"§ÏŁĚÑÇĒ" A sharp sound resonated along the hall. All noises stopped after hearing that. It was as if they had all been silenced by some power. " I am Ganymede, your guide who is here to help you understand what is happening. Keep in mind that I am not your ally. I simply exist to give you information."
" All 8 billion humans have been brought here because of your incompetence. Earth was kind enough to give you life and raise you. But you chose to destroy Earth and all of its ecosystem. As such you have lost the right to live. Fortunately, Earth has given you all one last chance."
" Everything will be reset to the origin. You will choose one of the 5 Biomes we present to begin your new life. If nothing new is added you will tread the same path once again. As such we have chosen to add all the monsters from the world Dungeons and Thrones to your new world. But they will not exist inside Dungeons but roam freely in the world."
"Additionally, this world will have all the structures of that world, but the ones you refer to as NPCs will not exist. Earth has shown you mercy and once again chose to help you by giving you the powers of that world."
" You will be able to choose a class and level up like before. From skills to magic, everything is available. But nothing is free in this world. To prevent you from ruining the world again we will spawn the bosses of that world from weakest to strongest every month. The bosses you will face in this stage are the 72 lower-rank demons from weak to strong. They will spawn at a random place. Their only goal is destruction."
" Good luck you ungrateful beings. You will be teleported to your respective spaces to build your character after you choose your biome. Now you have 5 choices. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages. Choose wisely."
"The choices are 1) Forest, 2) Mountain, 3) Island, 4) Farmland, 5) Desert. Your Fate is in your hands. You may §ÞĔÅĶ now," said the angel-like woman. As soon as she said speak with that sharp voice everyone started panicking. Marco understood the situation as quickly as possible.
One of the characteristics that helped Marco beat the game Dungeons and Thrones is his god-like observation skills. He realised that whenever the woman speaks with a sharp voice, whatever she says happens. Right now that was the least of his concerns. He quickly noticed that people who chose one of the 5 biomes were quickly teleported to somewhere else.
Many panicked in this situation while some were excited to use magic. " Is this even a question? Isn't farmland the only best option here? It helps in the long term and short term as there is no need to worry about food. Farms are the foundation to build a kingdom, so that is the best choice of all of them ". Said a man near Marco.
Marco, who knew the difficulty of the Dungeons and Thrones, started thinking. As a gamer, his mind started running calculations to that man's question. Of course, he will never speak to that man, but that's just the side effect of eavesdropping. Your brain just thinks of a counter to an argument even though you are not involved in it.
Marco's brain starts running vividly. Farmland is not the best option it is actually the worst out of all of the options. In farmland, you will be given some bread at the beginning, some farming tools, and 10 seeds. But there are no NPCs so you cannot trade with them for more seeds. To make matters worse, the seeds take a long time to grow, assuming they grow safely. Farmland has monsters called locusts, which will destroy the crops, ruining your food source.
The only way to get seeds is from a structure that spawns called the seed granaries. Which is not a common structure. Sure, there are lots of lakes in that area, but you need tools to farm, which they do not give you. You still need to find a different structure called the abandoned village and hope to find tools there.
There are almost no trees there so you cannot get foods like fruits early in the game. To make matters worse, the only animals which are passive in farmland are Oxes, which are crucial for farming, and if killed, you can only do the Ox's job of ploughing the field yourself. Every other animal, like chickens and cows, is aggressive and not easy to kill or tame when the players are levelled.
The next worst option is the Island. There are more than 1 island. But that is still not enough for all the people who go there. There will only be one structure per Island making the survivors build a boat and go to the next island. They could fish for food( which is still hard as fishes are monsters too and hard to kill for newbies) so it is slightly better than farmland. If the residents of an island choose not to work together, there will be a war for resources, and they might resort to cannibalism for food.
Crossing the sea is not easy as the true monsters reside in the sea, and those on the Island need to cope with the extreme heat in the daytime. The next worst option is tied between mountains and the desert. The mountain actually looks like a better option than the desert. In the mountains, you only have to worry about the cold during the night, and you can get minerals by mining there. Food might be a problem in the beginning stages, but they can survive by killing moles and eating them.
The advantage of the mountains comes to light when building structures in there. You can easily get a lot of resources from the mines. You might think you can climb down the mountains to get resources but it will take one month of continuous climbing to get down from the mountain. Mountains in Dungeons and Thrones are massive and sky-high.
At first sight, the desert is the worst of all options. There are worse temperatures in both night and day as they cover both extremes of heat and cold. You will be in the middle of nowhere with no resources. Your only source of food is the monsters, and your only source of water is a cactus.
But there is a catch. Ruins spawn a lot in the desert, and many structures spawn in the desert. All of your rewards are increased and you gain double gold for killing monsters.
Gold is the currency of Dungeons and Thrones. It can not only be exchanged with NPCs but there are many things you can buy with it. All monsters in all biomes drop Gold, so it will probably become a new currency among the survivors. When compared to dollars, 1 Bronze is equal to 1 cent, 1 silver is equal to 1 dollar and 1 gold is equal to 100 dollars. Getting double the money makes me quicker to become rich if I survive the beginning.
Although veteran players know this many will not pick the desert as they are not confident in their survival and will choose forest.
The forest is filled with trees, so there is enough food in the beginning. Although rare you can find rivers and gain a water source. All the beginner buildings are made of wood, so now there is food and shelter. The monsters there are hard but it is manageable. With clothing acquired this seals the needs of a man.
But I cannot choose Forest. If the world is going to be overrun by monsters then only those with power will be respected. Only the strong can survive. I need to take the risk of the desert especially if I want to defeat the Angel of Death again. I was only able to win because I chose desert on that run. Just wait, Angel of Death, I will send you back into your grave again. As Marco finished thinking he chose the desert as his spawn location.
