Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

Enemy🌿 (1)

"Liang Yi… hurry up and take her younger brother away! Hua Shan is approaching!"

Her voice resounded throughout the void where even time had no power to move.

A young woman with long, white hair, like a star without origin, her face was incomparably beautiful, like the imagination of a god who created her. She wore a light blue half-veil and several layers of thin, overlapping white-blue clothes like a heavenly mist. The patterns on the cloth shimmered like petals from an unnamed dimension.

Her eyes were filled with concern and fear. Her face was pale, but still beautiful. Her right palm held a baby less than a month old in her arms, her left palm held the small hand of her five-year-old daughter tightly.

Around them, it was an outer space, a place without stars, no timeline, not even the laws of matter. There was only a multi-colored light floating freely, like fragments of an incomplete imagination, glittering in the endless void.

"Mother… I won't go. I don't want to leave you here."

The girl's voice was as soft as the first wind of dawn, her trembling eyes gleaming with sadness.

Her delicate and slender body was like a beautiful flower that had just bloomed amidst the morning light, emitting a radiant aura as if it had been born from the spark of a miracle.

Her pink eyes, like rare gems, moved hesitantly and fearfully, while her long, jet-black hair swayed in the directionless wind, the tips of her hair tinged with a faint red like a flame reflecting the faint light around her body, looking like the last warmth before everything went out.

She slowly raised her head, glancing at her mother standing beside her, before pursed her rose-red lips that had a faint, shiny sheen.

"Liang Yi, listen to me! Quickly take your little brother out of here. I will stall him for time… so that he won't catch up with you and your little brother… Hurry up! Go!"

Her voice was firm and resolute, but it contained the love and fear that were clashing together in her heart.

She let go of the white palm that had been holding her little son in mourning, and used her two slender, gentle, and graceful hands to support the little baby from her warm and soft bosom.

Then... She stretched out her slender, fair-skinned arms, handing the small, innocent body of the baby to the delicate, cute girl standing beside her, trembling. The light reflecting off the baby's skin touched her fingertips as if to imprint it for the last time.

The girl quickly stretched out her small, slender hands to receive the fair-skinned baby and held it tightly in her delicate chest, before lowering her head to look at the small face that had its eyes closed innocently and silently.

Her eyes blurred for a moment, before looking up at the face of her mother, who was like the pillar of her life. The pink eyes reflected hesitation, confusion, and intense sadness.

"No! I absolutely will not go!" The young girl let out a shrill voice. "Why won't Mother go with me and my younger brother ter? Mother must go with us… If you don't go, I won't go anywhere either!"

She reached out one hand to grab the hem of the blue and white garment around her mother's waist tightly, and swung it slightly in a pleading manner, like a small flower that was struggling against the wind that was about to blow by uncontrollably.

"Liang Yi… Don't mind Mom. Hurry up and go!"

She said in a trembling but powerful voice, and used her white palm to lightly push her daughter's delicate back, forcing her to step forward amidst the emptiness outside the universe, filled with colorful galaxies that shone with indescribable beauty.

But behind her sweet, sharp eyes, there was a deep, dark curtain of sorrow...

Memories from a year ago flooded in continuously, when she had lost the man she loved the most, the beautiful husband who was deeply engraved in her heart, the man whose smile alone could make the whole world stop spinning in her eyes...

He… the unrivaled martial artist who once protected his family with his life, was swallowed up in the flames of death by the hands of the evil enemy, Hua Shan!

His name was a curse in her heart, the enemy who brought all the healing to her family, the emperor-level power controller with the power to control tens of millions of universes, the one who even the gods from the dimensions rarely mentioned his name without trembling.

The mother could not let such evil hunt the two children. She was willing to become the last shield, so that the family's only shred of hope could survive...

"No, mother… No matter what, I will never leave you!"

The young girl's voice was firm, but it was still filled with pleading and heartbreak. Her beautiful pink eyes, filled with panic and deep sadness, stared at her mother's face without moving. Her eyes were shaking, as if they were going to shed tears with every breath.

She could not accept it… She could not bear to see the image of a farewell approaching, without being able to do anything at all.

The mother slowly glanced at her daughter for a moment. Her eyes were filled with overwhelming love but also filled with indescribable pain. Her beautiful face was as pale as a lotus petal in the cold mist, reflecting exhaustion and the loss of hope. It was as if she was about to collapse in an instant.

The tremors in the air outside began to show signs of the approaching movement of a massive force. The force was so heavy that even the life force within the area trembled. The echoes of fear in her subconscious began to echo louder and louder.

Her heart felt like it would stop beating in fear...

If I am still here... If I fall here... How will they escape?

She was afraid that her incompetence would cause both her children, the growing Lie and the innocent baby, to lose their most precious possessions together. She was the mother... but she was powerless to protect her bloodline.

If she was killed here... Who would hold and care for her two hearts?

She bit her lip tightly, holding back tears, forcing herself to be strong even though inside she was so broken that she could barely stand. At that moment, everything around her seemed to be quiet, only the sound of her mother's heart beating with fear, love, and sacrifice echoed throughout her thoughts.

"Liang Yi…"

The mother's soft but warm voice rang out. She lowered her head and met her daughter's gaze with eyes filled with love from the bottom of her heart.

"I know… I know you're worried about me and don't want to leave me behind. But you have to understand, my child… Our enemies are not someone we can resist."

She paused for a moment, her eyes flickering with deep pain, and then she continued, resolute but filled with sadness.

"Hua Shan… He is the one who took your father away from us. He is our enemy… and he is too strong."

"At first, I hoped… I hoped to take you all far enough away, but the distance between us and him is less than I thought. And he, he is the one who holds the power of the Emperor of Ten Million Universes…"

Her voice gradually faded, as if it would be swallowed by the wind of fate into thin air.

The young woman let out a deep sigh. The sigh was heavy, as if it pulled her soul deeper into the depths of doom.

Her palms trembled slightly, even though she tried to hold them steady. Her pale, bloodless face made the pain in her eyes even more obvious. But it was not because of fear of death… but because of fear of seeing her two children taken away.

The mother's heart almost broke. She did not fear death at all. If she had to die alone, she would have accepted that fate easily. But if she had to see her child sacrificed at the same time, that was... a nightmare that she could not face.
