Chapter 3 - Chapter Three: Welcome to Biltmore Estate Part Three

Angela, with a serious expression, said, "His name was William George Vanderbilt. He was born on April 12, 1873. The estate welcomed him shortly after its completion.

"Is there anything else that we know about William?" Alexander expressed his curiosity.

"Sadly, no. But there are documents here. Hopefully, we will uncover additional details about William Vanderbilt. Angela spoke confidently.

"Let's hope that if we manage to find out more information about William Vanderbilt and his mother Natalia, it will change everything we currently understand about George Vanderbilt's family history." Alexander then added, "This would indeed change everything we know about George Vanderbilt's family history." Alexander spoke confidently.

Angela nodded her head in agreement, "Agree."

Lyanna nodded her head in agreement. "Agree. I wonder what he was like back in the day and what kind of man he was."

Lyanna began to think about what he was like. That takes us back to the 1907 Biltmore Estate.

William keeps himself busy by drawing sketches of the dreams he has every night. He has been recording his dreams for as long as he can recall.

Then Edith, his stepmother, entered the room to see how William was doing.

Edith said, looking at her stepson William with a worried expression on her face, "Will? Will, are you alright, son?"

"I'm alright, Mom. Just enjoying some time alone and doing some sketching." William spoke in a solemn tone.

Edith stepped closer, her brow furrowing with concern.

"You know you can talk to me if something's bothering you, right?" She spoke gently, hoping to encourage him to share his thoughts instead of remaining lost in his introspection.

"I know, Mom, and I appreciate you being worried about me. Do you remember me telling you about the dreams that I have every night?" He spoke with confidence in his voice.

"Of course, I remember, son. You dream of the same girl every single night. But she changes as you grow up." She spoke with a sincere tone in her voice.

"Yes, it's like she's becoming more beautiful every day. But for some reason I'm getting this strange feeling in my head." He gazes at his mother, a contemplative expression on his face.

Edith, smiling at her son with a motherly expression, asked, "What do you think it is, William?"

William, smiling at his mother with a sincere expression, "I feel like I'm going to be meeting this young lady from my dreams soon."

Edith raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Well, my dear, sometimes dreams have a way of guiding us to the people we're meant to meet. Are you ready for that possibility?"

William nodded thoughtfully, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "I think I am, Mom. I've been waiting for something special to happen, and maybe this is it."

He sensed a change in the atmosphere, as though the stars were lining up specifically for him. "I want to be open to whatever comes my way," he added, his heart racing at the thought of what lay ahead.

As he spoke, a sense of anticipation filled the room, mingling with the warmth of his mother's encouraging smile. "Just remember, William," she said softly, "whatever happens, you have the strength to embrace it."

William nodded, letting her words sink in as he took a deep breath. With renewed determination, he felt ready to face the unknown, knowing that his mother's unwavering support would always be by his side.

"Now I have another challenge ahead of me." He said with a nervous tone.

"And what's that, son?" She said with a curious tone.

"I'm worried that Father is going to try to force a marriage on me." He said with a solemn tone.

"I'm sure he's not going to do that to you." She spoke confidently.

"How do you know, Mother?" He said with a curious tone in his voice.

"The reason I say that, son, is because I know your father. He would never force a marriage on you." She spoke confidently.

"You think so?" He looked at her with a questioning expression on his face as he spoke.

"I know, so my sweet boy. Furthermore, I just have a feeling that we will be meeting that young lady soon." She spoke with determination in her voice.

"You think so, Mother?" William looked at his mother with a questioning look.

Edith looked at her son seriously and said, "I do." Now please keep in mind that dinner is in two hours, and I expect to be there."

William looked at his mother with confidence and said, "Don't worry, Mother, I'll be at dinner on time. You have my word."

Edith said with a loving tone, "I know you will, son. Love you."

William said with a sincere tone, "Love you. too, Mom.

Then Edith left the room and made her way towards the parlor.

Then we return to the present time. Biltmore Estate

As they carefully sifted through the papers, Lyanna's eyes widened at an old photograph tucked between the pages. "Look at this! It must be from the early days of the estate," she exclaimed, holding it up for Angela and Alexander to see.

Alexander looked at the old photo with wonderment and said, "I wonder who she is?"

Angela looked at the old photo with a curious look and said, "Do you think this might be an old photo of Natalia Vanderbilt?"

Lyanna looked at the old photo with a stern, thinking look and said, "It could be. However, the faded nature of the photo leaves me uncertain about its authenticity. But it could be her. Don't you agree, Alexander?"

Alexander looked at the old photo, agreed with Lyanna's assumption, and said, "It could be her." But I'll have it sent to a photo restoration facility to have the photo restored. That way we can find out if it's Lady Natalia Vanderbilt.

Lyanna nodded her head in agreement, "Agree."

Angela nodded her head in agreement, "Agree."

Then Alexander looked up at the clock and realized what time it was.

"Why don't we call it a day? How does that sound to everyone?" Alexander looked at Lyanna and Angela with a sincere look.

Angela said with an excited tone, "Sounds like a good plan to me."

Lyanna expressed her agreement with Angela by saying, "I agree with Angela." That sounds like a beneficial plan to me."

"Lyanna. Angela. Don't forget. There's a young adults party at the winery tonight. So don't be late." Alexander said to both Lyanna and Angela with a stern tone.

"I wouldn't miss it, Alexander. I will definitely be there." Said Lyanna with a confident tone.

Edith said with a confident tone, "Of course. I wouldn't miss it, Alexander."

"Excellent, I will see the both of you there." Said Alexander with a cheerful tone.

"Yes," said Lyanna in an agreeing tone.

"Yes," said Angela in an agreeing tone.

Then Alexander, Angela, and Lyanna left the chamber and made their way to the main level of the house.
