"We are going back to the Mansion tomorrow morning" Alpha Mitch announced rigidly after Alpha Raul had left.
"But we won't be done by then, why do we–
"I said we are going back, no argument!" Alpha Mitch cut him off and replied in a voice that reverberated through the room.
His eyes softened when he realised what he had just done.
His beta looked at him in bewildered silence, what was becoming of his Alpha?
He thought helplessly.
Despite realising he was acting out of character he still could not relax for the rest of the day.
He had intended to keep his mate and about the Omega private and until the mating ceremony day that they would appear together before the pack members.
"Have the security at the mansion tightened. Nobody should go in or out until I return". Alpha Mitch ordered as he thought about how to keep everything under control.
"Alright Alpha" Gale replied without and left to make an arrangement for his instructions.
After Gale walked out, Alpha Mitch was left to his thoughts but his phone started ringing.
He absentmindedly picked the call but it ended just before he could hear the voice of the person on the other end and he brushed it off.
His mind finally relaxed a little after Gale came to inform him that everything had been put in place.
"But there's an issue," Gale said, unsure on how to report what he just heard to the Alpha.
There is a higher chance he would demand they return or he return alone.
"What?" Alpha Mitch asked and waited for him to talk but Gale stalled for a second.
Alpha Mitch frowned upon noticing his hesitation.
"Did something happen?" He asked but Gale shook his head and slowly moved back a step.
"Adriana is at the Mansion" He said with a suppressed groan.
"What?
What the hell is she doing there?" Alpha Mitch asked, his eyes turning dark in anger.
The thought of her and his Omega in the same place in absence made him agitated and worried.
He knows the extent she can go because of little issues and the thought of him getting married to someone else has never been accepted by her.
Bringing out his phone, he immediately called her number.
His dark eyes went clouded with worry as she did not pick the call and it went straight to voicemail.
"Get someone to check on the Omega and get back to me". He ordered as he struggled to remain composed.
It has been Raul to get him worried about his Omega and now it's Adriana.
Meanwhile at the Mansion, Tristan cried quietly after Adriana left the room. His fear crowded in on him.
"He would know the truth and throw me out." He muttered and imagined the worst.
The thought of his stepfather yelling and getting angry because he ruined everything within a few days made him hate himself.
What can I do?
He thought in a frenzy even as he could not think properly.
"You fucking stinky Omega!" Adriana cussed as she barged into the room after being gone for a few minutes.
Tristan looked up in fear and backed away in fear.
"You freaking called him!" She yelled, holding him by the neck.
Tristan fought against her hold as the sharp tip of her nails pierced into the delicate skin of his neck.
He winced in pain before she finally let go.
"Alright, I just can't accept him taking you over me. If it was another beautiful woman I won't even fight it. But you?" She accused, her gaze moving up and down the length of his body.
"But since this is all a secret, how about you strike a deal with me?" She asked and turned to smile at him in a sinister manner.
"What do you want?" Tristan asked in a small voice.
"You fucking idiot!
It's not what I want, it's because you have no choice but to do as I say!" She yelled again.
"So I want you to disappear from his sight, now and forever" She said in a chilling tone.
"Disappear?"
Tristan thought in confusion.
"Since you don't want anyone to know your real gender, how about we make it go away altogether?
I will sneak you out of the house tonight, you will then disappear forever. Leave and never come back.
If you want some money to survive for a while, I will give but no one must know about this!" She explained with a bright smile.
A sudden cold envelope Tristan.
The thought of leaving and never coming back was a strange possibility he never considered before.
He could complete his degree quietly and leave the country afterwards.
But his mother would be worried to death. He thought and slowly shook his head.
"I can't," he replied while avoiding her gaze.
"Would you want me to take you away myself?" Adriana asked coldly and Tristan shook his head vigorously.
"Good, then tonight you will leave on your own!" She concluded.
Tristan bit nervously on his lower lips at the thought of running away.
It would take the Alpha little effort to comb the whole country for him and he would be so pissed when that happens.
But he did not when the night arrived and Adriana went into the closet and brought out a black hoodie and a black pair of grey pants.
"Wear this" She said and went out of the room.
Tristan hurried to change in the clothes and stood waiting for her.
His eyes were dry now as he could no longer cry but he was worried he had no phone to call anyone.
Adriana threatened his maid into silence also and made her distract the guard while she took Tristan out of the Mansion to the next bus station.
She waited until he had boarded the bus before she turned around and left with a satisfying smile on her face.
She returned to the Mansion to wait for Mitch since he ordered the guards not to let anyone leave the mansion and if she also left he would pin Tristan's disappearance on her.
