I walk over to the cafeteria with Raven by my side, my eyes looking around for Jason, but I don't see him anywhere and I can't help but be worried.
We make our way to our table, and that's when Jason storms into the cafeteria with Reed, both guys looking pissed and both guys storming over to our table. It's normal for Jason to walk over here, but why is Reed with him.
They reach our table and reed looks at me with a frown on his face as he glares at me, and I glare back at him not wanting to look intimidated. I look over at Jason and he looks at me and I give him a look, silently begging him to not do what he is about to do.
"This is my friend Kimberly, Jason says gesturing towards me, making me roll my eyes, as I try not to look in his direction. " And right before lunch I heard you guys bumped into each other, and you hurt her."
" I did what??Oh now she's spreading lies." Reed says, "listen,"he says getting to Jason " this Stubborn bird bumped into me and didn't want to apologize even when I asked her too. And now she is telling everyone I hurt her?
"I gasp, who are you calling a stubborn bird, and FYI, you did hurt me."
He chuckles. " It's like your mistaking me for someone, either that or something is wrong with your brain. I don't hurt girls and second you bumped into me and didn't want to apologize , so how the hell did I hurt you.
"You keep saying you don't hurt girls, so what the hell is this?" I say pointing to my bandaged wrist. Remember when I told you to let go off my wrist , well this is what it lead too!! He looks shocked and confused , as he looks at my wrist and back to my face. "I didn't do that" he says, his voice faltering.
"Yes Reed you did, Come on just apologize." Jason says.
"He scoffs," No way I'm I apologizing to her". He says turning around and ignoring us as he walks over to his table. I give Jason a " I told you so " look, because I did tell him so, well with my eyes, but he got the message and didn't listen.
" Next time, just let it go" I say before putting my attention back to my burger.
" I'm sorry Kim, I just wanted him to apologize." He says.
"I Know, I Know, thank you for that, but when I say let it go, please.....just let it go." I say to him and he doesn't argue, and just takes a sit next to me.
The rest of the day goes on uneventful and boring...Thank God for that.
The bell goes off and school is finally over, bringing the first day of Senior year to an end. For so many reasons I am soo relieved. I'm out of class and make my way over to my locker where I expect Raven and Jason to be waiting, but when I get there I don't see Jason , only Raven.
"Hey Rav, Where's Jason" I ask and she just looks at me with hesitation like she doesn't want to say.
" Um .....he left" she says and I'm shocked cuz he never leaves without us especially me, I start thinking of what would have made him leave so quickly, until Raven completes her sentence.
" With Daniella" she says.
And just then I feel so pained, It hurts too much thinking of them together." Oh I see,... um that's nice, we should get going then." I say as we make our way out of school.
" Come on, I'll give you a ride, we can even stop at the diner and get dinner or maybe I can show you my skills in the kitchen." Raven says , trying to make me laugh . She wiggles her brows which causes me to laugh.
" Sounds good to me."
After what feels like Thirty minutes , I'm back home and of course Raven is with me, and mom isn't around, she hardly ever is. She works as a nurse at the towns biggest hospital, trying her best to provide for the both of us and I know it isn't easy but she makes it seem so flawless.
We make our way upstairs into my bedroom, and Raven pounces on my bed, with how comfortable she is, you would think she lives in the house and not me. I take a quick shower changing into a black jean short and little crop top. We make little conversations about how the day went and Raven immediately remembers she was supposed to cook me something delicious.
She drags me back down the stairs and into the kitchen, I take a seat behind the kitchen isle and she proceeds to open up the almost empty fridge. She stares at the fridge for more than a minute before she looks back to me and raises a brow and I just can't help but laugh.
" I forgot the fridge was almost empty" I say trying not to laugh."
" Yeah no shit, Pizza it is" She says pulling out her phone which causes me to laugh out loud.
"OK, it should be here in less that Fifteen minutes " She tells me , and in less that Ten minutes our pizza arrived.
We ate and spent the remaining time watching a couple movies. I glanced at the time and it was already six pm. " Rav ,shouldn't you be getting back , I don't want your parents freaking out " I say.
" Oh I see, my company is not appreciated and someone is trying to throw me out of her house." She says with a playful grin.
" O come on, you know that's not true, You should really start heading back."
"Okay Okay" She says as she picks up her bag , and puts her shirt and shoes back on." "I guess I'm ready" she says making me stand up from the bed and walk her down the stairs.
She stops at the kitchen , opening up the fridge and pulls out a bottle of water." Why don't you stop by the mart and get some stuff that can last you maybe a week, I wouldn't want you to starve." she says which causes me to roll my eyes." Come on I can drop you off, but you'd have to walk back though." She says.
"Okay head to the car let me pick up my phone" I say not waiting for her to answer before I quickly make my way up the stairs, grabbing my phone and a hoodie and I can already hear the loud honking sound coming from downstairs.
I run back down the stairs, grabbing my keys form the counter, out of the house and I lock the door behind me, I notice that the sky is already a dark shade of blue.
"Can you be any more impatient I say as I walk over to her mustang." Get in, loser." She says which makes me roll my eyes at her.
The drive down to the mart doesn't take more than Five minutes. Raven stops right in front waiting for me to get off. I get off and turn around waving at her as she drives off.
My hoodie is pulled up over my head when I get in, and the mart is really scanty, looking around I don't see more than Ten people. I quickly pick up a few things and head over to the register.
The moment I approached the register the girl sitting behind ,looks me up and down before pulling at my items and scanning them with unnecessary aggression, but I'm not fazed because this isn't the first time the girl known as Sharon is being unnecessarily rude to me."That will be Twenty Nine five", she says and I hand her my card, she clicks it and hands it over to me before putting my items in a white bag and handing it to me.
I head over to the exit and the glass door slides open ,allowing me to walk out as the cool evening air hits me a the same time pulling my hoodie down. Just then the sight of a black modeled Kia Sorento catches my eye and my stomach immediately drops ,because I know just one person who drives that car and I sure as hell don't want to stick around to see him.
I tightened my grip on my plastic bag , walking back to my house, it took about Four minutes to get here with a car , so it would take me around Ten minutes to get back, I did the calculation as I made my way back.
It didn't take that long and I could already see my house from the distance, I breath a sigh of relief and just then from the corner of my eye, I see the same car driving besides me and just as I turned to look. I could see the driver looking back at me, we had made eye contact , I quickly looked away increasing my steps trying to get inside my home before he packs his car.
I had reached my front door , the same time the car had packed. I unlocked the door and was about stepping inside when I heard my name been called out.
" Kimberly " I turned around to see Reed walking towards me.
