Chapter 21 - Chapter 61-65

Chapter 61: Searching for the Truth

After the first battle against the dark creatures, our mission became clearer. The Void posed a global threat, and our fight had only just begun. But we needed to learn more. Ariel had said that the temple to the east held the answers, but the journey there was more dangerous than ever.

"We need to gather information about the Void, how it works, and how to defeat it," Ariel said, walking side by side with Lilia. "It's not just a creature or a monster. It's a cosmic force."

I couldn't fully believe that at first, but after what we saw in the battle, I realized it was bigger than just an ordinary threat.

"Do you think the temple will have answers?" Lilia asked.

"Yes," Ariel nodded, "but we need to be prepared for something bigger than that. The Void is not an ordinary being. It is a delicate balance between light and darkness. When it seeps into our world, it can only be defeated if a true balance is found between these forces."

As Ariel spoke, I felt a shift in the air, as if something heavy was looming over us. There was a sense of impending danger, as if we were standing on the edge of disaster.

"It won't be easy," I said, trying to gather my thoughts. "But we need to find our answers before the Void consumes everything."

Chapter 62: The Journey to the Temple

The journey to the temple in the east marked the beginning of a new era of challenges. Every step was filled with danger. The Void was creeping in every corner, as if the land itself was tainted by this dark power. The forests we passed through and the mountains we climbed all reflected the energy that threatened existence itself.

Lilia walked beside me, her calm demeanor not betraying the catastrophe we were facing. But she carried a heavy burden, especially after we discovered that her magic was reacting strangely to the dark energy filling the air. The closer we got to the temple, the more pressure she seemed to feel.

"Do you feel that?" I asked, as we traversed a long stretch of dark forest.

"Yes, the magic in the air... it's as if the temple itself is radiating that energy. But there's something else, something strange. An unknown force," she replied in a low voice.

Ariel was leading the way, confidently navigating the rough paths. "It's in the temple. There's a deep secret hidden within its walls. But getting there won't be easy. If the Void is on our tail, the temple is our last refuge."

At that moment, I turned around and scanned the horizon. Something was following us in the darkness. I could feel the heavy presence trailing us, increasing our fear. It was as if the dark eye of the Void was watching us closely.

"Ariel, something's behind us," I whispered.

Ariel looked back, and we all stopped. "So, they've started to infiltrate. We must be ready."

Chapter 63: The Battle in the Dark Forest

Before we could move further, the creatures appeared. They emerged from the shadows as though they were formed from the Void itself. Their bodies were nearly invisible, but they radiated destruction. Their whispers echoed as they moved around us, as if they were searching for something.

"We won't be able to escape them," Lilia said, tightening her grip on her staff.

Ariel nodded, "We have no choice but to fight. Get ready."

With Ariel's command, the surrounding forest transformed into a terrifying battlefield. Magic erupted everywhere, in the air and around us, with each strike creating bursts of energy. We fought, but we quickly realized that these were no ordinary creatures.

Their strength drained us slowly. The attacks we launched left nothing but blurry scars on their bodies. But with every strike we missed, they came back stronger and more vicious.

"Use your skill!" Lilia shouted, "Copy their power, and be ready!"

I felt something strange seep into my body. The magic was interacting with me, as if fueling the skill I possessed. Without hesitation, I activated "Mimicry of Possibilities" and copied one of the creature's powers.

In that moment, an overwhelming energy surged through me. I felt myself transform into something else, a force that couldn't be stopped. A bright blue light shot from my hand, smashing one of the creatures.

But that wasn't enough. Suddenly, one of the massive creatures charged at me, moving with lightning speed, carrying its deadly black energy.

I dashed to the side, trying to avoid the attack. In the midst of the struggle, I felt something different. I felt I could change the course of the battle if I took control of the energy flowing through me.

"Ariel!" I shouted, "Let me use all my power!"

Ariel looked at me cautiously, then motioned with her eyes. "Do what you think is necessary. We depend on you."

Ignoring her warnings, I knew I had to push myself to the limit. I ran into the middle of the battle, getting close to the creatures. In a split second, I unleashed my full power.

The mysterious light that erupted from me was like a flood, overwhelming everything around us. The creatures that had been chasing us collapsed in moments, and in the blink of an eye, they vanished into the Void from which they came.

But the cost was steep. I felt an immense exhaustion weighing on my body. It was clear that using all of my energy wasn't an easy task. But we had survived.

Chapter 64: The Secret of the Temple

When we finally reached the temple, night had fallen. We stood before the immense structure, which seemed to be thousands of years old. The doors were made of dark blue stone, intricately carved with strange symbols. I felt that the temple was not just a place of worship, but a fortress of ancient secrets.

"The temple is the last refuge of knowledge," Ariel said in a low voice, "but we must be careful. There's something else inside. Something beyond our powers."

We were about to enter when we heard a voice coming from inside the temple. It was a faint whisper, but it was enough to fill the air with a sense of dread. "Do not enter..." the voice murmured.

"We are here for reasons greater than our fear," Ariel replied, raising her hands in a defensive gesture.

We pushed the massive doors open and stepped into the temple, its walls whispering ancient secrets.

Chapter 65: The Temple's Ancient Secrets

We entered the temple, and the atmosphere was thick with mystery. Its walls were adorned with strange carvings, and each step led us deeper into the unknown. I felt something unsettling in every corner, as if the temple itself was pulsing with the dark power we were trying to confront. There were traces of ancient things on the walls, as if they held a long history of magical wars.

"What's happening here?" Lilia asked, gripping her staff tightly, prepared for anything that might appear.

"The temple contains very ancient secrets. The power those who lived here before us wielded was immense, and their magic relied on controlling the Void," Ariel answered in a low voice, her eyes scanning the surrounding dimensions.

Then we stopped in front of a massive statue in the center of the hall. It was a statue of an ancient goddess, holding symbols that resonated with those seen in the Void. I couldn't explain it, but I felt something strange moving around us. It was as if the temple itself was trying to communicate with us.

"These are the gods who once protected this land, but when corruption began to spread, the temple was sealed, and the catastrophes began," Ariel said, her eyes focused on the carvings.

We approached the altar at the far end of the temple, which seemed like a sacred place. But as we got closer, I noticed something strange on the ground. It was a small magical circle, surrounded by incomprehensible letters.

"This..." Lilia whispered, "This is a sign... a sign that ancient magic was once here."

Suddenly, the ground beneath us trembled. Strange vibrations sent a deep echo through the temple, as if something enormous was approaching.

"The Void..." Ariel said, "It's here."

And just as we tensed, a massive dark form appeared before us. This creature was responsible for the corruption that had plagued this world. Its body was made of dark energy, and it had no clear features, but it sent waves of fear and darkness around it.

"We are facing the oldest force in this world," Ariel said, her voice trembling.

Lilia ran forward, pointing her staff at the dark being, "Let's face it together!"

But the creature was unaffected. Instead, the darkness began to envelop us, squeezing our chests. Its magic warped everything around us. Dimensions shifted, and the ground seemed to dissolve beneath our feet.

"If we don't cooperate, we won't survive," I said, seeing how the attack grew stronger. "I'll try to copy its magic... maybe I can mimic its power."

But Ariel shot me a sharp look, "Be careful. A mistake could lead to greater chaos."

I knew using my ability could change the course of the battle, but I was also aware of the price. The fight was about to take us to the edge of oblivion.

At that moment, I reached deep into my power, using "Mimicry of Possibilities" on the dark magic surrounding us. Slowly, I copied the power and released it, trying to control it.

The moment that energy spread around us, the temple trembled violently, and its walls began to collapse.
