Chapter 1 - Archival 1: New Beginnings within the Chronicles of Life!

The City of Jimmens… Feel like you've gotten a tiny sense of deja vu yet?

Tourists had tended to call it the City of Creation. It has been well known for the diverse community and its efficient housing. Jimmens was founded by Rysen B. Jimmens, in the year 1967. Our story started on a sunny day, a few weeks after a certain party. June 13th, 2003!

There are a lot of landmarks within this city, such as an Arcade; the local park and Jimmens National Library. There's even a forest beside the city for those who desire exploration and nature!

When one heard a bell ringing throughout the city, that meant school was out for the day. Students at Jimmens High leave the school in a rush, usually heading to the arcade to celebrate the end of the day. However, no such bell rang on this day, as it was summer.

This city has quite a few well known Incidents regarding it. Such as an incident 2 years ago, where a boy caused the city's power grid to go offline for several weeks. The incident caused him to get banned from several locations and they later called it the Power-Grid Incident.

Although Jimmens had efficient housing, there was one house that was unlike the others in the area. It looked normal from the first 2 floors, But looking above one could notice something was… Off. The third floor seemed to be spherical with the letter B engraved on the front as well as a sign under the sphere that said "Lab".

Looking to the side of the house, a slide came from out of the house and extended all the way to a pool beside the home. In the front, there is a futuristic TV where second floor windows would normally be.

This house was bought and modified by a man called Buster, he resides with a boy named Bmon, that boy was the one who caused the Power Grid Incident within this city. This is the story of Bmon's daily life!

Bmon slowly woke up as his alarm went off. He tried to get off the bed but fell onto the ground face first, he groaned before getting up immediately after brushing off his pants.

"F!*#. I should've waited to fully wake up before getting up… Stupid alarm." He tapped the top of the alarm to make it stop. He then went into the bathroom to prepare for the rest of the day.

After he was done, he entered the living room on the first floor and sat down on the couch, grabbing the TV remote on the table in front. He then turned on a boxing anime he had been watching.

When the opening played, Bmon glanced at several pictures on the wall depicting Buster and Bmon at different locations. 10 minutes passed. Buster came down from the third floor, he entered the living room while sighing, right before tripping on the table and falling; he slowly got up from the floor afterwards.

"H-Hey Bmon, do you think you could do me a favor...?" He asked, approaching the couch. Bmon stared at Buster while pointing at the television, pausing the episode in annoyance. He sat the TV remote on the table.

"...The last time you asked for a favor I said no, why would I say yes now?" He smirked.

"Well... This time it's in your best interest! You see, I have a few things I need for an experiment that I cannot get unless I go to Japan. Normally I would go myself, but one of my inventions requires me to observe it for half an hour." Buster explained while handing Bmon a piece of paper that said "Shopping List" with various items listed.

"And, that gives me a reason why I should?" Bmon sighed before standing up.

"Fine… I'll do your stupid chores-" Suddenly, the living room started to distort around them. In what can only be described as the fabric of reality "Glitching". It changed the appearance of everything around them. After it stopped, something out of their vision that was still distorted jumped out of an open window.

Bmon glanced around the living room, which now looked a little more modern, the TV in particular was now widescreen. "Uh… Buster, you saw that too didn't you?" He looked at the calendar and immediately was shocked. The date was now June 13th, 2024. Buster stared at him for a brief moment.

"No…? What are you talking about Bmon?" He tilted his head in confusion.

"...Um... I'm just gonna go then." Bmon slammed his hand onto the couch, causing a portal to open simultaneously; he jumped into it, the portal closing straight afterward.

The Archive, otherwise known as Archived Space is what can only be described as a psuedo pocket dimension within the fabric of reality. Grass surrounds the area for as far as the eye can see.

In front, there is a mansion. The inside of the mansion seems to be practically infinite, as it expands as more furniture is made. However, the outside area stays the same no matter what. Bmon utilizes Archived Space to travel anywhere on Earth, but in order to use it he must come out from the same type of furniture he used to get into Archived Space.

Thus, he can't enter from a chair and go out using a bed. So on, and so forth.

Bmon fell from the pitch black sky within Archived Space, landing on the grass slowly. He got up while glancing at the sky. "…Since when did it drop me from the sky?" He disregarded the strange occurrence and walked toward the mansion.

Bmon opened the door and entered the Mansion of Assorted Archives, or just Assorted Archives. The mansion interior is cozy, with carpets that extend along the pathway.

The front room, otherwise known as the lounge, contained a lot of info as well as a table in case you wanted to sit down. As he walked into the lounge, the Guardian of the Archive appeared out of thin air.

He resembled an axolotl, but he was VERY big and he hovered around. He flew down to Bmon before speaking in an annoyed tone, "Let me guess... Buster asked you to do his chores again?" He scoffed.

Bmon laughed a bit. "Yeah. You know Buster well, Guardian." Suddenly, Guardian went face to face with Bmon in a flash. The lobby started to shake due to the sheer annoyance coming off of Guardian.

"Bmon... I'm only going to tell you this once, stop doing Buster's dumb chores! He's a lazy scientist, make him do it himself!" Guardian glared at him intensely.

Bmon stared at him for a moment. "Well, it is your own fault that you don't let me bring him into Archived Space." He responded without so much as flinching.

Finally, the lobby stopped shaking as Guardian sighed; moving back briefly. "Fine! Do whatever you want, but leave me out of it!" He disappeared into thin air. Bmon sighed, wondering why Guardian hated Buster so much.

He then checked a map attached to the lounge wall. "Alright... The easiest route would be Tokyo..." Bmon walked around the mansion, he walked past the library, and went into a room titled "Essential Japan Locations". He opened one of the many doors within the room and walked through it.

Bmon appeared in a furniture store in Tokyo, Japan. The customers gasped as he came out of a couch on display. "Mommy… A strange man just came out of the couch…"

"Don't look at him, dear…" The mother said, he glanced around before facepalming.

"...Shit, I forgot I used a couch to enter Archived Space. Um... Nothing to see here fellow customers, I was just testing how comfortable the inside of this couch was. Probably." The customers went back to what they were doing as he accidentally bumped into several chairs while running toward the exit.

He sighed after getting outside. "Alright... Time to do a hell of a lot of shopping." Bmon proceeded to go around Tokyo for a couple hours buying the items on Buster's shopping list. After he bought the last item, he walked outside while glancing at how many bags he was holding.

"Jeez... Buster could've made a smaller list couldn't he-" Without warning, a woman lost in thought accidentally bumped into Bmon. The collision caused them both to fall onto the ground, causing him to drop all the shopping bags he was holding.

"I-I'm so sorry! A-Are you alright…?" The woman helped Bmon pick up the shopping bags, he thought for a moment. "...Is this a scene straight out of a romcom anime?".

"Yeah… I'm alright…" As he spoke, the woman recognized him and started to burst into tears.

"E-Eh!? D-Did I say something wrong…?"

"Bmon! It really is you, I've waited so long to see you again!" The woman wiped the tears from her eyes as she smiled.

"...Do I know you?" Bmon asked curiously, unaware of her relation to him. "My name is Fukumoto Himari, I am your mother." Bmon stared at her with a blank expression for a moment before punching himself.

"U-Um… Why did you…?" Himari looked shocked, "D-Don't worry about it, I just punished myself for something I thought a second ago…" He sighed.

"I guess I don't have any memories from before I ended up in Jimmens 5 years ago, so if you really are my mother. I suppose that makes sense…"

"There's a reason for that, but it's better if we go home first, alright?"

Bmon looked at the shopping bags he was holding and grinned. "Pfft… Buster won't mind so I suppose I shall go with you." Himari led Bmon to a fancy looking car, powered by electricity, Bmon's eyes widened in astonishment.

He paused for a second. "...Wait, did electric cars exist a day ago?"

"Yeah…? It's 2024 not the early 2000s, haha…" She laughed at his confusion before getting into the car.

"...Right. Guess my memories are just playing tricks on me then." Bmon got into the car and they started to drive off VERY quickly.

"You… You are obeying the speed limit right?" He said as Himari laughed.

At the same time. Somewhere on Earth located inside of an abandoned temple. A pair of doors which contained the symbol of infinity opened, revealing a futuristic machine with a boy inside of a test tube.

"Warning. The requirements preset by ♡♤◇♧ have been met for Redacted to be unsealed. Test Tube I will open in 3. 2, 1…" The test tube opened and the boy fell out of it barely managing to catch himself from falling onto the brick floor. He looked around in a haze.

"...What year is this? …Oh well-" Suddenly the boy noticed a presence far away from him, he gripped his hands tightly. "Right… I have to go find the new user now." The boy held his hand towards the floor. He instantly reduced the abandoned temple into a million pieces and started to fly toward the presence he sensed.

Bmon and Himari have just arrived at what appeared to be a mansion that resembled the Assorted Archives, Bmon eyes widened with confusion. "...Isn't this Assorted Archives? What's it doing on Earth and not in Archived Space?

Himari laughed briefly. "No… This is the Fukumoto mansion, I don't exactly know what this "Archived Space" looks like, but it is probably just a coincidence…" Bmon shook his head in agreement and they walked inside, Bmon noticed that the inside of the mansion was way different from the Assorted Archives.

"Huh. This place looks amazi-"

Without warning, a girl ran directly into Bmon faster than he could react. It felt like he just got punched in the gut.

"...What in the hell was that?" He glanced down and saw a girl hugging him gently.

"Welcome home, Onii-san!" As the girl spoke, Bmon looked over at Himari and pointed at the girl. "You didn't tell me I had a younger sister… Would've been good to know before we entered." Bmon sighed and patted her head.

"Oh right… I suppose I didn't, you also have an older sister. But first let me introduce your younger sister, her name is Fukumoto Hana." She told him.

"Well… it's nice to meet you Hana, now could you please get off of me?" Hana nodded while walking over to Himari.

A man walked into the lobby, his blonde hair unmistakably recognizable. Bmon started to walk towards him. "...I'm assuming you are my father?" He asked, pretty certain he was right.

"Yep, my name is Dan! Nice to meet you… Again, Bmon." They shook hands before Himari started to speak.

"We should have dinner now, Bmon. You can meet the other two members of our family while we wait for the food to be ready." She pointed toward the dining room.

Once they entered the dining room, Bmon was quickly astonished by how fancy it looked. The table shined brightly, and the chairs looked super comfortable. He noticed a girl sitting down at the table grunting.

"Okaa-San… Did we really need to have dinner right now? I was in the middle of getting a high score…" She sighed in annoyance.

"Of course! You always have to eat at the proper time, Tsubame…" Himari pouted.

"I'm assuming that's Bmon over there? Hello, I'm Tsubame. I'm a massive shut-in and our mother tries to get me to go outside way too much…"

"...Now you are just giving me a history lesson on your life?" Bmon looked confused. Finally, an old man walked into the dining room. He sat down while yawning.

"Himari, can we eat quickly so I can go back to bed…? You know I like my nap time." He noticed Bmon sitting down.

"Oh! Bmon, is that you? I haven't seen you for 5 years. Honestly I thought you died until Himari told me you were alive, my name is Yuto." He laughed, Bmon nodded before speaking.

"Is that everyone, Okaa-san…?" Bmon questioned.

"Hold on, one person hasn't arrived yet…" She said while looking around the room wondering where they were.

"I thought you said there were only 2 people I was meeting in the dining room?" Bmon turned his head in confusion.

"Well, I wasn't lying… You have met him before."

After Himari said that, Buster ran into the dining room.

"H-Himari… Do you know how hard it is to get to this mansion in one day, when I don't even have a teleporter set up in the mansion!? I had to walk all the way from Akihabara…" Buster was panting from exhaustion.

"...Buster? Why are you here?" Bmon immediately threw the shopping bags at Buster.

"Oh right… I'm the Fukumoto family's butler." Buster explained while catching the shopping bags, without even a single item dropping leaving Bmon speechless.

"That… Explains why you cook like a master chef."

"Hold on, I'll be back in a second." Buster very quickly ran into the kitchen, coming back with food and beverages. He put them on the dining table.

"Alright, now that everyone is seated. I will now tell you what really happened 5 years ago…" Buster sat down next to Bmon.

"It all started when I found a pocket dimension out of sheer luck, I believe it was June 13th, 2020, ironically exactly 5 years ago from today."

June 13th, 2020. Fukumoto Mansion, Buster's Lab.

Buster was messing with scientific equipment in his lab at the Fukumoto Mansion when an alarm suddenly went off due to one of the machines. He picked up the report from the machine, his eyes widened with surprise.

"A… Pocket dimension? I could potentially try to open it, but that would require an assistant. Where could I find a…" As Buster spoke to himself, a young Bmon walked into the lab.

"Oh. Bmon, perfect timing! How would you like to be… An assistant for a scientist today?" Buster asked, patting Bmon's shoulder.

"Sure! I don't have anything better to do." He smiled, Buster planned out the experiment afterwards.

"Alright, Bmon. We need to go find the nearest couch and bring it into that test chamber right there okay?" He pointed at the test chamber.

"Alright!" They went into the entertainment room and dragged the couch to Buster's lab, putting it in the test chamber. They walked out afterwards.

"Now… Go back into the test chamber Bmon, I'll make sure you don't get hurt." Bmon nodded, going back into the test chamber.

Buster looked at the machine that gave the alert and analyzed the readings.

"Bmon, touch the couch it should do something."

Bmon touched the couch. A portal started to form growing every second that it was open.

"Oh good… Now if I can stabilize the portal so it stays open-" Buster saw a figure coming out from the other side of the portal out of the corner of his eye.

"B-Bmon, get away from the portal!" However it was too late, the creature quickly grabbed Bmon and went back to the other side.

"Buster! Help-" The portal closed instantaneously, Buster's mouth dropped to the floor in thought of what Himari would do to him if she found out.
