Lyanna's phone rang, and she looked to see it was her dad. Then she answers her phone.
Lyanna spoke into her phone to her dad, saying, "Hi, Dad." How are you?"
"I'm doing good. How are you doing, sweetie?" Her father asked with a questioning tone.
"Getting ready to go to a young adults party at the Biltmore winery." She spoke in a tone filled with excitement.
Frank, shaking his head at his daughter's excitement, said, "That's wonderful, sweetie. You have a wonderful time tonight."
Lyanna, smiling through the phone, "Of course. What do you guys have planned for tonight?"
Her father chuckled softly, "Oh, your mom and I are just planning a quiet evening at home. Maybe we'll catch up on that show we've been binge-watching."
Lyanna chuckled at her father's comment and replied, "That sounds wonderful, Dad." What show are you thinking about watching?"
Her father replied, "We're thinking about diving back into 'The Crown.' We just can't get enough of it!"
Lyanna smiled, imagining her parents curled up on the couch, engrossed in the drama.
She loved how they always found time for each other, even amidst their busy lives. "You should let me know what you think of the latest season," she said, genuinely interested in their thoughts on the royal family's intricate history.
Her father chuckled, "Absolutely, we'll definitely keep you in the loop. It's fascinating how they weave real events into the story." Lyanna nodded, eager to hear their perspectives once they finished the season.
"That would be wonderful. Thank you, Dad." She was filled with gratitude for having her father in her life.
"You're welcome, sweetie." Her dad was full of pride in his voice.
"So what does my brother Connor have planned for tonight?" Her curiosity prompted her to ask her father.
"Connor mentioned something about a movie night with his friends," her dad replied, a hint of amusement in his tone. "I think they're planning to binge-watch some action films and order pizza."
"Sounds like a fun night!" she exclaimed, her excitement bubbling over. "I wish I could join them!"
"I know, sweetie. Maybe you can join them when you come home to visit. I'm sure your brother would love that very much. He spoke with love in his voice.
"I'll definitely do that. I miss you guys so much." The burden of missing her family weighed heavily on her.
"We miss you too, sweetie. But we all know that you're doing excellent work out there. So focus on that and know that we all love you very much." He spoke with a proud tone.
She smiled, feeling warmth spread through her at his words. "Thank you, that means a lot to me," she replied, her heart swelling with gratitude.
"Of course. I will always have your back, sweetheart. No matter what." Her father spoke with love in his voice.
"Thank you." Her voice was filled with gratitude.
Lyanna noticed what time it was on the clock and realized she needed to get ready for her evening plans. "I should probably start getting ready," she said, reluctantly breaking the moment but still feeling buoyed by her father's support.
Her father was excited for her and said, "Of course, sweetie. You have a wonderful time tonight at the young adults party at the winery."
Lyanna smiled, her heart fluttering at the thought of the party. "Thanks, Dad! I can't wait to meet new people," she replied with excitement in her voice.
"Just remember to be safe and let me know when you get there," he added, his voice laced with concern.
"I will, Dad! I promise," Lyanna replied, her smile evident even through the phone.
"I love you, my honey. Have fun." Her father said those words in a playful manner.
She smiled at her father when he said, "I love you," and then she replied, "I will, and I love you too, Dad." Bye."
As she ended the call, Lyanna felt a mix of anticipation and nervousness. She quickly checked her outfit in the mirror, adjusting her hair one last time before grabbing her purse and heading out the door, ready for an unforgettable night.
Lyanna entered the winery with excitement and nervousness throughout her entire body.
Lyanna then walked over to the bar to order herself a glass of wine.
The bartender approached her with authority in his step.
"Hi what can I get you this evening?" He said with a serious tone.
She looked at the different wine options, and then she said, "May I have a Chenin Blanc, please?"
The bartender nodded and began to pour her drink, the crisp aroma of the wine filling the air. As she waited for her drink, she scanned the room, taking in the cozy ambiance filled with laughter and loud music. She is excited about what the night will bring.
"Here you are, Mrs." He passes the glass of wine to Lyanna.
"Thank you," Lyanna replied with a smile, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. She took a sip, savoring the refreshing taste, and felt ready to dive into the night's festivities. Then she began to walk around and accidentally bumped into someone.
"I am so sorry. Are you alright?" Lyanna feels quite remorseful for accidentally colliding with the young lady in front of her.
"It's quite alright. Things happen. Hi, my name is Nayla O'Hara." She extends her hand to greet Lyanna.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Nayla. My name is Lyanna Asher." Shaking Nayla's hand in greeting.
Nayla realized this was her first time meeting Lyanna, and then she said, "Is today your first day working here, Lyanna?"
Lyanna said in a proud tone, "Yes, it is. I actually just started today. I work in the restoration department alongside Alexander and Angela."
"That's wonderful. Congratulations." Nayla said with a congratulatory voice.
Lyanna asked with a curious look, "Thank you. How long have you been working here, Nayla?"
Nayla smiled while looking at Lyanna, "I've been working here at Biltmore for about three years now."
"That's wonderful, Nayla." Said Lyanna with a sincere tone.
"Thank you." Nayla is grateful for Lyanna's compliment. "Do you want to hang out together for the rest of the evening?" Her tone is filled with curiosity.
"Sure, I would love to." Being caught off guard by Nayla's question.
"Awesome. Follow me; I'll introduce you to some of my friends." With a positive attitude.
Lyanna is thrilled about the offer. "Sure, I'm in. Let's go."
Lyanna and Nayla made their way through the crowd to find Nayla's group of friends.
