Chapter 12 - chapter 11-The plan in motion

Next morning:

The morning sun had barely risen when Jimin found himself in a sleek, high-rise building—one of many Ms. Hae owned in the city. He was dressed in a tailored suit, a far cry from his usual style, but it was the perfect disguise. He had to look the part if he was going to get close to her.

Jungkook was beside him, acting as his backup. Jungkook's style is sharp, polished, and effortlessly cool. Picture him in tailored suits that fit him perfectly—dark colors like deep navy, charcoal, or classic black, paired with a crisp white shirt. His look is elevated with sleek leather shoes and subtle accessories, like a silver watch or a simple tie clip. He might occasionally mix in a high-end, minimalist jacket or a fitted blazer over a simple T-shirt for a more casual yet stylish vibe. His hair is always neat, styled with just enough volume to look effortlessly chic. Every detail reflects his meticulous, no-nonsense attitude, but with an underlying coolness that makes him stand out.

(Ok let's consentrate §∆§)

So the plan was simple: They had intel that Ms. Hae was holding a private meeting with several investors today, and Jimin was going to be one of them. A meeting with her would give him the chance to understand her—see if she was truly as untouchable as everyone said.

"Just follow my lead," Jungkook murmured as they stepped into the elevator. "Keep it cool. You'll be fine." jimin just hum and silently nodded .

The soft hum of the elevator was drowned out by the racing thoughts in Jimin's mind. It had been three meetings already. Three. Each time, Ms. Hae had pulled him deeper into her world, each encounter a calculated move, pulling him closer to something darker, something he didn't know if he could escape.

Today felt different. The weight of the contract he'd signed a week ago was heavier than ever. He could still feel the cold edge of the pen as it had scraped against the paper, the final signature sealing away his property in exchange for access to the wealth and influence that Ms. Hae promised. A move he'd made out of desperation, believing it was the only way to protect his future but it turned out total mess.

Jimin glanced at Jungkook, who was standing next to him, his expression unreadable. He couldn't help but feel a bit of anxiety bubbling up inside him.

"You good?" Jungkook asked quietly, his eyes briefly meeting Jimin's.

Jimin nodded, though his mind was spinning. "I think so. Just... feels too surreal."

Jungkook's lips quirked into a small smile. "It's gonna be fine. We've got this." He leaned in just a little, his voice lowering even further. "And hey… remember, you're not alone. I'm right here with you."

Jimin's chest tightened at the sincerity in Jungkook's voice. There was a warmth there, something that grounded him in the midst of everything chaotic around them. Jimin hadn't realized just how much he relied on Jungkook's presence, but the reassurance was enough to steady his nerves.

"Thanks," Jimin said softly, his gaze meeting Jungkook's for a fleeting moment.

Jungkook's hand brushed against his briefly as they both adjusted their suits. A small gesture, but it lingered longer than it should have, and for a split second, Jimin felt something shift. Something unspoken, something electric that passed between them like a current.

Before he could think too much about it, the elevator doors opened, and the moment was gone.

The doors to the lavish conference room slid open, revealing a sleek, minimalist space with polished wood floors and large windows that offered a breathtaking view of the city below. At the far end of the room, Ms. Hae stood at the head of the table, her presence commanding the room as usual. She wore her confidence like a second skin, every inch of her radiating power and control. The last time they met, her gaze had pierced through him, like she could see everything he was trying to hide. He hadn't been able to shake the feeling that she was always one step ahead.

"Mr. Park," —Her sharp eyes flicked over Jimin and Jungkook as they entered, her gaze assessing, calculating. "Ohh, Mr. Jeon also joining us today".

"Nice to meet you Mr. Jeon" . jimin notice Ms. Hae's voice was smooth, like silk, yet there was a steel edge to it that made Jimin's stomach knot. "I'm pleased you both join us today."

Jungkook nodded, offering a fake polite smile as they handshake their hands. Her handshake was firm, almost like a challenge. Her eyes never left his as they exchanged the brief formality.

"Shall we begin?" she asked, gesturing toward the sleek glass table where a group of well-dressed investors were already seated. Jimin and Jungkook took their places at the table, Jimin's pulse thudding in his ears as he glanced around at the faces of the others in the room. They were all powerful people, the kind who could make or break entire economies with a single decision.

Ms. Hae took her seat at the head of the table, and for a moment, Jimin couldn't shake the feeling that she was a queen holding court. She wasn't just any businesswoman—she was a master manipulator, a strategist who had managed to stay one step ahead of everyone else.

Jimin glanced at Jungkook, who was seated beside him ,Their eyes met for a moment, and Jimin gave him a small, barely noticeable nod—just enough to say, I'm okay, I can do this.

He turned his attention back to Ms. Hae, who had begun speaking. Her voice was mesmerizing, calm, and composed as she detailed the deals that were being presented.

But Jimin couldn't shake the unease that settled in his chest. Every word she spoke was calculated, every movement purposeful. She was testing them, watching them. He could feel her eyes on him as if she knew exactly what he was thinking.

Meanwhile, back at the base, Taehyung, Yoongi, Hoseok, and Yuna were hard at work. The digital world was moving fast, and every moment was crucial. Hoseok and Yoongi were deep into the security systems, while Yuna meticulously scanned Ms. Hae's financial records for any possible inconsistencies.

"This is it," Yoongi muttered, his eyes flicking to one of the monitors. "We're in. We just need to extract the data before she realizes."

Taehyung stood by, watching the screens intently. "Keep it tight. We can't afford to make any noise right now. Ms. Hae will be expecting us to be slow... but we can't let her get suspicious."
