Chapter 20 - Chapter 56-60

Chapter 56: The Hero and the Mysterious Girl

Days, even weeks, had passed since we defeated the Dark Guardian. But we felt that this was just the beginning of a much larger battle. The land had begun to slowly transform. Realms were starting to overlap, and the darkness returned to steal everything beautiful.

During those days, I continued my magical training under Lilia's guidance. She was an incredible sorceress, and I didn't fully understand how she had learned all those magical secrets. As time passed, I felt like I was discovering new dimensions within my ability to copy skills.

Then something strange happened.

One day, while I was practicing defensive magic, I felt something different. It was an odd sensation, as if I wasn't alone. I looked up to see a mysterious girl standing in the shadows. She was holding a long magical staff, and her eyes shimmered with an unusual color.

"Who are you?" I asked her cautiously.

The girl smiled lightly and said:

"I come from another place. I've been searching for you."

The upcoming chapters will be filled with more adventures and challenges awaiting Eyad and Lilia together. A new journey has begun, and with it, dark secrets we cannot ignore.

Chapter 57: The Mysterious Prophecy

The girl stood in front of us, her gaze carrying a mixture of confusion and seriousness, but behind her eyes was something far more mysterious than mere curiosity. She was wearing a dark robe, and her magical staff glowed with a strange color, as if it didn't belong to this world.

"Where did you come from?" Lilia asked, but the girl didn't answer right away.

She slowly moved her staff and raised her head, speaking in a calm voice:

"I am one of the first to cross from the ancient realms into this world... I've come to warn you. The Dark Guardian is just a part of something bigger. There is a deeper, stronger force waiting to destroy everything."

Her words were vague, but what was more mysterious was how she continued speaking, as if she knew everything about us.

"And who are you?" Eyad asked her, trying to control his nerves. He realized that this girl held a great secret.

"My name is Ariel," she said, looking at me. "But I'm not just an ordinary sorceress. I am the bearer of the prophecy."

"Prophecy?" Lilia asked, surprised. "What do you mean by that?"

Ariel nodded slowly and said: "An ancient prophecy says that when darkness and light collide, the hero who can confront the forces of darkness will appear. But this hero will not be alone. He will be with someone who possesses unlimited powers, someone who can copy skills, and he will learn how to balance between light and darkness."

A shiver ran through my body when I heard her words. Was she referring to me? Was she talking about me?

"If you mean me, what should I do?" I asked firmly, pointing out the battle that awaited us.

Ariel answered gently, but with serious tone: "You are not alone in this mission. Lilia will be your guide, but your unique power will allow you to balance the forces of light and darkness, those powers you will face in the days ahead."

Her words were heavy, as if she was warning us about something far worse than we knew.

Chapter 58: The Dark Days

Days passed, and we intensified our training in preparation for the challenges ahead. Ariel oversaw our training, revealing ancient secrets about the magical powers we would need to confront the looming threats of darkness. It felt as though time was running out and we were on the brink of facing a catastrophic event.

During those days, Eyad's training began to take on a different tone. His magical powers were developing rapidly, but he started to feel something strange. There was a hesitation deep inside him, as if all those powers came with a cost. Every time he used his skill to copy powers, he felt an internal sting, as if something was draining more from him than he was gaining.

Lilia watched silently, but it was clear that she was worried. "Do you feel something unusual?" she asked him one time as he practiced in the training ground.

"Yes, there's something strange happening." He replied, staring at his hands. "Every time I use the copying power, I feel like something within me is being drained, something bigger than my strength."

Ariel watched us closely and then said in a low voice: "This is normal... but you must be careful. There is something ancient in this world called 'The Void,' and it feeds off your power when you use it excessively."

"The Void?" we all asked, astonished.

She nodded and said: "Yes, it is an ancient entity that existed before the current realms. It feeds on magical energy. The more you deplete your energy, the closer you get to it."

This was a new threat, one we had never known about before. The danger was greater than ever.

"What can we do?" Eyad asked, feeling the weight of this new information.

Ariel answered: "You must find balance between your power and the power of the world. If you don't, you won't be able to stand against the darkness."

Chapter 59: The Double Challenge

The next day, we decided to leave the royal castle in search of deeper answers about The Void. Ariel pointed to a distant place in the east, where there was said to be an ancient temple that might contain answers about how to stop The Void.

"You must find that temple. There, you will learn how to fight The Void and how to use your powers without exhausting all your energy."

The journey was long and arduous. We passed through dense forests and rugged mountains, and along the way, the darkness tried to break through our world with invisible movements. The Dark Guardian had left traces indicating his return, and these traces carried an even greater level of danger.

Halfway through the journey, we felt something unnatural. There was a strange sound coming from afar, a sound like whispers from the depths.

"There's something out there. Something I can't explain," Lilia said in a tense voice.

Ariel led us cautiously, her eyes wide with caution. "The darkness is trying to reshape itself... This is not something to be taken lightly."

Suddenly, what we feared appeared before us. In the heart of the dark forest, a group of shadowy creatures materialized, their forms distorted and their movements unpredictable.

"You're late," one of them said in a low voice, but it carried a clear threat. "The Void is coming... and you won't be able to stop it now."

Chapter 60: The First Encounter

The dark forest emanated a heavy, dark energy, as if the very air were pressing down on our chests. The beings that appeared before us were more like living nightmares, their bodies shrouded in thick shadows, their eyes glowing a blood-red.

"You're too late," the being repeated, his voice trailing through the air like delicate threads, yet carrying a heavy threat. "There's nowhere to hide. The Void will envelop this world, and you won't be able to escape it."

Lilia grabbed her wand and held it up in front of her. The power of magic flowed through it, but she knew it wouldn't be enough. "If you represent the Void, I won't allow you to destroy our world."

The being smiled a distorted smile and said, "You don't understand. The Void isn't someone who can be defeated. It's a force that consumes everything."

At that moment, the being unleashed a wave of darkness toward us, shattering the ground around us. The darkness was so thick that it seemed as if time itself had stopped. Ariel moved quickly, using amazing magic to block the attack, but other creatures began moving toward us, carrying a deadly charge.

"Eyad!" Lilia shouted. "Use your skill, copy his power!"

But I was in a state of confusion. Each time I used my skill, the feeling became more and more bizarre. There were traces within me, as if I was losing a part of myself with each copy of a new power.

"What's happening to me?" I whispered to myself, but I couldn't answer. I felt like I was clinging to an invisible force, gradually weakening with each step.

Then I remembered Ariel's words about balance. I had to be wiser, not to exhaust myself thoughtlessly.

"Copy their power, but don't overuse it!" Ariel shouted.

Time was not on our side. I finally decided to use my skill, copying the power of one of the attacking creatures. I felt a tremendous surge of energy surge within me, and my eyes turned bright red, like fire.

At that moment, I felt I could fight the darkness.

I unleashed a beam of pure light, shattering one of the creatures advancing toward us. I felt victorious for a moment, but the other creatures grew in number, as if the darkness itself were endless.

"You will not succeed, Chosen Hero," the dark being said, smiling. "All your power will be wiped out by the Void."

But I didn't give up. If Ariel's prophecy was true, we were not alone in this struggle.

As I fought, I looked at Lilia, who was using her own magic. She drew on a mysterious force from within, and when she spoke ancient words, a cloud of arcane energy rose, tearing the dark creatures apart and giving us a brief reprieve.

"They shall not pass," Lilia said, her voice tired, but her resolve unwavering.

"We will not allow the Void to destroy this world," Ariel added, turning toward the remaining creatures.

And at that moment, I felt something strange. The dark forces surrounding us were receding slightly, as if an invisible shield had formed around us. Light was surrounding us, and I felt something new, something deeper within me.

"Is this balance?" I thought to myself, the moment I unleashed a brighter light, shattering the remaining dark creatures.

The darkness was receding, and the place was returning to relative calm. But I knew this battle was only the beginning of something greater. The Void was still there, and we had to uncover more of its secrets before it was too late.
