Eli chuckled and kissed her cheek again "No? Then tell me what you want to eat?" Eli asked.
Lily looked up and said "Whatever you choose"
"Okay, stay here. I'll go get some food," Eli said.
Lily grabbed his hand and looked at him, "I'll come"
"It's raining outside, you just got here. Why don't you wait here for me. I'll be right back," Eli replied.
"No," Lily replied and whined like a little girl.
Eli understood that she wasn't ready to be persuaded, so he took out his phone and texted something.
At that moment, Grandpa Allen, who was very shocked by their conversation, called out to them to get their attention. "Eli?"
Eli looked at his grandfather. He knew how shocked his grandfather would be. Lily, finally remembering that she was not alone in the room, lowered her head in an embarrassment.
"Grandfather, I hope you get the land as soon as possible," Eli reminded his grandfather.
"Huh?" Grandfather asked in confusion.
"Have you forgotten grandpa, you made me deal with you last night?"
"Have you known each other before?" Grandfather asked.
"You're the one who introduced us to each other," Eli replied.
"You brat, so you already won but you didn't tell me when I'm betting with you?" Grandfather scolded.
"You're planning to trick me, so I'll let you fall for your trick." Eli countered.
Lily who didn't know anything about the bet looked at Eli. Her eyes are demanding "Explain"
Eli explained how his grandfather tricked him and about the bet and land. "He saw his wife's nature in you. So, he liked you so much"
Hearing Eli's words, Lily turned to Grandpa Allen and asked, "Grandpa, do you think I'm like your wife?"
Grandpa Allen smiled and said, "You certainly are."
"My parents would be happy to hear what you have said now," Lily said. "They always wanted me to be like her. She's madam.Alicia. Right?"
"You know my wife?" Grandpa Allen questioned.
"Hmm, I heard a lot about her deeds from my parents. When I told them about your identity last night, my mother remembered that you were Madam. Alicia's husband." Lily continued with a smile "Madam.Alicia helped my parents when they were in need. So they taught me to be kind. Your wife is truly a kind person, but I'm not like her." Lily's face had no trace of a smile, she turned to Eli and continued, "I'm not kind to everyone. I'm cruel too."
Eli, looking back at her cupped her face and replied "And I don't judge my wife."
Lily smiled and replied "I know, I can feel it. I'm just letting you know."
Lily turned to Grandfather Allen and thanked him "Grandfather, We are very grateful to you and your wife. You truly helped my parents. Thank you so much."
"It's all because of my wife's goodness. She helped them and wanted them to help others, so she always told them to try to help others. She once told me that telling them to help meant that if they helped, society would change for the better because they would do good things." Grandfather Allen proudly said about her wife.
"She's a really great person. You're so lucky to have her, Grandfather," Lily praised him.
"Hahaha, I'm definitely lucky and I know my grandson is lucky to have you too." Grandfather Allen replied.
Eli looked at Lily and smiled.
"Yes, I'm lucky to finally meet my wife," Eli replied to her grandfather and kissed her cheek. Lily blushed at him.
At that moment, there was a knock on the door. Eli gave permission to "enter".
It was Eli's assistant Sebastian. He came with bags of food in his hand. He greeted his boss, the boss's grandfather, and nodded towards the butler David and Lily.
