Chapter 21 - Chapter: 21, Unusual Occurrence

Chapter: 21, Unusual Occurrence

Hearing that voice, Dain opened his status window to see his level.

[STATUS WINDOW]

Name: Dainsleif

Race: Human (Imus)

Class: Dreamer (D-tier)

Level: 10 (0.00)

Strength: 9.

Agility: 15.

Mana: 7.

Intelligence: 30.

Stat Points: 27.

Seeing that he has already reached level 10 after killing nearly 100 giant rats, he was smiling. This might be the fastest level 10 he has reached in both lives. In the previous life, He didn't awaken mana before much later, so it took a month to reach level 10 with [Passive Exp].

Dain quickly shook the thought off and summoned some oil and match, he threw all the oil inside the pit and lit it in fire. Dain walked away as the fire burned the lifeless vessels of many disgusting rats.

He then began to walk towards the humanoid figure these rats were munching on.

On the site, Dain saw the mutilated and mostly eaten body of a figure that he currently recognized as a Goblin.

They were the race of monsters that lived on the 8th floor of this dungeon. There are mostly goblin tribes on the 8th floor with very few races that work as their food sources or stockpiles.

But Goblins don't really come up unless they are in a crisis. And since this Goblin is alone here means either its tribe members sent him to scout the area ahead or… this goblin is a deserter.

Deserters are mainly people or members of a community, village or something like that who abandon the community when it's facing a difficult crisis that is very hard to solve.

They are the people who are despised by the people of the community. If this goblin is actually a deserter then it would be a good thing, but if it's a scout…well, things will get difficult.

Dain slowly walked closer to the body and began to examine if it had anything that might provide a clue. After looking closely, he found something hidden in a pouch hanging on its back.

He opened the pouch to find a small green colored pendant that looked like a shark tooth. It has a strange and mystical feeling that Dain knew all too well. It was an Artifact. For Artifacts, Dain could summon their own information windows. After looking at this strange tooth-like pendant's description and effect, Dain couldn't help but smile happily.

[Goblin Kings Inheritance (1/5)] (A-rank):

Description: "The Inheritance left behind by a powerful Ancient Goblin. This inheritance longs to find someone to provide assistance."

Effect: 1.Mana Increase by 10

Strength Increased by 10 Agility Increased by 10

Requirements: level 10.

Seeing that lady luck was favoring him today, Dain happily wore it tightly on his wrist like a watch. He really didn't want this green thing to hang around his neck when it only looked cool on a goblins neck. Around his neck, it would only look like it doesn't belong.

Wrapping it tightly on his wrist, it actually looked great. The green tooth looked like an accessory. His stats also improved drastically. His Strength reached 19, Agility 25 and mana 17.

Suddenly, a question appeared in his mind. 'Why is a level 10 artifact on the 8th floor when Artifacts have a drop rate only on the 19th floor?'

It was strange. He knew that there was a goblin tribe on the 18th floor but it was impossible for a goblin to come down to the 6th floor and die by mere rats. The monsters on the 18th floor were mostly of higher levels, some even reaching level 35.

But how could there be an Artifact from such a high floor and its requirements are this low? It doesn't even make sense.

Suddenly, a loud cry of a rat distracted him from his thoughts. Dain hurried towards the place where that sound came from.

When he reached near the place, another loud cry reverberated within the cave walls. Dain quickly looked inside a corner room that looked like a boss room. Inside the room, there was a Large Rat at the size of 3 feet, fighting against three same sized green figures.

The giant rat was on the brink of death when the other three goblins stopped their attack and made way for the fourth goblin that seemed to be female, looking at her way of clothes.

They all let out some weird noises that Dain knew as the goblin language. They were talking about something but he couldn't understand them.

Dain found it strange that goblins are so human-like. They were not like the regular goblins. Their physical shape was beautiful exactly like humans. The only thing that could tell them apart is their green skins, two big upper teeth and their slightly longer ears.

Dain recognized them since he had once seen goblins like them on the 18th floor in the previous life. They were High Goblin's. A tribe of goblins that was known for its similarity in appearance to humans.

Females from this tribe were often sold as slaves in the slave market. But they were quite rare. The members of this tribe often decide to kill their female members rather than let them be captured by humans.

They were also mostly intelligent and have many from their race become a top powerhouse in the outside world. Because of their intelligence, Dain knew he had to kill them.

They were clearly trying to level up by hunting in the lower floors. But he was sure that once they reach a certain level, they would try to leave the dungeon and go to the outside world. They would die eventually, so why does it have to be him who kills them?

It's also pretty obvious, because where he is hiding; he could see two of the male goblins wearing a green glove on their opposite hands. They had the other parts of the [Goblin Kings Inheritance] set and maybe the other two goblins also have the other two pieces.

Dain wanted to see just what effect this artifact set would give that he never saw before…
