Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Everyone was stunned by this performance. Before the soldiers could recover, a loud cry came from the dragon. From this, the clouds in the sky appeared out of nowhere and turned into dark clouds. It started raining fireballs. The houses of ordinary citizens of Helgan were destroyed in a matter of seconds, and seeing all this, they could not do anything.

General Tullius announced:

"All rise." Don't show fear.

But not all the soldiers could stand up. After all, many were scared out of their wits by the huge dragon.

Its carcass is framed by countless pitch-black scales, forming a dense hide. Long hooked claws grew on the lower paws. Powerful muscles could be seen on every part of this great dragon's body. His huge wings seemed to be able to cover half the city. What caused fear and awe, however, was his face. The mouth is studded with razor-sharp teeth, and the horns could pierce any living creature. His eyes were glowing red. And there was a certain sinister spark in them. At one glance, any animal felt helplessness and fear.

Quickly getting his bearings, Ralof dragged John along with him.

— Let's run faster! This is our chance!

John immediately figured out what was going on and ran after Ralof. Entering the tower, they met Ulfric and some of his warriors. Ralof started:

"Jarl Ulfric, is this really true!?" I always thought that dragons were fairy tales.

— We saw him live. Isn't that proof, Ralof? This is a bad sign.

"We should get out of here!"

Ralof declared. John and Ralof started up the stairs. Having already reached the half of the tower, the dragon flies in. He literally smashed through the tower and split them into two parts. The upper part flew 40 meters away and crashed to the ground. Fortunately, John and Ralof did not reach the top of the tower. John said:

— Huh. For the first time, I'm glad that I'm not a good runner.

— Phew. How do you joke at times like this?

— I don't know. It's just that I want to dilute the atmosphere in the midst of all this stuff.

— Okay, you see that inn over there. — He pointed his finger at the nearest building. "You should jump to it." I'll get through to you somehow.

"That's right, blond. — John moved a little further away and, after running two meters, pushed off the floor. As he fell, he tried to aim at the inn. After regrouping in the air, John successfully landed in the ruined inn.

"He's capable." Wait, did he call me blonde?

John went downstairs and ran outside. He saw an old man and a child moving away from the road behind the building. Hadvar ran up to them in his battered armor.

"Are you still alive, boy?" Well done. Old man, look after the kid.

Hadwar turned around and saw John. A look of surprise appeared on Hadwar's face.

"Are you still alive, prisoner?" Great. Stay close to me if you want to live.

John didn't say anything and went after the Khadwaram. The dragon spewed out a stream of fire, and John, along with Hadwaram, managed to hide and get away. It was seen how the magi warriors of the Empire tried to injure the dragon, but it was all in vain. No spell could do any damage to Alduin. John could even make it out. "He was smaller in the game. Now it is about 4 times more than in the game. And it's a terrifying shape, along with the eyes. They're terrifying." Goosebumps spread over John's body. The whole situation bordered on death. He could barely contain himself. When they reached the fortress, they were met by Ralof along with the Khadwaram. Hadvar became extremely angry at the sight of Ralof.

—Ralof is a bloody traitor. What are you going to do?

"We're running and we're going to run, Hadwar. No matter what it costs us.

— Then let this dragon take you to Sovngard.

And then a dilemma arose. John has two choices. Go after Hadwaram or Ralof. In general, John had a positive attitude towards the Empire, but there is one catch. Due to the negligence of the top of this army, he could have died. And that's unforgivable. He can't just forgive them for that.

Everyone offered to go with him. But John chose Ralof. After all, he didn't want to kill him.

—Damn,— John swore.

They quickly entered and closed the door.

John tried to stand. Although he was an athlete, this stress and a rather difficult sprint exhausted him. Ralof saw a fallen comrade near the table. He went over and examined the corpse.

— See you in Sovngard.

John looked at it with interest. Not only do the Storm brothers end up in Sovngard, but also the Imperials.

"Get the rope off my hands."

—Oh, yeah.

He cut the bonds with a quick movement of the dagger.

"You can take Gunyar's things. He won't need them anymore.

John has never looted in his past life, but survival requires such measures. John quickly removed the leather armor and axe from the corpse. "It's not that hard."

—Damn,— Ralof shouted weakly. — The doors won't open.

"Wait, Ralof. John listened to the sounds. — Two people are coming to us.

— Let's ambush them faster.

— I'm on the left, you're on the right.

They settled down near the gate. John's face was nervous. He was not a warrior and wielded an axe only when chopping wood. But it's worth hoping.

— Open the gate. — A familiar voice was heard. John got ready.

As soon as the gate opened, an ordinary soldier ran out, but as soon as he crossed the threshold, John forcefully aimed an axe at the Imperial's face. To John's surprise, the Imperial was able to deflect his head and the axe only grazed his right shoulder. "How is this possible?Ralof did not aim at the head and hit the captain's knee.

— Ow! Damn rebels.

The Imperial duo is already on alert. But the Duo of Ralof and John are not green either. Especially Ralof.

— Aaaaaa! Ralof's shout marked the beginning of the fight.

The captain's wife went against Ralof, and John tried to help Ralof, since it was necessary to deal with the strong first, but the imperial blocked his way. He was wearing an ordinary leather armor with a dragon symbol on his chest.

"Where's the guy going?"

— And what is not visible? Kill your captain.

"I'm afraid you won't be able to handle her."

"Stop talking, Imperial.

The Imperial became serious and executed a downward slash with a sword in his hand. John moved to the left. They exchanged blows and probed the ground. John barely dodged the Imperial's sword. It has already lasted 3 minutes. The Imperial abruptly lifted his foot and aimed it at John's stomach. John was about to jump away when he stumbled over a protruding rock. John's eyes widened. "That's the number." The Imperial soldier chuckled at the sight. He swung and was ready to pierce John's chest. Time seemed to slow down...

John saw the Empire soldier looking at him haughtily. As the sword slowly moved towards his neck. And then John noticed how Ralof's fight was going. It was clearly dominated by her. After all, the title of captain is not just given. Ralof was on one knee. Bruises were visible on his face, and there were cuts in 5 places on his armor. There were particularly deep furrows on his arm and stomach. They were bleeding. John's eyes lit up with determination. "Die without even starting your journey!? I refuse to believe it!". A faint ripple passed through John's soul.
