Kaelen's POV
I stormed through the long marble corridors of the packhouse, rage building with each step. Servants scattered like frightened mice as I passed, my fury radiating off me in palpable waves. My father's office door stood at the end of the hallway, a barrier between me and the answers I desperately needed.
Without knocking, I shoved the door open. It slammed against the wall with a satisfying crack.
My father barely glanced up from his desk. "I assume there's a reason for this dramatic entrance."
"Did you order the execution of Silas Moon?" The words burned in my throat.
Finally, he looked at me, his expression infuriatingly calm. "Yes."
One simple word. No hesitation. No remorse. My hands curled into fists at my sides.
"Why wasn't I told? We're the Alphas now. We had a right to know."
