Chapter 219 - Landing 2

"Galen actually told me to stop shooting!" Sylvanas said, annoyed.

Sylvanas was enjoying the competition with her sister.

However, despite some reluctance, Sylvanas and Alleria stopped. After spending several days together, Sylvanas had developed a sliver of trust in Galen.

Observing the battle, they understood Galen's reasoning.

The Orc peons were weak, easily killed by the infantry.

"Damn, the humans have discovered our plan!"

Orgrim Doomhammer realized his plan to exhaust the enemy's ranged attacks had failed.

He had hoped to weaken the humans and then send in the Orc warriors.

"Varok! You personally supervise the battle! Have the warriors charge mixed in with the peons!"

Orgrim changed tactics. Varok was a brave warrior, Orgrim's guard. His brother was a good commander, entrusted with difficult assaults.

"Zubjub, get the blademasters moving, find a chance to assassinate the enemy commander!"

"As you command, Warchief!"

A new wave of Orc attacks began. Sylvanas and Alleria saw taller, better-equipped Orcs.

"It's them!" the Windrunner sisters said. "The previous cannon fodder doesn't count. Let's start over!"

"Focus on headshotting those tall Orc warriors!"

"Kill!"

The battle intensified!

Galen noticed the Orc warriors' improved equipment. Ironforge was supplying the Horde.

A rain of arrows pinned the shield-bearing Orcs to the beach. Sylvanas and Alleria sought out weak points.

The Windrunner sisters stood tall, their golden hair and cloaks fluttering in the sea breeze, a beautiful sight amidst the chaos.

Galen saw Varok Saurfang, an old opponent!

Saurfang's appearance signaled the arrival of the Blackrock clan, the Horde's main force.

More landing craft arrived, a vast swarm rushing towards the beach. The two-kilometer beach was packed with small boats!

The Blackrock Orcs were stronger than the peons and other clans.

Ogres, over three meters tall, charged mindlessly, pushing the battle to the foot of the mountain. However, arrows and bullets killed most of them.

Omar's troops, on the front line, faced the second wave of Orcs and Ogres. Saurfang advanced stubbornly, eroding the first line of defense.

"Sylvanas, have your people conserve some stamina to guard against the possible appearance of the red dragon flight!"

The battle was intense. Both sides were evenly matched. Galen's forces, only twenty thousand strong, held the high ground.

Galen had the Third, Fourth, and Fifth Legions hidden in the newly built Dangarok fortress as reserves.

Lothar's plan was for the beaches to be a decoy. When the Orcs committed their forces, Southshore would attack from the middle, joining forces with Lordaeron and Alterac to encircle the Orcs.

Admiral Daelin would also attack from the sea. However, complete annihilation was impossible. Lothar only sought to kill as many Orcs as possible under favorable circumstances!

The Alliance was not a monolith. Only Stormwind, Stromgarde, and Kul Tiras were truly committed.

Lothar needed a decisive victory to show the kings and soldiers the true threat of the Orcs.

Omar's troops were struggling. The Blackrock Orcs were strong, and the infantrymen struggled to defend.

However, Galen had integrated high-ranking knights into the infantry. They could charge on horseback, and dismounted, they were equal to the Orcs in strength.

The knights, wielding lances, killed the Orcs through gaps in the shields, a simplified but effective version of the Macedonian phalanx.

The battle reached a stalemate again!

"Gul'dan! Isn't your spell ready yet?" Orgrim Doomhammer demanded. The Horde's warriors were fighting and dying, and Orgrim needed his plan to succeed.

"Soon, Warchief. I will give the humans a great gift!"
