Adversary (2)
"You listen to your mother, Liang Yi…"
Her voice became incomparably harsh, but beneath her determination was a deep pain in her heart.
"I know… that we can't escape him… but if I can buy some time, you and your brother… might have a chance!"
She paused for a moment, her breath shaking with emotion, before she shouted again, resolutely.
"Therefore, hurry up! Go as far away as you can! And remember... never look back!"
The young woman's eyes were as hard as steel, staring deep into the eyes of her daughter who was still hesitating and not moving.
The wind blew violently through their hair, the shadow of danger was approaching every moment, but even under the enormous pressure, she still stood like a mountain. The eyes that were once gentle, were now so strong that even tears did not dare to fall, to protect her child for the last time.
"No! Mother, I won't go. If I go, I have to take you with me!"
The girl let out a trembling voice in despair. A small hand reached out and grabbed the hem of her mother's skirt tightly, as if she was afraid that she would lose it forever.
Those big, pink, radiant eyes, like precious gems, began to tremble before pure, clear tears flowed down her soft cheeks. Soft sobs were mixed with her erratic breathing.
When the mother saw this, her eyes widened slightly in shock, before she slowly knelt down in front of her daughter, and stretched out her slender, jade-like fingers to gently wipe away the tears that were soaking her daughter's face. "Liang Yi… Don't cry…"
Her voice was as gentle as the spring breeze. She stared into her daughter's eyes for a long moment before slowly opening her mouth to smile gently, as if to convey that everything would pass, even though her heart was crying out for help.
"Mom, can you come with us…?" The girl said in a soft voice, like a faint breath at the end of her voice. Her large round eyes shone with a dim light, filled with sadness and sorrow, as if her small heart was being squeezed until it almost broke.
The young woman paused for a moment before replying in a tone that tried to control the fatigue in her heart. "Lee Yi… Mother can't go with you and your younger brother… Did you listen to what Mother just said? Why don't you understand…"
Suddenly, the girl in front of her immediately interrupted with a trembling voice. "I understand… but… I just don't want Mother to leave… Mother… please go with me and my younger brother. I beg you…"
The young woman pursed her lips tightly, the trembling in her eyes flashed with bitter pain, before she let out a loud scream. "Mom said to hurry up! Hurry up and go now!"
Her shout was harsh, but there was a deep pain in her voice… In truth, she wasn't angry at her children at all, but she knew that if she didn't make up her mind right now, she might not be able to let her two children survive.
So she had to use this method… to push her own heart to the back and be willing to be at the forefront of her fate.
"Liang Yi… Since you're stubborn and won't go… then I'll be the one to send you." The young woman spoke calmly, but her voice trembled slightly. She looked down at her daughter who was still hugging her younger brother tightly. She continued speaking with determination and love from the bottom of her heart.
"Please take good care of your little brother…" She slowly stood up amidst the sky filled with countless stars, twinkling around her, in front of her, behind her, and on her sides. The faint moonlight bathed her pale skin like a painting.
Her fair left palm slowly extended out, and a pure white light gently emitted. The light was dazzling and bright, and it shot towards the body of the girl with red hair that looked like flames.
As soon as the light touched the girl's body, a white light spread out and covered her and her younger brother body, slowly lifting their bodies into the air, slowly moving away like stars drifting out of sight.
The young woman took a slow breath, her chest tightening as if something was squeezing her heart. A sharp pain shot through her chest as if it was being stabbed by a knife. She watched the bodies of her two children drift away little by little, with nothing holding them back.
But even though her eyes were blurred by the tears that were welling up in her eyes, the faint smile on her lips remained… because at least her two children… still had a chance to survive.
But before long, a middle-aged man appeared. His long, straight black hair covered the nape of his neck. His skin was milky white. His face had a thick beard. He wore strange yellow and black clothing.
As soon as he appeared, the atmosphere outside the universe, which was filled with brilliant stars and strange lights, violently shook. The nearby vast universe shook violently before it shattered into pieces, scattering as if it had been crushed into almost nothing.
"Beauty… It's been a long time since we last saw each other. You're still as beautiful as ever." Hua Shan sneered, a smirk on the corner of his mouth, revealing a few white teeth, before glancing at the glowing white light that was sending the bodies of the young girl and the baby flying away.
As soon as he swept his gaze, the light suddenly stopped. The figures of the two children turned around and rushed back towards Hua Shan in the blink of an eye.
The young woman quickly turned in the direction of her two children before her gaze stopped on the man in front of her. Hua Shan, her only opponent
"Release my children now! What do you plan to do to them?!" The young woman shouted in panic, her face shaking with fury.
"Whatever I do to your daughter and son… You have no choice but to resist me. It's useless to be upset or anything!" Hua Shan said coldly.
Before he could blink, a murky purple light suddenly appeared, snaking straight into the tiny, young baby's body.
The light flickered down below. Where tens of thousands of universes existed, an innocent baby suddenly fell into disaster, disappearing into a universe without any prediction. Will he survive safely... or become nothing but a broken piece of debris on the ground below?
