Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: I’m Confident I Can Take on Morax One-on-One!

Satisfied.

Tartaglia was extremely pleased with this card, praising it endlessly. After dismantling many cards and upgrading the level of his Equipment, he felt an even greater surge of power.

Tartaglia was even more satisfied now.

"This improvement is almost frightening."

Tartaglia was already plenty strong—with his Vision and Delusion, he stood among the top-tier powerhouses across all of Teyvat.

But after spending 300 million Mora at the card shop, he realized he had essentially created another version of himself.

What did that mean?

It meant that, as long as he had Mora, he could mass-produce Fatui Harbingers!

If the Tsaritsa found out about this, he wondered if she would finally smile.

"Worth the price?" Lu Heng asked with a chuckle.

"Absolutely!"

"Far beyond expectations!"

This wasn't just a matter of calculating returns in multiples.

The more he thought about it, the more Tartaglia felt this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity—one with unimaginable rewards.

"Still, don't dismantle all your cards. Keep a few for yourself," Lu Heng glanced over and reminded him.

Tartaglia, realizing his oversight, quickly scanned the remaining cards in his hand.

He noticed that while some cards weren't high-tier, they still provided significant boosts to his abilities.

Immediately, Tartaglia began carefully selecting which ones to keep.

When it came to getting stronger, there was no room for carelessness!

As he sorted through the remaining cards, Tartaglia pondered.

The Tsaritsa's plan had to be carried out—his loyalty was to her, and her will was his guiding light.

He still had three months. Plenty of time.

But Mora had now become a problem.

Finishing his selection, Tartaglia equipped a few cards he was satisfied with and dismantled the rest to upgrade his Equipment.

Then, he turned to Lu Heng and asked, "Boss Lu, do you have any paper?"

"I do."

Lu Heng handed him some.

Tartaglia was about to turn away but hesitated.

Given that Lu Heng could run such a shop, his strength was likely beyond comprehension.

Trying to hide anything from him—whether inside the shop or not—was probably pointless. Rather than leaving a sneaky impression, it was better to be straightforward.

Tartaglia sat down and picked up a pen to start writing.

After jotting down a few lines, he paused.

"Boss Lu, I'm not exactly a literary genius. Could you… give me some pointers?"

Lu Heng raised an eyebrow.

He had noticed Tartaglia's earlier hesitation—was he now asking for help drafting a letter?

"Wouldn't they see through it at a glance?" Lu Heng chuckled.

"Doesn't matter. As long as the signature's genuine," Tartaglia waved it off. "I need to report my situation to Her Majesty and ask our financial backer for more Mora. Boss Lu, you might not know this, but while my funding privileges are high, they're not unlimited. So I'm hoping the Tsaritsa can pull some strings."

Lu Heng immediately understood.

"Say no more. How do you want it written?"

Tartaglia began describing his excitement, growing more animated as he spoke.

Lu Heng's brush moved swiftly across the paper.

The entire letter conveyed Tartaglia's exhilaration, describing the card shop in terms that bordered on speechless awe.

Translated plainly, the message was simple: Your Majesty, please—tell Pantalone to send me more Mora!

As he finished, Lu Heng reflected.

Among the Fatui Harbingers, Tartaglia was undoubtedly the most loyal to the Tsaritsa.

Not only was he a native of Snezhnaya, but he had also been personally groomed by her.

So, if he outright asked her for money—especially a lot of it—she would likely agree after some consideration.

Ah, another big spender.

"One more letter!"

Tartaglia pulled out a 1-million-Mora coin and handed it to Lu Heng. "I did some research on Liyue customs—this is called a writer's fee."

"Oh?"

Lu Heng smirked.

His intel work wasn't bad.

Without hesitation, he accepted the Mora and asked, "What's this one about?"

"Write this: I don't think I'm a match for the Geo Archon Morax. But if I had a Tier-5 Equipment and at least three Gold Cards, I'm confident I could take him on one-on-one and retrieve that item!" Tartaglia declared eagerly.

That item referred to the Gnosis.

Lu Heng gave Tartaglia a strange look.

This kid probably had no idea about the deal between his Tsaritsa and Morax, did he?

Played like a fiddle—by both his enemies and his allies. The thought was almost laughable.

"You've got quite the ambition," Lu Heng remarked.

"What can I say? I'm young."

Tartaglia shrugged.

Despite his injuries and the bandages wrapped around him, his passionate heart was beating as strong as ever!

Before getting these cards, I couldn't beat Morax. But now that I have them, how could I possibly lose?!

The thought of the past two months almost made him laugh.

Back when the Harbingers held their meeting to assign missions, he had been racking his brain over how to outmaneuver Morax and claim his Gnosis.

But now?

Tartaglia scoffed.

Why bother with schemes?

Was there even a need for elaborate plans anymore?!

All he had to do was march into Liyue with Tier-5 Equipment and a handful of Gold Cards and challenge Morax directly!

Tartaglia had already imagined the scene—the moment they met, he'd ask:

You wouldn't want Liyue to be reduced to ruins, would you?

"It's done."

Lu Heng's voice snapped Tartaglia out of his daydream.

"Thanks!" Tartaglia clasped his hands in gratitude.

Lu Heng could tell the young man had done his homework on Liyue customs—he'd even mastered the formal salute.

"No need for thanks."

Lu Heng smiled faintly before adding, "Normally, I wouldn't say more, but I should still warn you."

Tartaglia immediately straightened up, listening intently.

This must be the extra benefit of paying the writer's fee.

Liyue's culture really doesn't lie!

"Avoid unnecessary bloodshed. Spare the innocent. Too much killing will affect your karma," Lu Heng said.

Tartaglia's expression turned solemn. "Understood! Thank you for the advice—I'll remember it!"

Lu Heng nodded and said no more.

After some small talk, Tartaglia excused himself—he needed to send the letters.

Lu Heng watched as he limped away.

Tartaglia munched on a box of candy beans as he walked.

These weren't ordinary treats—they were highly effective healing pills, a weaker version of medicinal cards, categorized as external-use items.

"Truly miraculous."

Even now, Tartaglia was still amazed.

His injuries had improved significantly—compared to when he left the shop, he wasn't limping anymore.

After asking for directions, he arrived at the Hotel Debord.

"Lord Tartaglia!"

"Ah, hello there."

Tartaglia generously handed out some healing candy beans to the children nearby. "Here, take these—just a little gift."

"Thank you, Lord Tartaglia!" The kids cheered.

"You…"

Arlecchino glanced at Tartaglia's bandaged state, though her poker face remained flawless.

Tartaglia ignored her thoughts and said seriously, "Quick, use your Hearth's transmission to send these two letters to Zapolyarny Palace!"

Without questioning why, Arlecchino simply replied, "Lyney, handle it."

"Yes."

Lyney promptly sealed the letters with anti-tampering measures before hurrying off.
