"Is that... a dungeon? Seriously?"
Staring at the mossy cobblestone in front of him, Mo was clearly a bit surprised.
He had seen plenty of dungeons in the game before, but stumbling upon one just by digging randomly was still a rare experience.
Mo directed Steve to dig out the mossy stone. Peering inside, he found a very cramped, dimly lit space. In the center of the room, a monster spawner sat atop the ground, particle effects flickering as several zombies materialized out of thin air and began shambling about.
In one corner of the room, a wooden chest sat quietly.
As everyone knows, apart from Dark Souls players, no one can resist the temptation of opening a treasure chest in a game.
Mo was no exception.
If Steve were still naked and unarmed, Mo might have exercised more caution.
But now? Steve was fully geared up. In fact, back in the server, Mo would've dared to solo the Ender Dragon with this setup. Fighting a few zombies now would be no harder than slaughtering chickens or dogs.
Thinking this, Mo waved his hand decisively.
Steve, receiving the command, immediately smashed through the mossy cobblestone with his pickaxe. Then, wielding his iron sword, he turned into a blur of flashing steel, cutting down the zombies before they could even react, leaving behind only piles of rotten flesh.
After dealing with the zombies, Mo sealed off the monster spawner with torches and blocked the dungeon entrance. Only then did he swagger over and open the chest.
The loot inside was pretty ordinary: a few gold ingots and a basic golden apple.
And a very strange gold-covered book.
"Huh?"
Seeing the uniquely designed golden book, Mo frowned. "What's this?"
It was clearly not an enchanted book — enchanted books typically have a brownish cover with a soft purple glow. But this book's cover was pure gold.
Mo examined it closely and found that the item name was written in English: Marvel Comics. For some reason, the words felt oddly familiar to him, but unfortunately, Mo was terrible at English. Though the text looked familiar, he couldn't figure out what it meant.
One thing was certain: this book definitely came from some mod.
However...
How should he put it?
Mo honestly couldn't remember which mod it belonged to.
Following the simple philosophy of "If you don't know, just right-click it and see what happens," Mo ordered Steve to use the golden book.
What he didn't expect was that the moment the book opened, a torrent of black mist erupted from within, engulfing both Mo and Steve.
[Achievement Unlocked: One-Way Trip.]
As a cold, electronic voice rang out in his mind, Mo felt his vision plunge into darkness, his whole body overwhelmed by a sensation of rapid falling. But the strange feeling lasted only a few seconds before everything stabilized.
Opening his eyes, Mo realized he was now in a strange place.
It looked like a cave — dark, cramped, with piles of junk scattered across a nearby table. Not far away stood a heavy iron door. The air was thick with a foul, stifling stench.
Faced with this unfamiliar scene, Mo was clearly stunned.
This was Earth — there was no doubt about it. Even though he didn't recognize the place, everything here felt far more realistic than the Minecraft world: the rocky surfaces were irregular, not neatly arranged into 1x1 meter stone blocks.
"I actually made it back?"
Mo's heart surged with excitement. Though he didn't understand what had happened, he was ecstatic. He finally had a chance to see his family again.
But before he could celebrate, a commotion erupted outside. The heavy iron door was yanked open, and a group of armed men dragged two bloodied prisoners into the room. Spotting Mo inside, they all froze.
For a moment, both sides just stared at each other.
"$#*F(K)!?"
Before Mo could react, the group quickly raised their guns, shouting words he couldn't understand.
"Sh*t..."
Seeing the guns aimed at him, Mo instinctively panicked. As a modern-day person, the fear of firearms was deeply ingrained. Reflexively, he raised his hands.
"Uh, I… this… crap, brain, move! Think of something!"
[System Notification: Language Pack Mod Downloading.]
"What?"
Hearing the sudden mechanical voice in his head, Mo was momentarily stunned. But he didn't have time to process it — the armed men opened fire.
A gunshot rang out. Mo felt a tremendous force slam into his forehead.
The next second, he lost control of his body and fell backward.
"HAHAHAHA!"
The men erupted in cruel laughter upon seeing Mo collapse.
The two prisoners, however, looked devastated. One of them screamed repeatedly: "NO!" "You demons!!!"
"HAHAHA!!!"
The more the prisoners protested, the more these men seemed to revel in it, their faces twisted in mockery and delight.
But their laughter quickly turned to horror.
Because Mo's "corpse" started to move — slowly standing up again.
"Motherf***ers, you think I'm Kennedy or something?"
Mo straightened his body. A gaping bullet hole pierced through his forehead and out the back of his skull — yet he seemed completely unaffected, not even bleeding.
In fact, Mo truly wasn't hurt.
Even with his head blown open, he felt no pain whatsoever.
Instead, Steve had mysteriously lost half a heart.
And it was precisely Steve losing half a heart that snapped Mo out of his panic. He finally remembered who he was now.
A Stand user with a powerful Stand, why would he fear a bunch of ordinary gunmen?
Thinking this, Mo's expression grew icy.
If this were an anime scene, you'd probably see ominous purple flames roaring around him, backed by a heavy, oppressive soundtrack that screamed "final boss energy."
Like a ghost, Steve materialized behind Mo, his expressionless face adding to the chilling atmosphere.
Having personally witnessed the cruelty of this world, Mo's already weak moral compass shattered completely. The countless battles Steve had fought through in the game now bore deadly fruit — with a mere thought, Steve shot forward like a phantom, leaping toward the bearded leader.
The bearded man froze for a split second. Then, a thin red line appeared on his forehead and in the next moment, his body split cleanly in two, intestines spilling grotesquely onto the floor as the nauseating stench of blood filled the air.
"Ugh… AAAAAHHHH!!!"
Seeing their comrade butchered like that, the rest of the men shrieked in terror, wildly firing their guns at Mo.
But unlike last time,
This time, the bullets froze mid-air.
Steve held a massive shield, thick as a door, blocking every incoming bullet with ease.
Of course, Steve was merely a manifestation of Mo's willpower, invisible to normal people.
From the perspective of the armed men, it looked like Mo was somehow stopping bullets with magic.
"!?"
Seeing Mo defy bullets, the gunmen panicked even harder, frantically pulling their triggers until empty magazines clicked uselessly.
Squinting slightly, Mo had Steve swiftly place a few cobblestone blocks in front of him.
Bullets pinged harmlessly off the stone, sparks and stone chips flying everywhere.
Before long, their magazines were empty. Yet the gunmen continued desperately pulling their triggers, guns clicking dry.
Meanwhile, Steve coldly raised his steel longsword.
An invisible monster, one strike cleaving a man clean in half vertically, what could be more terrifying?
As Steve skewered another man with a diagonal slash, the rest finally broke, scrambling to flee in utter panic.
Mo didn't bother chasing them down.
Not because he suddenly found compassion —
but because, just then, the mechanical voice rang out again in his mind.

"Language Pack Mod?"
Hearing this, Mo paused. "What... would I even need a translation mod for in Minecraft? Unless... it can translate that golden book's English?"
[System Notification: Language Pack Mod Download Complete. Load now?]
The mechanical voice ignored his musings, simply repeating the message.
"Well… fine." After a moment's thought, Mo agreed. "Load it."

[System Notification: Because you downloaded and ran a new mod, you've been awarded a Lucky Block. This Lucky Block will randomly generate an item from any known mod.]
Along with the notification, Mo felt a sharp but subtle twinge in his mind, like something strange had embedded itself there. Simultaneously, Steve's inventory gained a new item — a rainbow-colored cube.
"A Lucky Block?"
Seeing the colorful block, Mo couldn't help but look surprised. Of course, he knew what a Lucky Block was, open it and you might get valuable loot.
But this particular block could even pull items from modded content... clearly, it had been heavily customized.
Now Mo was a little confused.
What exactly counted as a "known mod"?
Only the ones installed in his current modpack?
Or... any mod he had ever heard of?
"Hey, friend. How did you do that just now? Was it sorcery?"
As Mo was pondering this, a voice called out. Two cautious figures peeked out from a corner.
Mo instinctively turned to look, and the next second, he froze completely:
"Ir–IRON... IRONMAN?!"
