Grime watched his soldiers start training harder, more focused than ever.
But then he barked at one for messing up a formation. "You idiot—!"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa," Mahishah interrupted, stepping between him and the soldier. "Don't go calling them idiots. That's the fastest way to lose their respect."
Grime grumbled but didn't argue.
"You want loyalty? Earn it," Mahishah added.
The toad soldiers glanced at each other, clearly listening to her more than before. A quiet shift had begun in the ranks. Grime might've been their leader, but Mahishah was quickly becoming the one they followed.
As the sun set over Toad Tower, an old stone carving on a hidden wall in the tower's depths began to glow faintly—written in an ancient Amphibian language:
"Time will tell when five legends will rise."
