On top of his head was a small baby beast — the same one that sometimes mocked and taunted enemies. To everyone, it looked like some kind of beast with a faint trace of dragon blood — maybe a Wyvern or something like that.
It wasn't unusual to have a beast like that. It was considered a kind of artifact or weapon. Among the Spiritual Guardians who had fewer rings — usually weaker in defense — lots of them had helpers like this to support them in battle.
Among all the Spiritual Guardians, probably a hundred had some kind of beast like that. Of course, nobody ever showed them off, since they were trump cards, last lines of defense. Supreme artifacts capable of hiding living beings inside were actually pretty common. Even Earth had two clans with something like this.
