Chapter 4 - 3| Unspoken Heartbreak

Callie's POV:

It was almost the end of the school year, and there I was; with my 7 years old heart; standing with my eyes wide opened; staring so shockingly towards the boy I like; muttering the words my ears wanted to hear he most.

He said he likes me. Right?

I was ecstatic, I was floating, I was carried away, I was not even there anymore, I was gone, I was embarassed, I hated it, I hated it, I hated it. I wished for that whole minute to be erased in the record of history; to be erased in the mind who witnessed that day...

...

It took time to bury that time. I had switched classes since then and was living my life; going forward trying to forget that day; and it feels like that whole year of admiration was just a piecee of scratch on my clean computer paper. It did bother me a bit, but I learned to fix that scratch and moved on.

"It hurts"

Jaxon's POV:

"Wow, Jaxon! She's your crush?!"

"Who would've thought? It seemed like it was yesterday when you said she was the weirdest one in your life"

"I thought you hated her dude"

"So you liked 'the tomboy' after all that?!"

"You even told me not to like her, wow Jaxon!"

*Lub-Dub

My friends started to blabber everything in their minids out, we were left there standing, waiting when they'll stop; perhaps we were planning what to do or what to say to avoid being embarassed.

"Haha, hey what are you talking about? It's not like that" I said.

*Silence

She just left. She walked away, she didn't say anything; her expression didn't falter; but I can tell it wasn't the same at all.

...

Since then, I didn't see her anymore. I didn't try to put an effort to see her though, it's not like I was seriously into her, I didn't even know if I truly meant what I said that day. But, one thing's for sure 'fate' didn't even dare meddle between us anymore, it's as if "it" didn't really do anything and that all those times happened intentionally.

"Did it hurt her?"
