Chapter 84 - Orcs?

July, Year One of the Dark Portal.

Galen stood on a steep hilltop, gazing at the mountain-ringed basin in the distance. The mountains around him, including the plains in the distance, were all a fiery red.

Lightning flashed from time to time in the gray sky, and the thunder rumbled, reminding Galen of when Goku first transformed into a Super Saiyan on Namek.

"Galen, this land is synonymous with barrenness and poverty. It's hard to imagine any creatures surviving here!"

Standing beside Galen, a tall and handsome man sighed. He wore a red robe, and the Sin'dorei Staff in his right hand stood firmly on the ground. It was none other than the High Elf Prince, Kael'thas.

During this time, Galen spent his time either in the construction up of Trollbane Port or teleporting around.

He went to Southshore to place orders for the construction of sea vessels and to recruit sailors and shipwrights.

He went to Kul Tiras to chat with his little buddy Derek and bring some gifts to little Jaina to improve his relationship with her.

He went to Dalaran to spar with Kael'thas. Based on Gandalf's ninth-tier peak strength, Galen also possessed the strength of a ninth level ice mage after some investment. In Kael'thas's eyes, a thirteen-year-old ninth-tier mage was a genius beyond compare, and his affection for Galen increased.

In addition, his father, the High Elf King, wanted him to befriend the Kingdom of Stromgarde, so he was happy for Galen to come and spar with him.

Therefore, Galen did not feel bored while building Trollbane Port, but rather enjoyed it. All thanks to mass teleportation, with its short cooldown, long teleportation distance, and large number of people it could carry, it was simply a divine skill.

The construction of Trollbane Port was nearing completion. This was the territory Galen built that was second only to Minas Tirith. Galen also intended to open this port city to the outside world. Not only was it large in scale, but it also had many non-base buildings, mostly residences prepared by the immigrants.

This time, Kael'thas accepted Galen's invitation to visit his new territory, Trollbane Port. Galen hoped that Kael, as the prince of the High Elf Kingdom, could help him promote this commercial port and bring in more people.

After visiting the city, Galen had a whim and teleported Kael'thas, Gandalf, and Aragorn to the coast northeast of the Blasted Lands. Then, the group quietly sneaked to the hilltop directly east of the Dark Portal.

Along the way, Kael'thas complained that Galen was being mysterious and secretive, using magic to hide their figures. It wasn't until Galen told Kael that there was a large group of powerful interdimensional creatures invading Azeroth that Kael'thas's interest was piqued.

"Galen, are there really interdimensional creatures like you said?"

Galen strongly requested Kael'thas to stop supplying mana to the three fireballs behind him to prevent the orc warlocks from sensing the magic fluctuations.

At this moment, Galen was looking around, referring to the terrain around the hilltop and combining it with the strategic map of the Heart of Origin. He determined that the basin formed by the large ring-shaped mountain to the west was where the Dark Portal was located.

"I'm sure, it's in the basin to the west."

After Galen finished speaking, he took out several engineering telescopes from his backpack and distributed them to everyone. This thing could replace a mage's telescope spell and avoid the orcs detecting magic fluctuations.

Through the engineering telescope, the Dark Portal could be clearly seen. It was a very large structure, similar in shape to the Arc de Triomphe. Two huge statues of people holding swords stood on the two pillars. It was said that Medivh created them in his own image.

Many simple leather tents had already been set up in the basin. Squads of tall, burly green-skinned orc soldiers patrolled back and forth in the camp. They were bare-chested, wearing only simple shoulder guards, and their weapons were mostly battle axes and spiked clubs.

While Galen was scanning, he saw a hunched figure on the platform in front of the Dark Portal, with many bone spurs piercing through his body, with several small skulls strung on them.

Galen felt that this figure was a little familiar, so he took a closer look.

Suddenly, the hunched orc turned around vigilantly. Galen's telescope was pointed directly at the orc's face. Under the black hood was an ugly orc face with a dense white beard. His dark green eyes met Galen's!

Holy crap! Gul'dan!

Gul'dan seemed to be roaring loudly, his arm pointing at the hilltop where Galen and the others were. The orc camp below was in an uproar, and a large number of orc soldiers rushed out of the tents, heading in groups towards the location Gul'dan pointed to!

The orcs' actions made Kael'thas put down the engineering telescope in his hand and look at Galen in surprise. Obviously, Kael'thas's attention had not been on Gul'dan just now.

"We've been spotted, let's get out of here!"

Gandalf understood, he raised his staff, and a flash of white light enveloped them, and they disappeared from the red hilltop.

Trollbane Port, the town hall in the center of the city. Galen sat in a chair with lingering fear!

Damn, Gul'dan's vigilance is so strong. He discovered me observing him from at least five kilometers away. He deserves to be the first legendary level warlock.

"Galen, what are those green-skinned creatures?" Kael'thas couldn't help but ask first.

"I don't know either. My fleet discovered these strong creatures on the edge of the swamp when exploring the coastline before. I was just curious this time, so I brought you all to explore!"

Galen certainly couldn't tell the truth that he had transmigrated and could foresee the future. Being a prophet wasn't that easy. Didn't Medivh go to the Royal Palace of Lordaeron to warn everyone about the arrival of the Scourge, only to be ridiculed by a group of nobles and driven away by the king as a jester?

Kael'thas didn't have much say in the kingdom either. He was a sacrifice in the political struggle between the king and the Silvermoon Council. To put it nicely, he was the representative of the High Elf Kingdom sent to the magic city of Dalaran. To put it bluntly, he was exiled in disguise.

What could a prince who was far away from the center of the kingdom's power do? Fortunately, the High Elves were a race with long lifespans. A few decades was not a long time for them. In addition, the king's methods allowed Kael'thas to still have a base of popular support among the people.

If it were a human, a prince far away from the capital would be forgotten by the people in a few years.

"Prepare early, Kael. These beasts do not belong to Azeroth. Did you see that huge portal? I sensed the aura of demons in its vast energy!"

"Demons?"

"Yes, demons. Your High Elf records are full of records of demons. Even the Kirin Tor has a lot of information, and they know more clearly than I do!"

"I will pay attention to it. Those green-skinned creatures do have some ominous magic! I will draw their appearance with a recording stone and send it to the members of the Council of Six in Dalaran!"

"That would be best. In the south, humans only have the Kingdom of Stormwind. If these beasts really come to invade Azeroth, they will bear the brunt. I will pass the news to my father and let him warn the royal family of Stormwind!"

"Okay, we'll go our separate ways!"

After Kael'thas finished speaking, he teleported away in a hurry. As for how much effect it would have, Galen didn't have much hope.

The largest forces in the Eastern Kingdoms were the High Elves, humans, and dwarves/gnomes. Their relationship was fairly harmonious, and they all had a common enemy: the trolls.

The trolls had been suppressed since their defeat in the great war 2,800 years ago. Although the human kingdoms had split, their population and national strength were booming. The High Elves also considered themselves the first magic kingdom.

The nobles were immersed in glory. They would not believe the news of an interdimensional creature invasion, even if the news was delivered by a prince. At most, out of respect for the prince and his symbolic status as a council member, they would send a reconnaissance team.

The reason Galen brought Kael'thas was that he hoped that after the Kingdom of Stormwind couldn't withstand the orcs' offensive and the entire country fled, the human nations would reorganize the alliance. He could influence his father to make the elven king pay attention to it, instead of just sending a ranger squad to support them.

That was not support, that was a slap in the face!

Kael! This is the first step in me helping you. You have to repay me well in the future.

This will cost you a million gold coins in the future thanks!
