The sun began to rise above the horizon, its gentle golden rays spreading across the vast land. Its warmth touched everything in its path, and part of it fell upon the still figure of a small infant clad in pure white garments. He appeared to have grown to about one year old. A gentle breeze carried grains of sand drifting naturally through the air. Amidst the tranquil serenity of dawn, a pair of eyes slowly opened, revealing a depth far beyond what was fitting for someone so young. Those eyes were filled with calm, like the surface of a lake under moonlight, yet concealed an unfathomable power within.
He slowly swept his gaze around. His small body stirred silently before he stood up gracefully. Though still young, his back was straight, like a sovereign king awakening from slumber. The three older children remained asleep, unaware of anything. He only glanced at them briefly before gradually walking away.
His small figure slowly rose from the ground, his white cloak fluttering with the wind, yet it did nothing to conceal the aura of power radiating from his body. He continued floating higher and higher, ascending into the vast sky.
Then suddenly
A brilliant blue light burst from his body like a divine lightning bolt erupting from the center of all things. The power surged through the sky above before descending downward, burying itself deep beneath the endless sands below.
BOOM!!!
An immense tremor erupted from where he stood. The ground shook violently as if the earth itself would collapse. The wind roared like a furious storm, stirring a blinding cloud of dust and sand. The once-bright sky darkened. Shadows spread across the land, intertwined with flashes of blue lightning resembling divine fury. The sky could no longer retain its former state.
Amidst the tempest of raging power, the child's figure remained suspended in midair. His black hair fluttered, his eyes cold and emotionless, yet filled with profound power that transcended human boundaries. With just one breath, all things trembled and stirred.
He was no longer an ordinary infant…
The sun still hovered above the horizon, yet now, its rays could no longer outshine the glorious radiance emanating from the child. Thunder boomed across the heavens. Deep blue lightning flashed in all directions. Strands of overwhelming energy surged and spread across the sky, encircling the heavens and earth like chains of divine judgment.
The power was too great for nature to withstand. The surrounding space trembled violently before tearing apart like fabric being ripped asunder. At the same time, the fabric of reality cracked and splintered as if the very laws of existence recoiled in fear from the unstoppable force.
CRACK!
A lightning bolt struck the desert floor. The impact echoed thunderously as the sand exploded into fine particles, sucked into the immense currents sweeping across the land. Waves of violent energy spread outward in a massive radius. Sand and shattered rocks scattered like the birth of a catastrophe.
The sky split in two. Above was endless darkness, as though the entire universe was collapsing into an eternal void. And at the center of this cataclysm stood the child, suspended in air, his gaze deep and frigid, untouched by fear, radiating divine authority.
In the blink of an eye, the infant's body transformed into that of a five-year-old boy. His once-black hair turned snow-white, tied in a knot on top, with the rest flowing down his back. His slender figure stood refined, and his blue eyes shimmered with dazzling brilliance as if starlight danced within them.
His face was so impossibly handsome it defied description. Every feature flawless, his skin as delicate as if sculpted by the hand of a mighty god. Each contour of his face was exquisitely refined beyond words. Not even the most perfect portrait could match his appearance. No man in any world or universe could compare. His beauty surpassed all that had ever existed. Even the most ideal figures of imagination could not rival him in the slightest.
He took a soft breath, as if allowing everything around him to settle with his breathing rhythm. Instantly, the overwhelming tremors faded into nothingness. Then, a radiant light enveloped his form, transforming his attire into a pristine white robe laced with pale blue, making him appear even more radiant. With a simple flick of his sleeve, an awe-inspiring wave of power surged forward. The resulting shockwave shattered several sand dunes as if nothing could resist its force!
'It seems the time has come for me to learn about all things… But it appears I already know quite a bit.'
He glanced downward. His gaze paused upon a young girl with golden hair swaying in the wind, and light blue eyes that sparkled like gems of the sky. She looked beautiful, though her expression revealed some confusion. It seemed she had just awoken in panic, realizing he was no longer by her side. Her eyes darted around before she instinctively began searching for him unaware that his eyes had never left her.
Though strange phenomena had just occurred, she showed no fear. The only thing she cared about… was finding him.
He gazed at her calmly, expressionless, with only quiet depth in his eyes. Yet deep inside, he remembered her clearly. Though his body had matured rapidly, his memories as an infant had never faded. Every detail of her her golden hair, her soft blue eyes remained vividly etched into his mind.
But right now… she was not his priority.
He turned his face away and began walking gently through the air, weightless. But before he could go far, a sudden thought struck him like lightning flashing across his mind…
'Bai Wangyan' the voice of a young man in his memory echoed faintly.
'Bai Wangyan… is that my name?' he pondered, recalling only the man's words, nothing else. He looked down curiously at the bracelet around his wrist.
'This bracelet… when did I start wearing it?'
He frowned slightly in confusion, but before he could ponder further, a voice called out from below, instantly shattering his thoughts.
"Where did you go?!" Xin Tingting shouted, frantic and pale, her eyes darting wildly. She moved quickly, glancing around in panic. Her heavy breathing betrayed her alarm. Had the infant been harmed!?
Bai Wangyan looked down toward the source of the voice. His expression remained indifferent. If he were to leave without bidding farewell to the one who had saved his life… that would seem too heartless. He let out a soft sigh and teleported down to the sand. His feet touched the ground silently, and his tall figure appeared before Xin Tingting. His eyes were cold, devoid of warmth. It seemed she had almost become his first victim if not for the fact that she once saved him… she likely wouldn't be standing here now.
He stared at her silently, his eyes as deep as moonlit waters cold, still, revealing nothing. But who could know what secrets lay within?
"Who… are you?" Xin Tingting asked in confusion as she noticed him appear from above. But when she saw his breathtaking face and perfect form, her eyes widened in shock. In that moment, her breath and heartbeat seemed to freeze.
She stared at him, unblinking…
"You… you're too handsome…" she stammered in a high-pitched voice, then slowly closed her eyes and fainted on the spot!!
"Xin Tingting! Are you okay?!" Ye Juan rushed over to catch her falling form. But the moment she looked up and saw the white-haired youth standing before her, her face froze in utter disbelief unable to comprehend that anyone could be this handsome!! And before she could say a word, she too fainted.
"Ye Juan! Did you find Xin Tingting? Once we do, we can keep searching for the infant," Lan Chanzhun approached with heavy steps. He observed the situation and slowly widened his eyes in contemplation.
"What's going on?! Who are you?! Did you hurt them?!" he shouted angrily, looking at the white-haired youth. He blinked in disbelief. Was this even a real person? Not even the best artists could paint such a face!
"You… how dare you be more handsome than me?! I refuse to accept it!" Lan Chanzhun raised a hand and pointed at Bai Wangyan.
Bai Wangyan remained calm and silent. He didn't care about the nonsense Lan Chanzhun and Ye Juan had just said. With a swift flick of his hand, a flash of glowing blue light sent Lan Chanzhun flying into the distance. He was about to unleash more power when a figure suddenly darted forward and deflected his palm.
"Bai Wangyan, don't be so quick to harm him. He is not your enemy."
Lian Yi stepped in calmly, her black hair tinged with crimson at the ends flowing behind her, and her face beautiful like a dream beyond reality.
Bai Wangyan only glanced at her from the corner of his eye, but inwardly he was full of questions. How did she know his name? Yet from the strength she had shown just now in deflecting his blow, she clearly possessed a power equal to his. He withdrew his hand, now staring at Lian Yi with newfound curiosity.
