Chapter 13 - Chapter 93: Sea God Issues a Divine Decree?

The Sea God was already kind enough to deliver this "Zhao Ling Diary Copy" to her, allowing her to learn that something had happened to Tang Chen. That was already the greatest favor the Sea God could offer her. How could she dare hope for more, like having the Sea God personally answer her questions?

If she wanted to find out what really happened, she needed to investigate who the diary's author was—perhaps she could learn something from them.

Her delicate brows furrowed slightly. She recalled that the author of this diary was currently meeting with Qian Daoliu, which meant that person must be in Spirit Hall City.

In other words, if she could rush to Spirit Hall City now, she might still have a chance to find the diary's author.

But the distance from Sea God Island to the Douluo Continent was considerable. Even at her full speed across the sea, it would take her several days.

And once on land, her speed would decrease. After all, the sea was her domain.

On land, she would need to ride a horse to conserve soul power, which would only extend the journey further. She feared that by the time she reached Spirit Hall City, Zhao Ling might have vanished.

Still, Bo Saixi was desperate to know—where exactly was Tang Chen now?

All she had said back then was: "Whichever of Tang Chen or Qian Daoliu becomes a god first, I'll marry him."

At the time she said it, Qian Daoliu had already become the Angel God's representative in the human world, meaning he had essentially lost the chance to become a god himself.

If Tang Chen hadn't been so stubborn—if he'd just been a little smarter—he would have understood that her heart had always belonged to him.

But Tang Chen was a completely clueless blockhead. He never understood what she truly meant and just left Sea God Island in search of an opportunity to become a god.

So many years had passed since they parted. Now, seeing Tang Chen's name mentioned in the diary—saying he'd been ambushed by the Rakshasa God and parasitized by some "Blood-Red Nine-Headed Bat King"…

Heaven knows how chaotic Bo Saixi's heart was at that moment—so chaotic she didn't even know what to do.

She mentally closed the "Zhao Ling Diary Copy," and in the next moment, a line of golden text appeared on the cover:

"First-tier reward: Lifespan +30 years, Aging speed -10%. Already unlocked, now granting…"

Moments later, that golden text transformed into shimmering light, which flowed from the cover and entered directly into the center of Bo Saixi's forehead.

Immediately, she felt a warm current surge from her brow throughout her body, cleansing her entire being.

Soon, she felt as if her body had returned to its twenty-year-old prime. Her energy and spirit were noticeably better.

This transformation shocked Bo Saixi. Normally, only Titled Douluo-level powerhouses could increase their lifespan.

Upon reaching the rank of Titled Douluo, humans could live up to 300 years. Each additional rank increased their lifespan by 100 years. At rank 99, she could theoretically live to around 1,000.

Yet this strange diary copy had somehow extended her life by 30 years and slowed her aging. It was simply unbelievable.

But now wasn't the time to dwell on that. She still needed to decide whether to go seek out that mysterious Zhao person.

After thinking for over ten minutes, Bo Saixi finally made up her mind: she would go to Spirit Hall City.

Originally, as the High Priestess of Sea God Island, she was not supposed to leave so easily—she had her people to protect.

If she left and sea beasts attacked, it could bring great danger to the islanders.

But Bo Saixi couldn't care about that anymore. Now that she knew Tang Chen had been ambushed and parasitized by the Blood-Red Nine-Headed Bat King, she couldn't just sit by and do nothing.

Besides, hadn't the Sea God personally delivered the "Zhao Ling Diary Copy" to her? Wasn't that a divine sign that she should go save Tang Chen?

With this thought in mind, Bo Saixi summoned the Seven Sacred Pillars and gave them detailed instructions to protect the people of Sea God Island in her absence.

The Seven Sacred Pillars looked stunned—what was going on? The High Priestess telling them to protect the people, while she herself left the island?

Was this a joke? The High Priestess was the Sea God's representative on the Douluo Continent—yet she was leaving the island by herself?

Seeing their confusion, Bo Saixi sighed lightly, her beautiful eyes sweeping over them before she explained:

"Just now, I received a divine decree from the Sea God. I must go to the mainland. I'm not sure how long I'll be gone, but I'll return after I've resolved the matter.

If anything major happens, the seven of you must work together to handle it. Understood?"

Upon hearing that the Sea God had issued a divine command, the Seven Sacred Pillars suddenly understood.

No wonder the High Priestess was in such a hurry to leave—if not for a divine decree, she would never abandon Sea God Island.

And so, Bo Saixi set off alone for the mainland. As the Sea God's representative, she traveled across the ocean with ease, no need for a ship. Her speed was phenomenal. Soon, she had disappeared from the sight of the Seven Sacred Pillars…

Back in Spirit Hall City, after Zhao Ling finished his conversation with Qian Daoliu and Qian Xunji, he walked out of the Pope's Hall.

Outside, Bibi Dong was pacing back and forth. When she saw Zhao Ling come out, her eyes lit up, and she rushed straight into his arms.

Zhao Ling embraced her tightly and kissed her forehead: "Dong'er, your teacher said he's picking a date for our engagement. Hehe, you'll soon be mine."

Bibi Dong smiled gently and stood on tiptoe to kiss his lips: "Husband, to become yours is my greatest wish…"

Before, Ah Yin had tried several times to get Bibi Dong to call Zhao Ling "husband," but she always refused. She didn't want to appear too intimate with Zhao Ling without her teacher's approval—it might cause trouble.

But now, Zhao Ling had officially received her teacher's blessing, and the engagement was confirmed. With things settled, calling Zhao Ling "husband" no longer felt awkward.

"So… Dong'er my wife, does this mean we can finally…" Zhao Ling gave her a mischievous look, his eyes roving up and down, making Bibi Dong shyly roll her eyes before pressing her cheek against his chest.

"If you don't answer, I'll take it as a yes." Zhao Ling grinned and tried to sweep her off her feet, but Bibi Dong quickly stopped him.

"Bad husband, can you act normal? It's the middle of the day—what are you trying to do? Come on, I'll take you around Spirit Hall City and we'll buy something nice for Ah Yin."

"Ugh…" Zhao Ling made a bitter face. What stroll? With a gorgeous beauty like Bibi Dong by his side, who had the mood for shopping?

But Bibi Dong ignored him and, hooking her arm through his, pulled him away from the Pope's Hall and into the bustling streets.
