from snapping a straw in half.
> "Lila, you good?" he asked, staring directly at Kai.
"Yeah," I said, wiping juice off Kai's chest with a napkin.
…Okay, that looked way more romantic than it was.
